      Book a truck online to pick up a truck for Sac State move-in. I called another location closer to our storage to do a one-way rental and never got a callback. When I booked the truck, I had the option of virtual check-out or in-person. I choose in-person, but when I got there they switched it to virtual and I waited in line for 30+ minutes for nothing.

      The truck was clean and was able to do what we needed it to do.

      Virtual check-in was easy, they emailed me a receipt and I was on my way.

      I made a reservation for earlier today at the U-Haul at 2738 65th St, Sacramento, CA 95817. When I went in to pick up the van I had reserved, the young man at the counter (who for some reason was wearing mirror sunglasses as he sat indoors behind the counter) told me that I could not use my debit card (which also function as a visa card) to rent the vehicle, and that I could only use a major credit card. The U-Haul website that I used to make my reservation clearly states that you need either a credit card OR a debit card for a rental.

      Apparently this U-Haul location makes its own policy.

      I was upset, but I did not argue. I picked up my bank card and license and said "bye," and walked out. I did say it somewhat loudly, but I did not yell and that was the only word that came out of my mouth. But I guess that was enough for the U-Haul employees to decide that I'm a "Karen," because I heard someone else behind the counter say "take her out of the system. She's not allowed to rent here." I thought that was pretty funny, since you couldn't pay me to give that location any business ever again..

      Went in for boxes and was not provided with the best customer service. The surrounding grounds and parking lot was disgusting and there is homeless people sleeping on the property. Even saw what looked like some kids climbing a power line to throw shoes on it. I think thats how you let people know you sell drugs at a location. Gotta love Sacramento.

      Do NOT Goto this uhaul at all... I went here to purchase a box and these people are too rude from the beginning. I had my girlfriend go inside to purchase a box and I was waiting outside in the truck and they wanted me to park somewhere else ... all we were wanting was a simple box and these guys turn it into something else (they'll call the cops on you

      Quincy made our experience go from 0 to 5 stars with U HAUL. We had a bad experience with the U HAUL on Mills Station Rd. We accidentally had put the U HAUL lock on backwards we weren't given any instruction from Mills station when we called for help the only help they offered was to charge us $150 & send a tow truck to cut the lock. We called the 65th location & she shared that she wasn't sure about how to fix the lock but if we could bring the U HAUL she would try to help us. We brought it to the 65th location & she spent 20 mins helping us open the lock backwards. This was an above and beyond experience for us. We went from never going to use these services again to changing our mind. Will be using 65th location from now on. Thanks again Quincy!

      This review has two sections one will be my experience for this location. The other will give u-haul nubbies a heads up. This is my opinion based on a lot of experience with u-haul.

      Section one...
      Everyone I have dealt with at this location knows how to do thier job. They really try to make it as painless as possible! I like this location and I use them often. It's not the most bubbly customer service, but it is always friendly. U-haul the company, makes thier job much harder.
      This location is tiny!
      You can fill up a tank of propane for less than half the price of swapping one!

      Pro tip...the only way to get here is heading south on 65th st. (For example from 50 or Folsom Blvd) also, take the second entrence to pull in. Also also. If you are planning on leaving your car to grab a truck for a few hours. Park at target, cause thier lot is tiny!

      Section two...
      It takes about $15 per 1/8th of a tank to refill it.
      (10' and up)
      Also, you pay for miles.
      Also, you pay for insurance.
      Also, you pay for cleaning. (If you don't clean it)
      Don't expect to go rent a $19.95 truck...for $19.95!
      Thats why I say that u-haul makes the guys at the stores jobs hard...I have seen people freaking out that it's going to be 100 bucks to rent a $20 truck.
      Also, the app that the company, really tries to make the customer use, is kinda junk..imo..I always try to deal with the Reps as much as possible.
      You need a DL, you need 2 phone numbers that they can verify, you almost, if not, have to, have a cell phone.
      Just a heads up!
      I like this location! They always work with me and they try to make the painful u-haul company experience, less painful!

      Yeah this location is the worst then plays there are absolutely have no regard to let people know that they are not active u-haul place And then the manager wants to run in front of my car and almost get hit by me that's his own d*** fault

      I got on Yelp to share my experience with this U-Haul location, and was not surprised to see that they have a pretty low rating with many comments about bad customer service.

      I swung by this location today to purchase some furniture dollies and noticed when I arrived that they had repainted/remarked their entire entrance process. A quick word about that ... they now have you entering at the first entrance instead of the second which means you are breaking and turning right in front of traffic exiting Hwy-50 off ramp. It does not take a genius to see that is a problem waiting to happen.

      Anyway, I quickly parked to run in and grab the dollies, but before I even barely exited my car one of the workers ran out and started yelling at me to not block the "customers." Wait, what? Am I not a customer? But, seriously, yell at me? So, I turned my car around amidst all their cones and other cars parked randomly. When I saw the "customers" I was blocking walking to their car, I apologized but they said it wasn't a problem at all and they would have been able to back up easily so they didn't understand why I was BEING YELLED AT!

      Finally, I went inside and purchased my dollies, avoiding the obnoxious yeller and another worker there who simply seemed confused (there were three which is important in a minute), and was helped by someone who was very professional and kind.

      As I was leaving to collect my 3 dollies, someone suggested I "make several trips in order to get them to my car if needed" ... not to be confused with the two workers standing around DOING NOTHING!

      One of the bags wrapped around one of the dollies had something stuffed in it, which I saw when I carried it to my car and it fell out at my feet. I took the time to take it back in to them, tried waiting for the nice person but they were busy "actually helping customers." So I tossed it on the desk of the yeller and told him it was in one of the bags ... to only be yelled at again asking me why I threw it at him. No, sir, had i thrown it I would have aimed at something other than your desk top.

      Unfortunately, every time, without fail, that I go to this location they are so lazy and unhelpful. But, not until today was I actually verbally accosted by one of the people working there.

      Was there at open to pick up a reserved truck, all the computers of their reservation system went down. The workers at the desk were nice, so they get my one star, but they didn't know how to handle it and spent most of the time I was in there with the manager on speakerphone. After an hour they broke the news that no one would get a truck today.

      I said I understood and asked to get a credit since I had a reservation which stated that if they didn't they didn't have a truck for me I would be credited $50. The manager, I think his name was Robert, refused because "technically it's not our fault." He was being super aggressive about it I don't think he knew he was on speaker. He said that if he gave me a credit he'd have to give everyone else there one too, which seems like yes exactly what should happen.

      Hard to believe they wouldn't have a backup plan for when the super old computers go down, but that's what's up.
