U S Alloys

I went to US Alloys to exchange two propane tanks. This is a small business that provides good value for the dollar. As the owner, Scott Day, noted, he fills the tanks to their fullest -- unlike the chain hardware stores. So while you may pay a few more dollars per tank, you're getting more propane for your money. It's also good to support a small business -- and say hi to Scott's dogs.

Scott is a unique individual in the "Industrial Business" of welding supplies. He has always provided sage advice and solutions for challenges I have presented him. As I'm a novice and home repair/ maintenance welder. When ever I have questions or needs. Scott has taken his time to "listen" to the task at hand, then suggested products and procedures available Taking into consideration to economics and my skill sets. He has always been friendly, not talking down like other welding supply houses, due to my "non-professional" welding status. Although I don't have need for a massive amounts of supplies, Scott will have my patronage for supplies from BBQ propane, arc/mig gasses electrodes, gauges / expendable items, and advice. I heartily recommend US Alloys, and Scott Day. Right off freeway, in Walnut Creek.

Glad I found this place a couple years ago. I've been using them for all my welding gas needs even though I have to drive in from San Francisco for pick up.

I run a shop and it is definitely worth getting gas from a local supplier. We tried the other big guys and their prices and policies were insane. I will continue to support US alloys and get our gases from here.

I had a fantastic experience with this amazing small business. I am a local small business owner and I needed to buy helium with no idea where to start. Scott was so kind and answered my questions with so much patience. We came in and got one helium tank to purchase and one helium tank to rent and the customer service was above anything I could ask.

Great place to get propane for home BBQ use. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

Just went there to pick up some 75/25. Was really easy. I was welcomed by the store dog. They have a small stock of consumables and hoods in their showroom. They have been in that location for as long as I can remember. Good to support local businesses when you can.

These guys are great. They supply the beer and wine gas for my restaurant. They are always helpful and have even made themselves available so I could get gas right before Thanksgiving. Easy to work with, great prices, and really friendly people! Highly recommended!

I searched propane and found great reviews for US Alloys. The last time I needed to fill a tank was a few years ago, and my last place is now paved over as a parking lot.

Scott Day is the owner of the business and a great guy to chat with. The propane tank exchange was easy. The reviews mentioned Soda Stream refill bottles and I asked Scott about the large bottles of carbon dioxide that usually aren't available, but Scott had one and at great price.

The business card mentioned helium and balloons were available. What could be better? I'm coming back.

I just had my first visit to U S Alloys to get propane for 3 of my BBQ tanks. This was SO easy! I traded my tanks in and within minutes I got 3 filled tanks - all in excellent shape.
Scott also noticed that one of my tanks was more than half full, so rather than charge me for another tank, he gave it back to me to fill up at another time.
This is an honest, responsive and efficient company and I recommend them highly.
