Amazing! Little whimsical action figures in the ice cream tubs and such a cute little selection of candies and treats. Would definitely return here next time I'm in Victoria.

This shop is placed in the heart of Victoria. They have a large collection of teas/candies/cookies for gifting purposes. As it is a touristy place, it is understandable that the entire selection is more Canadian than Victorian. I was looking for something that was locally made but unfortunately they did not have anything. I did end up buying some cookies. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and amazing.
They have a large selection of ice cream/sorbet/gelato flavors. I got their Exotic and Fruits of the forest flavor sorbet. They were a little on the pricey side but they were delicious! I had been walking around a bit and they provided a much needed cold reprieve. There are tables outside where you can sit and enjoy them.
I would recommend it for the delicious flavors!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 28, 2022
Get some YUM! We stopped in here while walking around Victoria at the end of our Alaskan cruise. First they have a ton of great things to buy to take home, maple syrup, candy and things. Stop in for a souvenir for sure, but then treat yourself to a scoop of Maple Pecan Ice Cream, or classic Spumoni. There's also fudge, if frozen treats aren't your thing. We chatted with a woman who was stocking items, she was so kind and welcoming. I would go back just to see the friendly staff and for a scoop. Support local when you travel, skip the corporations and support the local economy! This is one of those places.

Victoria is really set up for tourists and this is the first stop once you get past the harbor area and head toward Chinatown. It has a lot of maple and Canada branded merch and candy and sweets so that you can get some souvenirs before heading back to the ferry to go home if you're a tourist. It also has a reasonably large selection of ice cream, gelatos, and sorbets. I believe they rotate flavors pretty regularly, so you might not see the same flavors each time you go. So, try something different! Yes it is slightly pricey for iced treats but if you're visiting Victoria...why not? Treat yo self! The lady that waited on me was nice and explained which of the items were sorbets and which were gelatos. So, if you're vegan, you can probably go with the sorbets. The items with & without eggs and dairy are labelled but if you have questions, just ask. Anyway, it's a cool treat to get and walk with while you hit all the hot spots around the harbor. The waffle cone wasn't anything special though. I kind of wish there was a bit more vanilla in the cones but it is what it is.

This place was my last stop right before I had to get back to Seattle on the Victoria Clipper! It was the perfect shop to end my trip on a sunny day. What better place to get some sweet treats. I loved sampling all the flavors and the shop was super cute! Very touristy and satisfying for your sweet tooth :)

A-Frame signs are a great marketing tool! Wife, son, and I were fresh off the cruise ship and what do we see a short walk from the taxi drop at the Empress? GELATO! Ok, we must investigate more. What a great selection they have. My go-to is stracciatela and that is what I got in a cone. Average prices in North America for a scoop and decent quality. They also had a good selection of Sorbets. The gelato had good flavor, dense, and the cone was crisp and yummy! The store had an assortment of dudes, gummy candy, and more. Girl behind the counter was very friendly and attentive to us. I only wish we stopped here after our lunch, but no regrets.

Our second day in Victoria and it's just been so hot. What a better way to cool off with some ice cream/Gelato. First off this place is in the super touristy area of the waterfront. Since that's where we are staying it's just logical for us to walk there.
The place is catering to tourists with souvenir treats. They do have a huge selection of Gelato. Some interesting flavors I had never read of like fig and honey and Naniamo.
So customer service was excellent. The young lady behind the counter quickly asked if I wanted a taste test. I hate asking for such things so was happy when she offered. I'm so glad because the fig honey was not for me lol. After three tastes I settled on a scoop of Naniamo and a scoop of coconut. Omg so yummy!
The prices are high, but that location can't be cheap to manage. Overall a satisfying experience that I would do again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2331100490Jun 2, 2014First to Review
My husband were in Victoria for only half a day on a cruise, and decided to wander the downtown area. I would LOVE to come back at night, because it's a beautiful place but just not super exciting in the morning. We did discover this dessert company, though, and it was a great find!
They had a lot of different kinds of gelato, but more importantly for our visit, well over twenty kinds of FUDGE. Who doesn't love fudge? They had regular varieties, like chocolate walnut, some a little bit more unique, like espresso or chocolate peanut butter, and some that seemed distinctly Canadian, like maple and salted maple. It was also on sale-- buy one pound and get a half pound free, which was a great deal. We brought some back for souvenirs/gifts, and ate some right away.
I am by no means a Victoria expert, but from my limited time there I'd definitely recommend making a stop for a quick fudge purchase.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ax C.Boston, MA066837Feb 12, 2016
Like a west coast version of an Atlantic City, NJ candy shop. All your usual sweet tooth mass produced confections plus Canada inspired treats, plus gelato, plus fudge, and even a "gummy zone".
