My AC went out on my drive north to the University. Following a recommendation I was able to get an appointment at Walts.
They were on time, knowledgeable about the repairs and extremely fair with their pricing. They really saved the day for us.
When my daughter brings a car to campus and needs a repair I know where I will send her!

I have taken my car to Walts many times. They are always honest and call me to let me know if my car needs additional work. They let me know the cost and ask if I want it done. The other day I scraped my car against a pole accidentally. As a young woman with her first car I was super upset. Today when getting my winter tires on I asked if they could also quote me on the pole damage. After I got my tires on a man (I think his name was Larry, I can't remember) walked outside and said it was an easy fix. He got a rag with something on it and managed to wipe it all away! So many places would've tried to take advantage of me but he did it with a smile and didn't charge me. Walt's is so great and dependable.

My wife and I had a cracked exhaust manifold on a road trip through upstate NY. Walt's squeezed me into their schedule, did a repair, and got me back on the road in a reasonable time. They also recommended that we refuel our bodies at Syracuse Dinosaur BBQ to ease our wait. 5 stars for Walt's and Dino.

Walt's automotive service is the finest automotive maintenance and repairs concern in the central New York and Syracuse region. Absolutely great service and reasonable pricing. They quickly and efficiently diagnose the problem and are extremely helpful in explaining the issue to the customer. Will be back!

I visited this shop several times as of two years ago. My first two visits were okay, nothing special. Regrettably, I was taken for granted as a customer and on my last visit, I was told by Walt to pick up "this thing", meaning my car.

You would think they were providing service free of charge to take such liberty with their customers. It was insulting and disrespectful. This, after billing me for hours of service during which my car sat parked outside the garage with no one working on it. That is not best business practice!

To say I will never again call on this business is an understatement. Neither have I (or would I) recommend them to anyone.

After an ill-fated trip to the vet, I found myself with a seat covered in cat pee. I called around to multiple shops looking for someone who could get me a same-day appointment for interior cleaning services. Walt's got me in same day and was very realistic about their timelines given the short notice. They did an amazing job cleaning my car. I bought my car brand new 7 years ago and the inside of my car looks just as clean now as it did back then. I highly recommend Walt's both for their customer service and their quality of work.

Walt's is the most honest, friendly, and generous shop around.
They have helped me on 2 seperate occasions and I will continue to spread the word and come back.
They could probably do everything car related.

My friend's car battery died on W genesee and one of their guys came to the rescue! They sent him our way, he jumped, and changed a new battery in under an hour!

they get me in and out in under 10 minutes for tire pressure check.

They do auto body repairs too.
I won't go anywher else while I'm in this area!

Nobody ever wants to have to use an auto mechanic. It's never a fun time when your car starts making funny noises or driving not-quite-right. To add to my despair, I previously had a preferred mechanic in the area (Masello's), however, since I started working downtown, the logistics of taking my car to that shop have gotten more challenging. Luckily, Walt's is not too far from where I work, and after seeing good reviews online/hearing recommendations from coworkers, I decided to take my car there. I called ahead and made sure they'd be able to get me in-- the office staff assured me they would have time to take a look. I dropped the car on my lunch break, and had a call within an hour assessing the issues. The mechanic told me they should be able to complete the repair (power steering issues) by closing time, and true to his word, the car was ready by 5:30. The staff was very personable and communicative and made a stressful situation easier with their professionalism. Hopefully, my car won't need any other repairs any time soon, however, next time it needs service, I will definitely consider taking it back to Walt's.

Despite the fact that my total was almost $1500 I feel like they were very honest and professional. They even washed my car!
