Q:
Which is the best United Club Lounge at San Francisco International Airport?
A:
It's a matter of taste. The old club in the F Rotunda used to be a great club when it opened. Now it is outdated. That said, the newer club in E is smaller and brighter. Neither compares to LAX or EWR or the Polaris Lounge or the SFO Sky Club. I… more

I have 2 club passes. Can I bring my mom with me?
A:
Anyone can use your passes, not just you, so yes. During crowded times they do put on capacity controls though, which can mean they don't accept passes at all. Refer to the rules that come with the passes.

This is one of the better United lounges that we've been to. Located in Terminal 3 at SFO, this lounge can be accessed if you're a United Club member or if you have club passes (please note: if the lounge is too crowded, they won't allow those with a club pass in until it gets less crowded).
The food was decent and it was refilled often. My favorite thing was the nacho bar (and so was my toddler's). There were literally outlets accessible everywhere which is helpful to ensure that you have a full battery before you get on the plane. Plates were constantly picked up and it was an overall clean, well kept lounge. The bathrooms were large and also had changing tables which is always appreciated.
I wanted to give one extra star for how friendly and accommodating the staff were to us, especially with our small children. They helped them get their energy out before the long haul flight! One staff member even walked my toddler to the snack bar and helped her get what she wanted. They entertained my infant as well and gave him lots of smiles and waves.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 9, 2024
Almost posted this to the wrong location.
This is for the one in F Terminal.
Got to enjoy a perk for the 1st time, coming here before a flight for my annual vacation. I didn't spend enough $ on my metal card so I was not able to get a pass for my travel companion to enter their club... $50 well spent elsewhere.
So in seeking my TSA pre check materials, I found two valid comped annual passes tied to another credit card to gain entry here.
Getting through TSA more than hour before our flight's boarding time, we made our way to the F Terminal club. Being my 1st time using these passes, I was confused about what other documents besides my driver's license to gain entry. With the help of the two counter staff, we gained entry. Walking through the lobby area, we found an empty two top table just to the right as we faced the window facing the tarmac. I walked to the right and found some work pods along the right wall and a shower room while walking around to the restroom. There are two food stations with the one to the left having a larger food selection (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=EqWvSAsckjIfv7vROm-dvQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) but the right one is next to the bar https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=j4_O2huc-1qUxzKHY-E3eQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q().
We spent about an hour here as a friend who works here just finished his work shift. I enjoyed a sandwich along with chips, guacamole, and salsa with a portion of pasta salad. I went to the left to get a small bowl of cheesy tomato soup. Besides the bar, there is a soda dispensing machine at the left station.
It's a nice lounge and don't know the food selections during the different hours. It's nice but the metal card place is just a bit nicer.Helpful 9Thanks 4Love this 10Oh no 1 - May 21, 2024
REMEMBER TO REVIEW YOUR LOCATION! This is the review for F gates at the Rotunda! We enjoy this lounge. Very friendly employees- very professional and pleasant despite the large amount of customers. The food selections were decent with hogie sandwiches and wraps, a pasta dish, rice noodles, and a large selection of beverages and deserts . I'm always here early so I e never tried a cocktail at the posh-looking bar but I'm sure the price is right!! Plenty of seating and if you continue all the way around the back corner past the bar, there are a large number of working spaces and perhaps the most phone chargers you'll find anywhere. UAL is the preferred airline of our family and the Club doesn't disappoint. (4 stars because more than three of the ladies toilets were out of service which is a big "no-no" cause women gots to go!) Hugs tho!

This is my preferred of the three lounges. I think it's the largest so one is more likely to get a seat at this one. I was traveling over the December holiday so the lounge was expectedly full.
I am sad to read of the customer service from others. I found everyone from check in to bar to support around very warm, welcoming and helpful. It was a stressful season so I truly appreciated their kindness. The food is okay. I was able to make nachos from what was offered and that worked out well and satisfied for the time. I do wish there were more charging pods at the bar, but as the night got later I found a space to plug in so it was alright.
I look forward to trying Polaris next time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 26, 2023
While this United Club used to be the flagship location and the gold standard for all domestic United Clubs, it has fallen far behind the newer United Clubs at EWR and ORD. Out of the three United lounges at SFO, this location by the F gates (after the moving walkway) has the most seating and by far the most generous operating hours. Despite its many shortcomings, It's still a viable choice for Star Alliance Gold passengers, at least by domestic lounge standards.
United has long since done away with paper passes, and now only a quick scan of a boarding pass is required for people with SA or UC memberships (or a scan of a day pass bar code + boarding pass for everyone else). The front desk still sells single-use passes for the astronomical asking price of 56 USD if you prefer to pay as you go. Like all other United Clubs, day pass holders may be turned away when lounge is near capacity. Peak meal periods from 11 AM - 1 PM and 5 PM - 7 PM seem to be the most crowded times.
The food spread is quite disappointing, but the most notable thing missing is shower rooms, which even all the newer non-Polaris clubs seem to have. The power outlets, while abundant, are also visibly dated, lacking USB ports. The coffee machine across the main buffet area seems to be indefinitely impaired, leaving the espresso machine by the bar as the only other way to get lattes and espressos unless you want basic carafe coffee, which can be found by the juice dispensers in the lobby. If you're here to try to catch a quick nap, bring noise-isolation because there are no nap rooms, although the secluded areas to the immediate right of the lobby have a bunch of cubicles which most people still have no idea exist. Seating here during off-peak hours is usually available unless there is a massive cancellation or delay.
I've only been here for breakfast and lunch, but neither were worth the cash price for entry. Breakfast is hard to screw up and definitely had the better spread: scrambled eggs, sausage patties, tiny tiny bagels that don't fit in the toaster, salsa, guacamole, black beans, sour cream, a mixed berry salad, two types of yogurt, dry granola, and a tray of soggy uncooked cold oats topped with banana slices and chocolate shavings. I really enjoyed the grapefruit slices, which most people were happy to ignore.
This location tends to have a lot of "DIY bar" type of setups, e.g. yogurt bar, breakfast burrito bar, pre-Superbowl rice noodle bar, nacho bar, etc. The shrink-wrapped apples and bananas seem to be available all day, although some of the apples are extremely bruised. Cereal dispensers and packets of instant Quaker can be found just around the corner. If you like collecting mint-condition Hemisphere magazines with unblemished Sudoku puzzles, you can eat your heart out here.
Lunch at best will be a mixed greens salad bar, wraps or sandwiches, and tomato soup. At worst, there will be some weird exotic concoctions made with ground beef or chicken. The cookies and brownies are pretty standard, and the cheese and grape spread is more for decoration than for eating.
The ladies clearing the tables here are very efficient and make rounds frequently. Food is also refreshed fairly frequently once depleted. My biggest complaint about the food besides the lack of variety is the large round cast iron pans used for the hot foods: the massive heavy lids are not attached to the pans underneath, and there is nowhere to put them when uncovering the food.
The decor and seating, while dated, still have a certain old-timey charm that puts it a step above the other two clubs. The biggest appeal, of course, is the ceiling-height glass windows that face the tarmac. While diehard planespotters will probably prefer one of the two observations decks here at SFO, the view is still pretty great for people who like window seating.
The restroom stalls each have full-length tiled walls and a wooden door with slats, but otherwise nothing remarkable. The restrooms each have two exits on opposite sides of the lounge, so if you wanted to avoid the bar area you could take a shortcut by walking through here.
Next to the departures board in the lobby is a service desk with United ticketing agents, which are handy if you need in-person assistance with rebooking. There are occasional loudspeaker announcements for United delays, but generally on-time departures will not be announced.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 496021621Dec 3, 2023Updated review
i normally prefer the smaller E Gate Club but found myself at this location near the Rotundra as I was departing from one of the Gates in this area. I have come to this location many times over the years and it was nice to see the recent refresh. Everything else has remained status quo regarding food and service. As several had mentioned it would have been nice if they refreshed the seat cushions as they are starting to show wear.

Oof this place was rough at 9pm. Came to this lounge as it was open later than E lounge.
Coke freestyle had 4 things available but no cups (stole a coffee cup).
Food didn't look too great except for dessert and a cookie.
A lot of the couch/bench seats had huge rips.
A lot of the outlets were taped over assumedly for being broken or some other maintenance.
Zero outlets at the bar area.
The best thing about it were the very nice bartenders and the robot that was moving bus tubs around.
Will prob go to E lounge or Centurion in the future if I fly UA. This lounge is in desperate need of a makeover. Be cool if they used some of that $14B Q2 revenue on sprucing it up but don't hold your breath.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 3212810Sep 2, 2023
It's our stop before heading to our regular flight to Orlando in the morning. As a complementary service attend your needs. Good service, food variety just ok.
Clean bathrooms, WiFi and lots of places to relax.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bill B.Pasadena, CA022Jul 31, 2024
Beyond awful. The most limited food selection and worst quality of any UC. Stale bread, choice of 2 sorry looking sandwiches, cold miso soup with hard, dry rice noodles. No ice in the single soda fountain. And the sodas/drinks are way off. Compared to other UCs the SFO location should be embarrassed.
