Urban Scout - San Francisco

Who doesn't love another nursery being added to the city?! Urban Scout is nestled in quiet Noe Valley, right across the street from Saru sushi (perfect for post sushi strolls).

This nursery has a lot of cactus which I love because not many nurseries have their level of variety. They have some really tall cactus and I'll definitely visit them when the time comes to get a cactus.

They offer reporting services and that's what I came for. I removed a star because my pothos had a lot of gnats after the repotting :(

Awesome shop to pick up a new plant and your plant accessories.

Very expensive and deceptive pricing. They use a sneaky way to charge you for the plant and the vase. The price is on the vase with the succulent in it but there is also a separate price on the plant. So the $8 price on the unit is actually $16. They did this to my 11yo. Very dishonest.

Obsessed. I just discovered Urban Scout last week and wish I'd found it sooner! A month or so ago, a friend told me about the store, so I wandered in on Sunday of this week, then again on Monday (as in the next day), and then again on Wednesday! I could not get enough of this green, urban wonderland.

The first day I went, the person working in the store was super helpful and knowledgable about the varieties of plants and what would work best for my space/light.

The following day, I met the owner, who is a Noe Valley resident, a creative being, and a lovely human. He was also there in the store on my third visit. When I told him some of my plant goals, he had ideas and supplies to make some of them come true, and for the others, he told me he'll keep those in mind while he is sourcing/buying in the future. In addition to owning this store, he is an interior designer, and you can see his design mind at work when you talk to him about how you want to green up your space.

I love the high quality of plants and pots in this store. I kept gasping at how beautiful everything was. And the prices are quite reasonable (which is so dangerous: "Just one more thing!"). Now I'm eyeing all my spaces to see if I can squeeze more plants in!

Was walking around Noe Valley and stumbled upon this small gem. All the greenery and plants hanging by the window caught our attention so we decided to go in to check it out.

It's such a great shop with a variety of plants in varying sizes too. They also have some planters, clothes, and pins available. The workers were super helpful and knowledgeable in helping us find the perfect starter plant and we ended up going with a baby one.

Definitely recommend checking them out if you're new to plants or if you're looking to add to your collection. Will definitely come back when we're ready for the next one!

Urban Scout is super cute. I've picked up 3 plants so far from Urban Scout (ZZ plant, snake plant, and a dracaena compacta), each in great condition and still doing well. Every time I visit, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They answer all questions I have, and are able to make recommendations based on my described home conditions and experience. They also have a great selection of planters and mugs. I hope to return soon to pick up a cactus!

Stumbled upon Urban Scout when I was walking around Noe Valley. Really cute spot with a variety of amazing house plants.

I picked up a Silver Squill while I was there. Definitely worth checking out this store!

Very cute and cozy plant store that is a nice addition to Noe. I stopped in yesterday and Santiago gave me some wonderful advice on succulents. I have several old ones and he helped me figure out that I am probably overwatering them. Love how generous he was with him time and expertise!

This plant shop is really cute and has a variety of plants, the customer service is not great. I wasn't greeted and I had to walk up to the sales person for help. When I asked for a different pots I was just told to get any pot that was around. It would be nice if there were empty pots because I had to take plants out of different pots to see which would be the best fit for the plant I was getting. The cashier was nice to put tissue and a ribbon for the gift I purchased.

Stumbled upon this lovely plant shop. I've been to others around SF but something about this one was so much more my "I'm not good with plants/okay, I tend to kill them/I like plants" kinda place. I bought some plants somewhere else after like an hour convo and they were dead within 3 weeks. This place i trust. The woman working there was helpful, reassuring in a not patronizing way and had tons of knowledge. Plus. I didn't buy candles. The truth is that the plants that I did but were a gift, so they'll no doubt live. I might be back for candles. And. Maybe a very tiny cute climbing hearts or climbing turtles plant, just cuz they were so darn cute!

This place is sooo cute and the folks there are very helpful. Came to get a number of plants as gifts and they walked me through care, helped me mix and match pots, and then gift bagged each of the plants! They were also really kind to my 3 year old daughter, which made me shopping far less stressful. They had all sorts of plants in many sizes and scout plants if they don't have the one you're looking for. Highly recommend this place!
