10/10. Exemplary service. Passionate marine professionals. Trustworthy and highest level of integrity. Treated my boat as if it belonged to them.
Allow me to share my overwhelming positive experience in the last few months at Vallejo Marine Craft.
I had a boat shipped overland to Vallejo Marine Craft from Mississippi. This required months of planning and scheduling. This was a complex, time-sensitive operation since I was not yet living in the local area. I relied 100% on Vallejo Marine Craft to support this endeavor and receive my boat once it arrived.
The process was exceedingly well orchestrated by the team at Vallejo Marine Craft. In fact, they supported me and advocated for me when the shipping company fell short on their promises. Vallejo Marine Craft helped me overcome challenges with the shipping company and saw me through an arduous process.
In addition to orchestrating a successful boat delivery, the team at Vallejo Marine Craft were champions of efficiency and quality while commissioning my boat. I have a unique boat that has an unconventional sail rig, which the team embraced and accommodated. I could not have asked for more.
I also trusted the team at Vallejo Marine Craft with additional repairs and upgrades to my boat since I have been in the local area. At every turn, the team has been available and responsive. Indeed, I regularly receive after hours emails, texts and phone calls regarding the progress on my boat and the plan for the future. In addition, I receive advice about how to handle the local weather conditions and tides for ideal ingress and egress to the yard.
Simply put, you could not ask for anything more from a boatyard. The owner of the yard is hands-on in every respect. An avid and accomplished mariner himself, you can tell he truly cares about the customer experience. On multiple occasions, he has extended professional curtesies and mariner-in-need support to me and my vessel. The yard Foreman is a joy to work with. Her passion for boats and her commanding leadership set the tone for the entire operation.
These are people worthy of your beloved vessel.
I give the team at Vallejo Marine Craft my highest recommendation.

Kerry, Tammie and Jessie are simply the A+ Team. Sailed my boat in from Brisbane for a DIY bottom paint and they were extremely helpful, and whole project had the precision of Swiss timing. Extremely fair pricing and a great team. Thank you so much for all the help and guidance.

We're berthed in Brooklyn Basin, Oakland with a 30 ft sloop. It had been a while since our last haul out and we were never going back to Svendsens in Richmond and decided to cruise farther north to Vallejo to try out Vallejo Marine Craft (from some research and good advice from others in our area). They have new ownership and are doing things the right way these days.
Mary is fabulous to work with and is very hands on with the whole process. She is extremely responsive and makes it apparent that she is always available for advice and direction with any logistics surrounding the process. I have never experienced such personalized service from a boat yard before.
Kerry is a wealth of knowledge and is always available for some more hands-on assistance in the yard. He knows just about everything there is to know about boats and usually has the answer (mechanical stuff goes to Jimmy, and whenever you smell the sweet cigar smell in the shop, you know Gregory is around shopping anything you could possibly need).
Between the two of them, we felt confident and comfortable with the work on our boat (bottom job, minor blister repairs, rudder rebuild, sail drive servicing, prop replacement, etc.)
COMMUNICATION IS KEY - and these guys have it down to a science.
Bottom line : Mary and Kerry (& team) actually made this experience enjoyable. As DIYer's, what originally was to be a 4/5 day simple bottom job turned into 25 days on the hard, and you know what - glad it all happened HERE and not the other, numerous boat yards in the Bay Area. What could have been a nightmare really became a PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW A BOAT YARD SHOULD OPERATE.
If you want any job done right, at a solid price, with a smile on your face as you sign the final bill, bring your boat to Vallejo Marine Craft.
Thank you guys for everything. We will be coming back for years to come. Keep up the good work.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lorrie P.Benicia, CA337250Nov 22, 2020
My Catalina 320 had not been hauled for 8 years.
The packing box was leaking pretty bad so I decided to put a drip less shaft in and have the bottom painted. Mary at the new Vallejo Marine Craft was able to haul my boat quickly even though they were very busy. Once the boat was out they found the cutlass bearing needed replacing and a few other problems. Every step of the way I was informed and sent photos of what was going on and given options. I was very happy with the work Vallejo Marine Craft did.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Drew W.Kensington, CA1233Nov 14, 2020Updated review
Under new ownership - now called Vallejo Marine Craft. Mary and her team did a great bottom paint job on my Ranger 26. Clear, honest, helpful communication and expert service. Highly recommended!

They recently took over this boatyard from previous owners (Vallejo Boatworks) and provide friendly, positive, informative and expert service. As a first time boat owner I was relieved and grateful for clear communication and reasonable rates.
Located right at the Vallejo Marina, this was a convenient and easy way to take care of my sailboat. I'll be back again! - Shana A.Kihei, HI051May 22, 2021
We were so happy to find this marina to do work on our 34' Catalina.
They were absolutely exceptional in their customer service, communication and workmanship. Mary always kept us informed about the status of our repairs. The rest of the staff always seemed available and interested in making our experience with them perfect.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Larry N.Benicia, CA0122Oct 9, 2020
New ownership seems to be on a Mission to re-establish this gem in Vallejo. The office manager Mary was my primary contact, and she brings loads of marine Industry experience to this business. The prices seemed very fair, the job was done on schedule and the work was what I asked for. Call or visit Mary for a quote or to just plan for your next haul out.
