Let's be honest, it's not that hard to find good sushi in Vancouver. But for some reason I'm always still excited and surprised when I find another great sushi place. Tsuki Sushi Bar being one of those gems that I am officially obsessed with! This place has delicious, fresh tasting sushi at a reasonable and fair price. I absolutely love oshi and aburi sushi, so I was happy to find they serve it here. We ordered Salmon avocado, oven baked magma roll, 1pc toro aburi nigiri, salmon oshi...and then last minute decided to order a white roll. I clearly love aburi because every single item I ordered, other than the salmon avo roll was torched. The flavours from each roll were delightful. I find that with sushi, special rolls / saucy rolls often end up tasting similar after several bites, but the rolls we ordered were all unique in flavour. I think my favourite roll was the white roll because it had chunks of scallop and real crab on top! Absolutely delicious. Although it was a slightly on the salty side, I quite liked it. I also noticed that the restaurant uses sockeye salmon vs. Atlantic. I personally don't mind either way, but this might be plus for someone else. The restaurant wasn't busy with dine-in customers despite it being a long weekend & Valentines day. That being said, it was busy with take out orders. We were warned after ordering that the food would take longer than usual due to the kitchen being backed up. Fair enough, we did end up waiting a bit longer. The rolls all came out at the same time on one platter. We enjoyed each bite. Some reviews mentioned the tea being watered down, which was true. But I wasn't phased by that. The restaurant was also brightly lit, which made it feel spacious and open. There were no plexiglass or barriers between tables, but it seemed the tables were distanced enough, and all cooks / server were wearing masks. I'm still thinking about all the sushi I ate, and I can't wait to come back and eat more!!!

One of my favourite spots in town for casual sushi
Their Aburi combo is bomb. The spicy tuna tataki roll is another favourite. The tsuki dynamite roll is also fun and tasty. Overall though everything is well made here. Haven't had a single bad order out of dozens of orders
My go to is to order the party platter C, which is amazing value for 3-4 people and has some of my favourite rolls.
Ambiance is casual. Wooden cafeteria vibe tables/seating. Service always pleasant and polite. Usually no wait for a tableHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 25, 2024
Sushi place on Abbott across from International Village.
Parking here sucks. Nearest lot I can think of is International Village. Just don't get caught.
The inside has lots of wooden tables, and looks somewhat modern.
Staff are friendly but a bit slow. The place wasn't that busy either. Had to wave them down a few times.
The chirashi don here is a wee bit pricy, but pretty solid. The menu mentions 15 pieces, but I counted some 19. 2 scallop (squid?), 2 hokkigai, 2 salmon, 2 tuna, 1 toro, 3 more salmon, 2 seared tuna, 2 tako, 1 ebi, and 2 tamago. In any case, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was fresh. Even the rice was tasty.
I would gladly come back. Recommended.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Mar 21, 2024
Tsuki Sushi Bar is located in Chinatown, right across the street from International Village. We dropped by here for quick and simple lunch. The food was quite good and they have a good number of Vegetarian specialty rolls on their menu.
I shared a Veggie California Roll and a Veggie Futomaki with someone else in the family who like me, was wanting to eat something light and at the same time Vegetarian. Veggie California Roll consisted of tofu, avocado, cucumber & balsamic sauce while the Veggie Futomaki was made of Shiitake, cucumber, spinach, kanpyo, bell pepper and Inari.
Really enjoyed these two rolls. Most people think of raw fish when they think of sushi, but Vegetarian sushi can be very tasty as well and for anyone who's struggled with the words "Eat your veggies!" I find that it's an absolutely delightful way to eat my veggies! Wish more sushi restaurants would expand their Vegetarian options!
Service: Good
Parking: Paid parking on the street or in the underground parking lot across the street at International Village

Authentic with a wide variety of creative rolls this restaurant appeals to sushi lovers from all walks of life. With a small dining room, get there early and expect to be stunned by their specials. Even those who are nervous around raw fish can find suitable options. The food comes out quickly too. My only negative was I asked for soy paper instead of seaweed but was given lettuce which was odd but not unpleasant.

I've written about my Canucks related foor escapades before. Tsuki is probably the last of my go tos for a pre-game meal. Let's be honest, would you rather pay $30 for a sandwich and drink in the arena, or would you rather spend closer to $20 for some pretty darn good sushi with a cup of hot tea?
Tsuki is fairly busy on Canucks game nights. The key is to definitely show up a bit on the early side. You'll get a table, and then can head to Rogers to watch the warm up skate. Despite how busy it is, it's not an uncomfortable packed as the tables are spacious enough along with the bar. I get fairly good vibes as well from the lighting and decor.
I've gone a couple times and can't say I've had anything bad. I'm a rolls type of person and I enjoy everything I've ordered. They have some fancy and funky stuff available as well. I appreciate their twist on the Dynamite Roll and think having that torched saucy top is fairly neat. Baked/scorched rolls are what I would consider their way of standing out. I haven't tried them myself but every time I see them come out it looks pretty good.
Two thumbs up to Tsuki for a great sushi experience steps away from the game. It's the end of the season for me now, but I'm for sure going to go back next season.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 6, 2023
My friend and I each got a roll to share - the smoky yam roll and the Hawaiian roll. I thought both of them were not bad but I didn't find anything too special or spectacular about them. The pineapple on the Hawaiian roll also tasted a bit dry and not as juicy as pineapples usually taste. Overall not a bad place if looking for a quick bite or sushi in the area.

Came here on a Wednesday night for dinner with my husband, and we were pleasantly surprised! Our order: sockeye salmon oshi (pressed sushi), house roll, and avalanche roll with black rice substitute. Total bill $33 canadian dollars before tax and tip.
Pros:
- Wasn't too busy on a weeknight
- Pretty fast service, didn't feel like we had to wait too long
- Pretty affordable sushi overall, especially if you get one of the cheap rolls for under $10.
- It was my first time having pressed sushi! and it was pretty good, the sockeye salmon is yummy and the jalepeno oddly added a really good twist
- Honestly cute and casual vibes, a decent place for a date or family dinner.
- I don't know if black rice substitute is common in Vancouver, but it's not easy to find in the Bay Area, so we enjoyed the feature.
We will be back! Great simple place to get our sushi fixHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 11, 2022
This.sushi.is.so.good. Coming from ottawa where we're not exactly known for our top notch sushi, this was such a treat! Locally sourced fish and OceanWise approved can ease your conscience as you chow down on some beautifully prepared and delish sushi! Would definitely go back- the menu is huge it was almost impossible to choose! Lots of locals dining there too so you know it's good.

I visited Tsuki around 5 on a weekday for dinner. There was no one else in the restaurant and I was seated right away. They did check my vaccination status and my ID!
There are a ton of options at this restaurant so I went with the classic combo that they offered (I think around $10?) with three rolls: California, tuna and salmon.
The food was really good and also came with miso soup! The service was fast and the space was clean.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
