Good location for going to the medical centers nearby. It's a good price for San Francisco standards. Everything is automated but they have staff on sight for payments or anything else that's needed.
Some of the parking spots are a little small but it's a good garage overall.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Eric S.San Francisco, CA021May 9, 2022
The valets are rude and deceitful.
My parking placard was clearly on the dashboard of the car when I parked that morning. After having to stay overnight, I retrieved my car just before closing the next day.
There was no price guide visible to understand their pricing structure.
The valet charged me $60 for overnight. As the valet closed up, he spun the podium around showing the hidden price sign. Also showing the fact that I shouldn't have been charged more than $7 because of the placard. When I pointed this out he replied "too late now, call my manager". After I submitted my complaint, a picture of the placard and a paid cash receipt I was told they wouldn't refund due to not showing the placard to the valet.
Tell me, how do I show a placard that is in the car to a valet before the car is returned? When I showed the placard upon return, again nothing but bad customer service, lazy employees and complicit admin.
Manager Andy Herrera quickly passed the buck blaming the decision on his boss Joe Braucher.
Is this really the intention of UCSF Mt. Zion administration? To support the unscrupulous practice of overcharging and denying responsibility? Sad day for a simple service. Sad job by those in charge.
A disservice to the entire institution.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 16, 2021
I never thought I'd ever rate a parking garage at all, and to give it a 5, much less a San Francisco garage! (it's really a 4 but I'll be generous). This review is based on my experience only, I was blessed to find the very first parking place on the 1st floor (a rarity), I don't know what the other floors were like but there seemed to be ample parking, which is nice for a SF garage and definitely less stressful. I like this garage for the ease of getting in and out. There are actually 2 UCSF parking lots, one is clearly marked for staff and employees of UCSF only, and the second one is the public one, you can't miss it. I saw several staff members maintaining things, the ticket machines were modern and clean, and information signs were clearly visible. I like the fact that there is a live attendant at a real pay station and real people working there, it seems more secure that way. The only negative is that it's $5/hour, but hey it's SF and that seems to be pretty good for SF especially in light of the fact that it's very hard to find street parking.
