I have been using Astar Cleaners since 2017 and purchased $500 worth of Tokens as Platinum member. When come to Dry clean service, I am looking for 3 categories.
1. Dry clean quality - I am happy. Our clothes are clean and We don't smell the chemical on the fabric. We have no bad experience on our expensive clothes here.
2. Convenience - they provide door to door service - pick up and delivery, I text Michael for the order and pick up. His driver comes picking up the dry-clean, and delivery dry clean. That is NICE
3. Pricing - They are very competitive. For Platinum member $250 prepaid with 140 tokens, they subtract the token as we go.
That's the reason I give them 5 stars since they meet my requirements.

I was recently introduced to these guys for their door-to-door services.
Although prior to this I was using their in-person service; but of course due to the current circumstances I later switched over.
This was an incredible decision.
A few things to point out that I love is of course the convenience - but their pricing structure is another aspect.
Basically I purchased these pre-paid credits which I can then put toward any service and this gets me additional discounts.
Their base prince before this discount is great and competitive however it is even more exceptional with it.
If you get the platinum tier you'd also get a welcome box with everything you need to get started. They also allow multiple addresses (work or home) to get pickup and delivery'.
As far as their work I've used their in-person services now for almost two years and this is new to me but the level of convenience is incredible. Price is superb and they've never missed a promise they gave me.

Be aware. They advertise that they provide professional cleaning service for the cheapest rate available at Palo Alto. Yes, the pickups and deliveries are fairly timely and the rate is not expensive for the service available at Palo Alto, but not the others: the sales guy (Michael) is extremely rude (this is important because this is the guy you have to interact with for beyond the scheduled pickup and delivery), and the cleaning service is terrible. In my personal experience, I don't think I got even what I paid for. Therefore, I don't understand all these 14 positive reviews. I asked Astar Cleaners (Palo Alto) to do mostly dry-cleaning of sweaters, pants, shirts, skirts, and kids' clothing, and my impressions are:
- The cleaning service is simply terrible. First, the garments with normal dirtiness were not carefully cleaned. For example, the neck areas of my casual button-down shirts have not been cleaned thoroughly. Isn't this basic treatment? Moreover, they did not remove any stain that came from bike oils, dirts, foodstuff, etc. that I believe can be thoroughly cleaned by some careful cleaning normally offered by family-run cleaning businesses. I have attached pdfs and photos describing the stains that were not removed from the first cleaning, and the same stains (even not faded at all) remaining even after the second cleaning (I asked Astar what to remove in detail with photos and marks).
- The sales guy (Michael) is extremely rude. Here are what happened between him and me Sep-Nov in 2017 in a chronological order.
1. He charged me more: I sent them 27 garments, but he charged me for 34.
2. The delivery guy delivered us 7 garments that are not ours.
3. I told Michael about this, and he replied me in an email saying that "Hello, we have received the rejected 6 shirts and 1 blouse. I am certain these were part of your order, but not to worry at all. I already went ahead and applied 14 AA-Credit to your account..." Strikingly, he did not believe us. He treated us liars.
4. Taking 7 garments out from the original charge, he should have given me back 15 AA-Credit. He is only giving me 14 AA back after taking all the money charged for 34 garments. After a few communications, I ended up receiving 1 AA more. What is really striking and unpleasant was to me that, he obviously expressed his anger against me over the phone. His attitude was really unacceptable.
5. After observing no improvement after an attempt of re-cleaning the stains, I asked him to try once more to tackle those, because I believed that they did not try anything else but running the same process in a cleaning machine again. Michael called me after 10pm on Sunday! Wow. He told me that he can't do the service for me without charging me extra.

Let's be honest here - having to use a door-to-door dry cleaning service has always been in mind - but I was skeptical for using these guys, until I called them and was given a brief "walk-thru" on how it works.
So went for it!
My experience with them is - nothing short of convenient and pure joy - just the time savings alone is enough for me to give them this rating.
I called their Customer Service Rep - I think her name was Lisa - but regardless of her name, the person who answered totally blew my mind away with her customer service - I hope she gets credited for this.
So, she explained their procedure and how the process works. I decide to give it a shot and scheduled a pickup.
The pickup was nicely scheduled and I received my clothes in two days in a zipped up bag - not plastic. Of course being an environmentalist it's good to see such practices.
The next time, I scheduled a pickup from my work and the routine was the same - if anything even more simple this time.
The few times that I did this - I was confident enough to go for their exclusive packages they have to get discounts - I guess if I'm using them anyways - why not also get discounts and other perks! Basically, you prepay and get discounted rate. It's actually quite cool - like a loyalty card of some sort and the prepaid amount never expires!
Emailed their Customer Service - same good reply and informative.
Good pointer - they are fantastic with text messages and communications as such.
It's now been over 2 months that I've been using them and so far so good.
I will be sending few pants to get hem and some leather stuff I need for leather care - let's see how it goes. But, from my experiences thus far, I'm confident there won't be any issues - will update this review if anything good or bad comes up.
Oh, they have specials most of the times, I suggest asking for it. Especially on their Astar Advantage programs. I did call them and they had their month bonus if I were to do the program and it worked great.

These folks are absolutely amazing to work with. Their customer service is the best I've experienced in the dry cleaning industry( is that a thing?)
I was shopping around for a new dry cleaning service since taking my clothes to San Jose was not a practical option.
A bit hesitant to try this business at first, there weren't many reviews but I needed my clothes cleaned asap and decided to try them out. I looked through their website and was satisfied with what they were offering so I gave them a call.
They offer various programs depending on your dry cleaning needs. I decided to go with the pay as you go the first few times, now I have joined their Advantage program.
Super easy to use and caters to our schedule, once you sign up you can choose the pick up/delivery days .I like Mondays and Thursdays. My clothes gets picked up on Monday and dropped off on Thursday, that same week.
Because who has time for laundry on the weekends?..not me
They also offer an alteration service, which I have yet to try. Will update once I do!

I've been using these guys for about three months, and I can't say enough good things about their services. Obviously, they are new to my area but the fact that they pickup and deliver and their timing and scheduling is so hands on, I am loving their service each and every time.
My sister and I are quite busy with our nurse jobs and sometimes with graveyard shifts, which makes it near impossible to go to a local cleaner to have our stuff processed. So, after noticing their ad I thought to give them a try.
Their price structure is really cool. I've never come across any business operation with a unique pricing schedule. It definitely captured my attention, however after few tries on their regular services, I eventually gave in and got on with their I think Advantage program.
Basically, it gives us additional perks and discounts including their free pickup and dropoff. Their quality is great and I've yet to see any problems with it. On time delivery schedule and I've also been able to provide my work as the pickup and drop off address (even better).
They use these cool green bag to avoid the use of plastics, which is another reason why I love them so much (fan of environment of course) :)
And lastly, their customer service. I absolutely love that they are so hands on and there is always someone answering the calls and text messages. Its not a robot, which makes it a lot better to make your point across.

Such easy process - at least for me it was.
Called them up, and was forwarded to their automated messaging system but shortly after a live-agent was on the phone. Asked about their process - they were very helpful. Then visited their website and went through their system and signed up.
Here are my experiences thus far, - I have to say - although positive, I will review them again in a month or two in order to share more of what I have experienced with them.
Their process is seamless, at first I had to sign up and go through the basic process of setting up my account but eventually, it was a breeze to have them pick up and deliver back without me being present. One errand taken care of from my busy weekly schedule.
At first I got on their regular program, which you use to pay for every time you'd use the service - prices were good - not going to lie, but It got very competitive with their in-house program. I believe their advantage program. Basically you pay for a bulk of credit in advance and you go on this program where price of cleaning each item comes at a discount. The discount is considerable, also the minimum order is less and you get two cool garment bag so no more of the plastics.
Quality of their work, which I'm sure most people care about - I am very satisfied. I've tried many cleaners throughout my life and they are extremely good and what I liked most about them is their customer service. They are always a call away and e-mail if necessary.
Now, I will say this, I have used them for about a month and I've had great experiences here, but I will continue using them and trying their services and if anything, changes I will update my review. This is actually quite an interesting service provider. First for me, with the whole website orders and requesting of my stuff to be picked up.
I have to admit as some other Yelpers mentioned, the convenience part is superb. I can't complain about that.
I had them clean few of my vintage winter coats (Aquascutum brand) which are beyond precious to me. At first, a bit worried as to why I picked them, but after placing my first order - I have been blown away with their customer service.
Basically, I asked them to pick up the order from my workplace and left them basic instructions about the garment (basically going on and on about how much I love these garments lol). So, right when it was picked up, a few hours later I was given a text and a follow-up call on my phone regarding my order.
They basically thanked me for being part of their service, but also made me feel comfortable that they will take care of the job without anything to be worried about.
Now this to me is absolutely great. I love their customer service rep and their professionalism.
The result: the coats looked great. The few stains I had on them were all taken off and I was extremely happy with their delivery service and notification system.
I am thinking to introduce my cousin to them and maybe get her Wedding Gown taken care of.
Regardless, I think they are absolutely great. Especially, if you're looking for a convenient of pickup and drop off service.

What a difference it makes to use door-to-door service like these guys.
After using the typical Dry Cleaning operations and going to the store fronts, I came to realize there is a new way to spoil myself and have them come to me instead of me going to them. I guess one less errand for me to run.
I work a lot and live and work between San Francisco and San Carlos area, so one less errand to run makes a huge impact in my life even if its a quick pitstop at a local dry cleaner, so with all of that I thought to give them a try after a friend of mine suggested them to me.
My first experience with them has been nothing but positive, I've signed up with them at first as a one-time customer, and got my items picked up the next day, cleaned and returned in two business days.
The timeframe is about the same as going to the store if anything faster. Think of it this way, you go to In-N-Out, going in the store actually takes longer than the drive-thru - I guess they just want to cut the traffic this way. lol
Price is very competitive, in fact for me is even cheaper to go with these guys than any cleaner that's nearby where I work and live.
Quality, which to me is by far the most important aspect - I've yet to find issues with it. They are reliable and do a great job with my clothes.
The only complaint I have is I wish, I could meet that handsome delivery guy in the picture... now that's just not cool - what a tease. lol
