Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

We started packing for our move, but with a broken foot decided to hire a moving company. We had seen Two Men & a Truck in our complex before, so they were the only company I called. I am just moving across town, but needed moved into storage. My dad is 72 and handicap. He can't move around or help pack. When Lowrell showed up playing his 60's music it gave dad's spirits a boost. Trevon and Thomas are so personable as well. These guys are amazing. They are all efficient, friendly, and just made our move so much easier. We really can't thank them enough. If you are looking to have your things moved & packed these young men are definitely the ones to have come. Everyone at Two Men and a Truck have been very kind & helpful. I will definitely call them when I need my things moved into my new house. I will also be asking for Lowrell, Trevon, and Thomas specifically. Lowrell has some amazing moving skills. You definitely want him on your next move. If you are looking for a reliable moving company call Two Men and a Truck.

Today, we had David, Mario and Andrew move furniture and belongings from our last storage unit that required the elevator.

They were fast, professional and knew what they were doing. It took them just 1.5 hrs to move our stuff from storage to the truck and then just 1 hour and 15 minutes to unload at our house including placing 2 couches and a dining table on top of two large rugs. They also placed 2 of the plastic posts under the box spring the movers from last week didn't do.

We hired Two Men and a Truck after another local company last week took 11 hours to move us out of 3 storage units. Then another 3 hrs to unload at our house. The mover from last week also hit our car when leaving.

STAY AWAY!!!

I hired them to load my POD & I even provided more than enough moving blankets. I was moving to Virginia. Look at the attached pics that show the conversation between me & the company. I called and emailed several times & was told by Gizuel that Enrique the manager would call me back. He never did, be brushed me off and acted like their movers didn't cause this damage. Never refunded me a dime!

My items were banged up against the stucco walls of my apt complex. Their 2 movers (Ricardo & Issac) struggled to carry the heavy items down the stairs. If they were struggling that much, another mover should've been called for extra help. My items were new, in perfect condition & some of the items were purchased only a few days prior to the move like moving blankets & sofa covers.

TV Stand - Purchased for $552.98

Sofa/Sectional - Purchased for $1,949.06

Moving Blankets (6 Damaged) - Purchased for $9.99x6+8.750% = $65.18

Sofa Covers $43.99 Each (2 Damaged) - $87.98

I have high praise for Dillon, Josh and Andrew. They arrived on time when promised, and worked extremely hard for the 4 hours or so that the move required. They were highly professional and I will recommend them to others who ask me who I used for my move.
The experience was flawless, and isn't that what we hope for when moving?

Blocked the entire road to unload something. Left it there for 15 minutes. What a joke

Stay very far away from this horrible place. If I could give 0 stars I would. Unless you want your belongings to be broken and never hear from them again. My $1,200 couch is STILL broken and we moved in 3 months ago for them to say " oops nothing can be done"
Shame on you and whoever runs this business.

Do not use this company! My mom hired them for a very small local job, and one of the movers stole thousands of dollars in jewelry, including heirlooms, from her home. He was in a section of her house that he had no reason to be in, and at the time, my mom thought his excuse for being there seemed suspicious. After they left she discovered the theft. A police report was filed and dna was collected, but the company has done nothing thus far. The mover denied it, so apparently they believed him.

I wasn't really sure what to expect when we booked these guys for our move, but they did such a great job!!!

They came in ready to work and really busted a move to get all of our items securely wrapped and in the truck! They asked questions if they were unsure about items and were really careful not to bang up any walls (both moving stuff out of the old place and into the new place).

We moved from San Diego to Temecula, and they made the drive and helped with everything. Really a lifesaver and saved us so much time!

Both guys were professional, friendly, helpful and ready to get the job done as quickly as possible! They came ready with the truck, blankets and Saran wrap

Anthony and Henry were great! Definitely made our move less stressful!

Theft. Damage. Dishonesty. Lack of Integrity.

Please listen to the reviews regarding theft, property damage, and the way these situations have been handled. These are not one time occurrences. Look up Two Men and A Truck San Diego on the Better Business Bureau and read the disputes / claims yourself.

I hired Two Men and A Truck in May 2024 - there was damage, stains, rips to items, damage to floor boards to both homes (point A & point B), theft of $800 cash and a box of jewelry, and incredibly inconsistent and untruthful communication from the Customer Experience Specialist Adriana Espina & the Owner of the Franchise, Enrique Alvarez. They did not use floor protectors, they threw everything in the back of the truck, they didn't wrap cushions, basically everything a moving company is supposed to do- they didn't do it. I had also paid a $150 fee to cover up to $5000 worth of damage. After being ghosted by TMAAT for several weeks and inconsistent communication I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General, as well as made several phone calls the to TMAAT Corporate Office and that's is when I finally got a response - they then refunded me the cost of the move, but that alone did not cover for all damage, and at this same time they had responded to the the BBB stating "Damages have been repaired by a professional vendor. While the affected areas may not appear in pristine condition, I can assure you that all necessary repairs have been thoroughly completed." This statement is absolutely false, untrue and an outfight lie. At this point, they hadn't reached back out to me after weeks of calling, emailing, leaving texts / voicemails. Not a single vendor has ever laid eyes on the couches to this day and they are claiming they have been repaired to the best of their ability. If that doesn't tell you enough about the ethics of this company, I don't know what will. I reported this to the Corporate Office and they then turned around said the $1349.50 refund was sufficient to cover stains and rips on two couches (which are valued beyond $7K) and also covers the cost of repairing two different homes hardwoods floors based on their vendor quotes. After they had just claimed all repairs had been thoroughly completed.. A lie. The front this company puts on is insane. Lol I legitimately don't understand how they are okay with being so unjust and untruthful as a business. It takes a specific type of person to take part in that, Adriana & Enrique. This review doesn't even cover half of what has happened. There's a reason there are so many similar experiences involving damage, theft, and negligence on the company's end. There are so many other well intentioned moving companies to go with, so save yourself the time, energy, money and most importantly vote with your dollar and support a company with integrity and at the minimum, with the ability to handle your belonging appropriately and safely.

We booked Two Men and a Truck for our move which occurred on Nov 27. Two days after the move, while we were unpacking, we noticed a few things:

1. A gift we received that was in an unopened delivery box was missing.

2. Our adjustable dumbbell weight set was missing.

3. And even more disturbing, we began receiving fraud alerts from the bank of one of our credit cards. It turns out the cards we had left in one of the drawers of our dresser were missing. This included 3 credit cards and a HSA card.

We called Two Men and a Truck immediately to report these things. The same day, we received a message from Kavin at the company to tell us the weights were found, and thankfully those were returned to us.

As far as the missing delivery box that contained our gift, the company started a claim for the loss. We did pay for the supplemental insurance for loss and damage and made the claim within the time period they required. I made several follow-up phone calls to check the status, always being given the response "we will check with our claims department and will get back to you." Well it's coming up to 6 weeks since the move, and they have yet to credit me the amount for the gift, despite sending me a message on Dec 14 that the funds for the gift would be credited to my account. I still check with them daily, and they still give me a response of "I will check on it and get back to you."

And as far as the stolen cards are concerned, the company washed their hands of that. They told us there is nothing they could do since there's no proof it was their guys who did it. But we know for a fact it was. It was only the 4 of us there that entire day (my partner and I and the 2 movers). We filed a police report and the detective has been trying to establish contact with Enrique at the company, but that has not been successful. During conversations with the detective, he indicated to us that, in his experience, Two Men and a Truck tends to hire movers with prior convictions.

In the response Two Men and a Truck provided to my original post, they claim that a refund for the missing gift was issued. This is false, and I have the screenshots of my account statement to prove it, which I've posted here. While they did issue a refund for the gift in the amount of $110, which posted on Dec 11, 2023, they rebilled for $110 on Jan 4, 2024! You can imagine my shock when I saw this. I called them first thing in the morning on Jan 5 for an explanation. After much back and forth with Maria, she told me that she was able to get ahold of a manager who would re-issue the refund. I was assured that I would receive an email confirmation of this and the credit would be in my account within 2 - 3 business days. As you can probably guess....no email, no credit to my account.

I've read the responses the company has provided to others' bad experiences, and the theme is very apparent. They hold zero accountability for their actions. The customer service (if you can even call it that) is poor at best, even for the simplest things.

I hired TMAAT to pack and move me locally. I would give them a NO STAR if Yelp allowed that rating. I spent a lot of money on the service and packing materials. What I ended up with were incompetent packers, movers, and customer service. I was present when 1 of the packers dropped a box off of the dolly!!
Items were damaged, soiled, and broken. The company continues to refuse to reimburse for damages despite the fact that this was covered, by contract. The manager never responded to emails and requests to be called. The customer "satisfaction" representative received numerous photographs and documentation including receipts for out of pocket expenses.
It's been well over a month (packed 4/23, moved 4/24) with NO REIMBURSEMENT for out of pocket expenses including handyman repairs, cleaning services, or replacement of items.
Do NOT hire this company. They over promise and under deliver. Their responses are boilerplate and they do not act in good faith.
