      If you have any issues with heating or cooling systems, Jay is the guy to go to. I have never know a service professional that knew what he was doing and reasonably priced. He came in identified the issue and fixed it within half an hour. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jay for any issues you have with your AC unit.

      Recent experience: 0/5 Unit does not work after thousands of dollars and many wasted days off work. Points of contact quickly went silent. I called the office weeks ago to see if the person who responds on Yelp wanted to work with me but no reply. Btw, Trio tells customers to leave reviews to earn bonuses for technicians, which serves to dilute the reviews that are written on a customer's own volition.

      I've worked with this company for three years in the South Bay, where I help take care of maintenance items that my elders are unable to attend to. Trio used to be PacificAir, then changed their name (I noticed a customer in 2023 gave a low star review and called them Pacific Air, and Trio claimed they were not affiliated!). I liked them for some of the great techs that I met, but they seem to have a hard time holding on to those employees. I now feel disrespected and swindled and would never choose to work with them again.

      - 2022: great visits with Brett and Minh.
      - 2022 August: I recommended them to my mother on a construction project. We spoke with Sam and sent him a copy of the plans. He was courteous over email, but at the site visit he had not looked at the plans and was condescending.
      - 2023: I wanted to give them another chance because of previous good experiences. Firooz came out. Some issues, but the whole house fan was successfully replaced.
      - 2024 June: AC work. The visit started ok, but then he said he would NOT check the filters because "they're pretty high up there." He said if I scheduled and paid for another visit in the winter or signed up for a maintenance plan, then he would check them.
      - 2024 July. After the last visit, I would have chosen to skip Trio, but I already had an appointment for a mini split install. Sales person was Thomas. We agreed on the location of the head unit, and I explained that the air needs to blow back and forth in order to reach all areas, especially the upstairs sleeping loft. Thomas guaranteed satisfaction. I said I needed the unit installed at the beginning of the coming week, and he said that if I signed the contract soon, he would be able to do that. So, even though Trio quoted a higher price, I signed because they said they'd meet the timeline.
      I got confirmation that they would start Tuesday, so I arranged my schedule and traveled to San Jose. I waited all day and no one showed up. I called the office and spoke with Anthony, who did NOT apologize for the no-show, but did made sure we would start the next day. He also came to make sure we had a good electrical plan in place.
      The following day the crew arrived. They demanded I move my vehicle because they said if I did not, they would scratch it when they moved items in. While I was moving my car, they abruptly moved their van, squeezed through the gate, took out branches of the fruit tree, and nearly hit the roof. I had to run to stop the automatic gate from hitting their van, since they did not communicate about what they were doing or ask permission to park behind the gate. They shrugged off the damage to the fruit tree, and laughed off nearly hitting the roofline.
      Thomas had said he couldn't tell me in advance what model they were going to install. So, at the beginning of the day during unboxing, I tried to make sure the head unit was capable of blowing side to side as discussed. Miguel assured me it was and got his coworker to confirm. On the second day, I watched as the two techs often sat around in the van, and sometimes hung out inside. Miguel acted annoyed at my request to adjust the conduit to be level at the front of the building. In the afternoon I found that the head unit did not move air side to side as promised. Miguel tried to convince me that buying a new remote control would fix it?! He also made a weird joke about how I should board up the windows if I actually want the home to stay cool and that would make it safer, which made me uncomfortable. The crew departed while I had to be off site for 1 hour. When I returned I called Thomas and Anthony about the unit not doing what we had agreed on, both of whom never followed up. Then, even though they were aware the unit was incorrect, Trio charged thousands of dollars to my credit card, which I did not know they had on file, presumably saved from the down payment. This was egregious since I had said I wanted to pay the bill by check to avoid the large extra credit card fee.
      By the next week the unit was not working. 3 more visits and more time taken off work, and the system doesn't function and has a leak. Nobody has been in touch about the head unit not being what we discussed. Overall, what sticks out is how uncomfortable the install interactions were, at times I felt almost unsafe, and that Anthony and Thomas gave their word on this project but now refuse to get back to me.

      I am extremely disappointed with my experience working with Trio, specifically Thomas. Despite having seen the space and taking measurements, they sold me a system that clearly wouldn't fit. When I expressed concerns, I was assured that an installation manager would verify the compatibility, but this promise was broken. After multiple follow-ups, the manager confirmed the system was indeed unsuitable.
      Thomas then offered an alternative, only to disappear again. When I finally reached them, they proposed an even less efficient system.

      This entire process has been unprofessional and frustrating. I strongly advise caution when dealing with Trio.
