The marketing of this hot chocolate place in Bryant Park is really cute, but I thought the flavor was a pretty standard hot chocolate taste that's sugary. The presentation of the drink is great because they include whip and marshmallows, but as other reviewers said, they use almond milk which thins it out significantly if you prefer a richer hot chocolate.

Overall, it was something warm to hold while walking around the market, but for the price at $7 for just the most basic offering they have on their menu, compared to other hot chocolates which were in the $4 at the market, its up to you whether you think it's worth the upcharge!

The original hot chocolate was so warm and cozy, perfect for the cold weather in New York. There wasn't too much whipped cream which was nice, and the ratio between the sprinkles and whipped cream was balanced.

This is my second favorite hot chocolate pop up kiosk at the union square holiday market!!. The thing That I love about them is that not only do they have awesome hot chocolate but the artistry that comes with it!. They have chocolate wrenches and different shapes which I find pretty cool and whipped cream on top!. Perfecto!. I didn't even know they put annis in it!.

One of the hot chocolate shops in the bryant park winter village. Defs aesthetic but flavor is sub-par. I would say to pass on their classic hot chocolate "the intern."

The hot chocolate was watered down. Definitely not worth the $10. Got the intern with the extra piece of chocolate added, and it still didn't taste good.

By far the best hot chocolate at the Union Square Holiday Market, and in all of NYC honestly. It is super hot so be careful on those first few sips because the whipped cream is very misleading! Haha. Great taste, super rich but still smooth to drink. "The Intern" is the best one for the price point. 10/10 TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!!

I've tried probably every hot chocolate in Bryant Park Winter Village and Union Square Holiday Market and this was my least favorite. It's aesthetic, but overhyped. The actual hot chocolate drink tastes like a standard hot chocolate you can make from a packet at home. The hype probably comes from them torching the marshmallow, but it's lightly torched so you don't get the nice char flavor. While other hot chocolate places at the Christmas markets have homemade marshmallows, this one uses Kraft Jet-Puffed Jumbo Marshmallows.

The reason this absolutely deserves 1 star is because there were 2 ladies making the hot chocolate today (12/20/22, 1 pm @ Union Square Holiday Market) that definitely were not following health protocol. One lady was at the register taking orders and the other lady was making the hot chocolate. The lady making hot chocolate was doing something on the phone with gloves on. She then gave the phone to the lady at the register who was typing something on that same phone with the same gloves on that she had been using to take money. Then she gave it back to the lady making hot chocolate. This lady then proceeded to grab marshmallows and put them in 6 cups of hot chocolate (one being mine). Not once did she change her gloves. You should change your gloves after touching cash and phones before touching other peoples' food. This made me assume she hadn't changed her gloves once since the beginning of her shift and imagining what else she's touched. I still drank it because I've put worse things in my mouth lol but it still wasn't worth it.

Skip this. No Chewing Allowed is miles better with high quality Parisian hot chocolate. It's even cheaper too.

If I can give zero stars I would, this really is one of those places. There are at least 5 hot chocolate places in Bryant park which serve delicious stuff at a better price too....at least 2,3 dollars difference.

I ordered the Intern yesterday, it was supposed to come with sprinkles, and a bolt carved out of chocolate, as the menu suggests but what I got was a small chocolate piece stuck on the top, when I asked about it the person at the counter just stared at me. So that was the customer service experience for a subpar hot chocolate. Save your money and go to other stores in the park, or if you have time and you are hot chocolate addict like me, definitely do not miss Dominique ansel bakery in Soho!

I think I was more intrigued by "Chocolate" in their business sign more than anything else when I noticed these guys at the Union Square Holiday Market. So naturally for me, I wanted in. In a glance, I knew this wasn't the place to load up on Truffles when I saw Chocolate pieces designed into nuts and bolts, screwdrivers, pliers, garden shears, etc. While their Chocolate designs are indeed creative, they were ridiculously expensive and skipped them for a small $10 baggie of semisweet Chocolate pieces.

In my mind, any Chocolatier- almost always, carries Hot Chocolate or Hot Cocoa- so I was hyped! Their Hot Cocoa menu caught my attention. Ordered "The Intern"- minus marshmallow I picked out- made with Nutella, a dash of Anise and fresh Whip. (Really different- but went ahead regardless). One of my biggest negatives though would be their Hot Cocoa made with Almond Milk. And I totally get it- in a time where some folks are lactose-intolerant, Almond Milk is a great alternative. But why in the world wouldn't you also offer Whole Milk or Cream? Heck...even 1% milk if that's what you're into? For $10, it was weak and wasn't worth it.

I'll be honest, I'm rarely one to complain about prices for real good Chocolate anything- if it's really worth it. For instance, I can pay $5, $6, maybe pushing $7 for a real damn good Hot Chocolate or Cocoa... but $10? Get the f*ck outta here! I like all the ingredients in my Hot Cocoa... separately- but really, I wasn't a fan! I think United Chocolate is bringing a cool idea but I don't think they're ahead of the curve for me.

Unfortunately, really subpar hot chocolate after waiting in a long line at Union Square Holiday Market. $10 for the Intern was 100% not worth it - tasted like diluted, store mix hot chocolate.
