YES to no more pain in the teeth...

I love Dr. Vista. Extremely professional, honest, and excellent quality of work. i've tried so many dentists in the past and always left feeling bruised, overcharged, and sh*tty work that required either replacement work and 2 subsequent root canals because they didn't get the cavity cleaned right.

Positives:
-I have a small mouth, but Dr. Vista and her staff are more than accomodating is working with me. She even gets out of her seat to work at different angles.
-I can't stand pain, especially the needle for numbing. She has the experience to numb with one shot, then deliver the rest of the shots to make it less painful.
-The quality of work is outstanding. I've had 4 root canals (2 with Dr. Vista), 3 crowns, and mulitple fillings and cleanings. Dr. Vista checks and double-checks to make sure that the cavity is cleaned (this is important because my previous 2 dentists didn't hence the subsequent root canals), and the crown fits right
-We've all been there, trusting our dentists to proscribe a treatment plan, though some dentists are unscrupulous and take advantage of your trust. Dr. Vista double-checks visual observations with xrays and prescribes an honest treatment plan of the must-dos now, and have-to-dos but a certain time.
-I have dental insurance but teeth work is still expensive. After a berekely and montclair dentists, I find Dr. Vistas rates very reasonable.

Cons (all which they have remedied):
-The front office reception was a little slow in providing me my treatment plan cost estimates. The lady is no longer there and the front office is more efficient.
-The front office reception use to call and leave a message for a callback. I would call back to only discover it was an appointment reminder. So annoying. After several instances of this, I finally asked and apparently, upon request in my file, they can leave appointment reminders on my vm.

This place is awesome!! Every one that works here is so friendly. This is my second visit Dr Vista is amazing she is so kind so gentle and so professional! She walked me thru the whole procedure as it was being done. The office is clean and very up to date! I highly recommend this dental office

Update: Shannon from Vista Dental gave me a call today and addressed my billing issues, apologizing for the confusion with billing and my insurance. I am grateful for the quick callback and resolution. I have my cleaning scheduled for next week and will update my review again after.

I visited Vista Dental for an initial examination, which is required before a routine teeth cleaning. Despite having the highest level of dental insurance coverage, I encountered significant confusion regarding their billing practices. I was assured that all procedures would be covered by my insurance, yet I received a bill for a pre-orthodontic treatment exam that I did not request or need. This lack of clarity and transparency in their charging practices has been very disappointing. They are also very popular so appointments are scheduled 1 month+ out. I still have not had my teeth cleaning which is all I wanted and probably will not until this billing issue is resolved. I hope Vista Dental improves their communication and billing processes in the future.

I really liked that the clinic had friendly staff who helped me with everything and gave me answers to all my questions. I also want to note the cleanliness. I am very demanding about cleanliness and I was glad that in this clinic my gaze did not catch on anything. I will continue to go to this clinic.

Hello, I just called Dr. Vista's office today 6/26 at 1:45pm. I got the rudest person who answered my call. All in all I have been a patient for 20 years. No one has called in 4 years nor have I received a postcard as a reminder, the office women told me "that's a thing of the past", you should have called us. I am so disappointed, this women was RUDE, and she has only been working in the office for 1 year. Every time I call, you have to leave a VM. Before the end of the call she said to me, since you haven't been seen in 4 years, there is a protocol, you will have to be treated as a new patient.... how rude.
Dr Vista, I am disappointed in your new office staff. We will now look for a new DDS thanks to your office person.

I want to say how amazing this place is. Dr. Vista and her staff are simply wonderful. They have been helping me in the process of getting my teeth back to where they need to be. Thank you for all your support. You guys are the best!!

Many years ago, this location was a practice called Cohen Dental and I loved them. At some point, Vista came in and took over Cohen and I became a Vista patient. Every time my family or I went in for treatment, the Vista staff were always trying to sell us something extra. I remember being sold a mouth wash that could detect mouth cancer...even though I had no signs/symptoms/indications/complaints of mouth cancer. Eventually I got tired of the constant sales pitches and moved on.

Well, my dental insurance recently changed and my options for a new dentist were limited. Vista popped up and I thought...ok I'll give them a second chance. I indicated I was a new patient and knew there was a new patient process I would have to go through, but ultimately, I just needed a cleaning. No problem I was told. After a 90-minute appointment, x-rays and a consult were done, but no cleaning! I was told that needed to happen on a different day because they have protocols. Wait...what?!?!? Protocols for what? Protocols to scrape off tartar? I was now told the initial new appointment and cleaning could not be done on the same day. Then I get a referral for an oral surgeon, but I soon discovered that surgeon did not accept my dental insurance! Why would the staff send me somewhere that doesn't accept my insurance? Because someone simply didn't care enough to research it for me (and other patients if you read other Yelp reviews).

The doctor was fine. Her staff on the other hand...Fool me once...shame on you! Fool me twice...shame on me! It's not happening again!

As a dentist, I am particular about who I get dental treatment with. Dr. Catherine Vista is an excellent dentist. She is thorough, caring and stands by her work. I highly recommend Dr. Vista and Vista Dental Care.

Dr Vista and her team so awesome & helpful and professionals taking care the patients. , when I first walk in, front desk lady with smile greeting me. during the treatment, Dr Vista very gently finish the whole procedure and it's the best experience I ever had in my life. I highly recommend see Dr Vista and her team cuz they put patients first and care about patients also care about her staff. Such an awesome team I ever met. Very grateful to the services they've provided.

I am a current patient, and I recently got a threatening letter from Ms. Shannon R, office admin stating to pay the cost of treatment or otherwise.

I was told at first that my insurance covers it but then later found out that it does not. I have been communicating with one of the ladies at the front office who handles insurance if my insurance covers the treatment. Even though it has been months, the front desk advised me to wait because they were going to appeal my case and they were going to contact me regardless letting me know the update. I agreed to pay if my insurance won't cover it. , I haven't heard any updates since last month. the last time I contacted was last month and I told them that I was going to pay on the 8th of this month. It seems like no one is communicating with each other because the letter accused me of refusing to pay aka a "threatening letter" which is 100% false. I was ADVISED to wait it out. I was not given a timeframe of when to pay up if that's the issue. then why was I told to wait out? what is the point of that?

The staff and doctor really did a great job. They made sure I was not feeling any pain at all during the treatment. (Deep Cleaning and Laser Periodontal Gum Disease Surgery). I really really love the results! No more bleeding gums! I definitely recommend this place to do treatments!
