West Coast Cranes

I recently used West Coast cranes to lift a large endless pool over top of my house and into my backyard. The coordination with the team was simple, and the service was extremely professional! The guys that showed up were polite, professional, and had great attitudes! If you should ever need a crane service or a rigor, this is the place you want to call!

Stay away from West Coast Cranes (WCC), as there are plenty of other crane companies in the Bay Area that won't pull a bait and switch on you, in terms of what they can accomplish for the price they quote. We only tried working with them because the swim spa company recommended WCC, but they failed to honor their quote, increasing the quoted price by an astronomical amount at the last minute, which required us to scramble for other crane service options; turned out to be a blessing in disguise since we found Ad-Lite cranes in the process, whose service and execution was flawless.

WCC will talk a good game (Tim N.), but that's about all you'll get; maybe some double talk and some spin. Save yourself the headache and frustration of dealing with WCC; too many other options available to have to deal with this company.

I call to get a quote from Tim to move a swim spa from the curb over my house. He gives me a quote then when I call to make arrangements to do the job he tells me that I will have to strap the swim spa myself and signal the crane operator. What kind of outfit is this? Why in the world would I pay several thousand dollars to strap the spa and signal the operator? When the spa drops on my house I suppose they are not liable? Is this guy serious? They should say sir as the home owner we need to send two certified union workers that know what they are doing to move your spa. They all the sudden wanted an additional $1k to send a signal
Person Buyers Beware and ask what you're getting so you don't get bait and switch!!

So - Christa is a super star.

Punctual, professional - floated a hot tub over our house and onto a third story deck and didn't even break a sweat, AND stopped to pet and say hi to our dog. So awesome!

Amazing! After 2 crane companies said "no" to getting my hot tub in my sunset backyard, these guys said "yes"! And did it without a sweat! Tim is amazing and his crew got my hot tub in my tiny backyard no prob!

So I am a landscape contractor that needed to place a out door fire place in the back yard and it needed to be lifted of a two story house. The bottom part of the fire place was 4500lbs the top piece was 1200lbs. The driver showed up at 8am on time and was great to work with him and his assistant made sure we would not destroy the fireplace while it was being moved. Robert explained numerous times if we need to set it 25 times then that's what we do but he did not want us to try and rush it... he said take your time make sure it's square.. my concern was to make sure it was level.. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Robert was really good at what he does..

We needed a crane service to replace our roof HVAC unit and hired this company after Arrow dispatched a driver and crane that told us the job couldn't be done. West Coast Cranes' operator had the job completed in an hour. He was polite, courteous and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

So I used this company to lift my new spa onto my deck and it was set up by the spa company. Then 6months later when I go to move same company wants to charge over $700 and if I want a 2nd guy to help rig the crane it's almost $1700 . Talk about taking advantage . To top it off the receptionist was rude , took 4days to even get a call back and then the owner calls and tries to rip me off because they are so busy. FYI everyone this was lift spa off deck set on my trailer and leave.

Update:
I called other local crane companies and their quote for the EXACT same job was $350.00 and they could be there the next day.

These people showed up one day to do a job for a neighbor. They lifted a ADU out of the neighbor's back yard and swung it over our house to get to it out to the street. At no time did they contact us or ask for permission to endanger us and our property, as they are required to do. Multiple requests to discuss the situation have been ignored. I would not ever do business with people this callous, cavalier, and unprofessional.
