Do they provide food outside of lunch/dinner time? Say 9/10 pm at night? Much Appreciated for any info!

      A:

If the lounge is open, yes. Probably my favorite lounge at SFO. Has a bar and you can order food on your phone and it is brought to your seat.

This is my second time visiting the Upper Class Lounge and I somehow had a better experience than my first visit a few years ago!

For some of you wondering why the reviews on here are so varied, this lounge welcomes Virgin Atlantic Upper Class passengers for a good chunk of the day, and also flips into a separate lounge open to Priority Pass Members. This review is for the prior!

The lounge has a clean and modern aesthetic, a friendly and professional team, and a great menu of food and drinks! During both visits, my +1 and I were greeted by warm and welcoming service and were well taken care of for our whole stay.

On this recent trip we were served up plenty of bubbly, enjoyed feasting on small and large plates, and ended our visit with some red velvet cake.

Virgin Atlantic is definitely in my top 3 airlines after this experience, and I'm going to go out of my way to fly them across the pond to experience their fun and stylish upper class and lounge going forward!

Thanks so much to the SFO Clubhouse team for the stellar experience!!

      Can't believe I haven't reviewed this. lol

So at one time a great priority pass lounge. But these day go off yourself if you show up with priority pass.

Might as well just show up at the gates of heaven and yell "I'm a HUGE asshole, and I rep pidgins over crows!"

      What a sick move!

      But here wee are ...

So again, PP times of yore were great!

But if you're flying Starlux business I hope you paid with points or can laugh at the absurdity of consciousness like me. Otherwise you're going to be only going to be happy here on that ticket, like you are when you color inside the lines! Good for you champ!!! (Next up typing your shoelaces!)

Now let the adults talk ... the staff here are largely upset you are here breathing asking for nothing. They hate you. Try asking a bartender for what's on the menu...

      I did!

I got this freaking attitude!! I just ordered something off the menu they handed to me! Get wrecked

Whatever. This isn't serious. But it's just a shitty experience. Also food is crap

Gayle and I had a flight to London Heathrow on Virgin Atlantic. We booked 2 reasonably priced round trip "Upper Class" tickets for our journey and arrived at SFO at least 3 hours early so we could enjoy the Clubhouse. This is also a Priority Pass lounge, but in the off hours after we had already boarded out flight.

The Terminal 5 Heathrow Clubhouse is the gold standard, yet this smaller lounge had similar excellent food, drink, reading, showers/bathrooms, and comfort features. Gayle and I settled in nicely and very much enjoyed our stay. As I have myself on an alcohol quota, I also appreciated their nice (and tasty) mocktail selections. Clubhouse service was impeccable.

On our subsequent flight home, Gayle and I were seated next to 2 sets of parents. One couple were travelling with a 4 week old baby and the other had a toddler. Both kids were perfectly behaved and a great reflection on their Mom and Dad. Our experiences at airport lounges often require a little more patience, particularly with screaming toddlers. Our Virgin Clubhouse experience had a modest example of that, which of course is a reflection that some families travel well and some don't make much of an effort to control their kids. We try to roll with it and at as far of a comfortable distance as possible.

Decent lounge in sfo that is on priority pass! Priority pass card holders are allowed to use one side of the lounge. Food ordering is by QR code and there are just simple items, like croissants, salads, tomato soup, and instant ramen. Bathrooms are nice and have showers. Overall a good stop to relax at!

Your PP Priority Pass Lounge is basically useless at this PP Lounge at SFO.

They are located on the 5th floor, immediately on the left after security check.

We arrived on a Friday evening at 9:30PM, hoping to relax and grab a drink before our red eye international flight. Our excitement was quickly left with utter disappointment as we were told "we do not take PP after 7PM". There was no warning about this on the PP app.

Upon calling PP to inquire, I was told that there is a fine print for this Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse stating that "The Lounge can refuse service if the lounge is full"... well, this is pretty much a catch-all phrase to turn down service anytime they want!

What I do not appreciate is their attitude. Upon entering , they looked at us, and by the way - the patrons before and right after us --- "are you guys Priority Pass"? Then proceeded to state, before we even replied "we do not the PP" . There was no explanation (by the way, they were not that full and we saw 4 people exiting), and there's no rhymes or reasons given. My party, the party in front and behind me (total of 8pp) were all turned away and the agents were not friendly at all. Priority Passes are simply frowned upon here. At least that's how we were treated.

All I can say is - don't join PP if you're not willing to serve !

      Updated review

Surprisingly they allowed the 2 of us in with priority pass on a Friday at 12:40pm. They had to first check if there were seats left. The lounge was about 85% full. We grabbed a table and started to order via a QR code on the table. The selection was pretty sad.

      Food options were:

      Plain Croissant with strawberry preserves,
      Chocolate croissant,
      Cream of tomato soup,
Noodle bowl - Which is just, INSTANT NOODLES with a side of kimchi,
Cesar salad and Cesar salad with chicken,
      Apple and lastly, a banana.

Our order arrived 10 minutes later. For drinks, you order at the bar. The instant noodles was just that. I would not have ordered it if I knew it was instant. The chicken Cesar salad was decent and the croissant was not bad. It's small and was fine just to taste.

This is a Priority Pass lounge that's located in Terminal A of SFO, which is walkable from Terminal 1.

Through a QR code on the table, we ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad, Chocolate Croissant, and a banana. Drinks were also served at the bar, although we only went to get coffee and tea on the side. The food came very quickly - by the time I walked up to get my coffee and came back, all of the food had already arrived. The food itself wasn't particularly special and there weren't that many options to choose from, but considering that it's meant to be just a place to chill before the flight, I was fine with it.

The lounge itself was very clean and felt fresh and modern with the chic blue color scheme.

If you're here with Priority Pass, just maintain your expectations that it's a nice place to chill with free food as an add on and you won't be disappointed. Overall good experience.

Not even open yet signs up implying it was. Outside of the plane, Virgin have improvements to make and quickly. So much for an Upper Class ticket.

I was really looking forward to checking out this lounge, given that it is a popular one. I checked my priority pass app and it said that I had access. My friend and I were excited to try out the same. However, to my surprise, the receptionist was horribly rude. She said that priority pass was not allowed. It really put me off. To add to the same I saw she allowed non Asian people who had the same priority pass.
I'm a student who had a class all day long and I requested her to allow us, given that the lounge was empty. She repeatedly denied and said that they can't accept priority pass. To add to that, she was insensitive and said that everyone has their story and I don't care about yours, even if you are a student.

How can Virgin Atlantic deny entry when the lounge was empty? Moreover, they are partial towards Asians - racism to the fullest and are sensitive to students. I would appreciate if Virgin Atlantic owned up and dealt with the receptionist. Such behavior is outrageous and sets a terrible black mark on the image of Virgin Atlantic. I'm extremely disappointed by my experience. I'm a regular traveler, although I'm a student and I have never experienced such ill treatment. No one needs to be rude. And if a lounge is empty, and if an eligible passenger (especially a student) visits your lounge, I think it would be inhuman to say such horrible things.
Who cares about the ambiance and the brand name when your employees behave so poorly and are inhuman?

Got into the lounge with priority pass. They are pretty strict on times that priority pass are able to come in.

This is one of the cleaner lounges I've been to. Food is all ordered thru a QR code and drinks are all ordered at the bar. Food was good - nothing spectacular.

Overall, great place to relax and grab some food if you're able to get in.
