Vancouver Chimney Chief

I would highly recommend Vancouver Chimney Chief for any of your fireplace needs. He was very kind, punctual (even arrived slightly early) and knowledgable. We had a problem with smoke building up when the tenants above us were having a fire. He took the time to explain the problem to me (a new homeowner and landlord who knows nothing about fireplaces). He offered me solutions that were both budget friendly and those that were long term and energy efficient. I really appreciated that he said I could call anytime if I had any questions or concerns about the fireplaces. I think the service was well worth the cost. Definitely will be calling them again next year.

Well, I called this company on Friday afternoon to ask about getting a damper handle and pin installed on my fireplace and have the chimney cleaned. He gave me a positive but unusually vague answer about "sometime next week" and took my information. I waited until Tuesday and heard nothing so I called him back. He said that, "Well...I was going to fit you in at the end of the day after work but...well, I can't really do that for you. I'm too busy."

Really? You're a "Chimney Chief". You advertise "Chimney Cleaning and Sweeping" and "Chimney Repairs and Rebuild" as your first two services on your website.

Clearly you're not "Customer Service Chief". I'm not sure why so many services companies have no concept of service and what that means.

Change the name of your company to "Yeah I'll Do Your Job If And When I Feel Like It Or Maybe Not.".

I had the guys from Vancouver Chimney Chief come out to sweep my chimney and to clean my dryer duct. They arrived right on time, got right to work and could not have been more pleasant. They were very conscious about keeping the place clean and they did a great job. They took the time to talk to me about my dryer vents and to give me some great maintenance tips etc. They also replaced the duct tape with metal tape for no added charge. I would not hesitate recommending them. As an extra, they were totally cool with my various dogs and were very careful to make sure that they weren't scared by the compressor noise and that they didn't scoot out the door.

They do not answer their phone, my house filled with smoke for hours after a cleaning, THE SMELL! and i could not reach anyone! Wesbite says open till 10pm I called for hours, and not a single call back. Too scared to sleep tonite, as I think the fire will start up again....smoke detectors keep going off. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My chimney cap had come off and as a result water was leaking through the drywall even into the basement. It was Friday morning when I called and I didn't expect anyone to come out until Monday, but within 2 hours of my call they completed the repair for a very reasonable price. If I ever have any future chimney issues, I will only be calling the Vancouver Chimney Chief. Their service far exceeded my expectations, and they prices were very reasonable.
