I been going to another Roofing supplier in San Francisco for years! putting up with the abusive custermor service there! So i went to Western Gravel and Roofing WoW !!! Eugene was very helpfull explaining the differnce in roofing materials! From now on ! any Roofing contractor i use for my bids I will request they get the supplies from Western Gravel and Roofing!

Sent my worker there with an Business ATM with a pin code, service associate said that he can't use it and I have to email him my credit card and my ID. I emailed and they claimed that they did not receive it, made my worker pay cash for the purchase.

Where did my credit card information go? What a service! Why are they treating contractors in this way? Is this a front that designed to generate cash?

Horrible experience.

There folks are great - went in Today hoping they had what I needed to do a roofing repair myself, and yep, they had everything in stock and at reasonable prices. Helpfull folks as well, giving good information and suggesting I purchase inexpensive tools to make the job easier, without any pressure.

They also had the correct color I needed - Red Roll to match my existing Shingles. Highly recomended !

I turned to Western to give me advice on the type of roof I needed. Not only were they helpful but they were also respectful. Their suggestions allowed me to select the best roofer for my house.

I have an architect-designed home with a tar and gravel roof and have the same color gravel in the center of my garden. I have three huge cypress trees in the garden which constantly drop leaves on the gravel roof and the gravel in the garden. When we remove the leaves, we end up removing a lot of the gravel, so every few years we have to order gravel to replace the gravel that is lost. The gravel is a beige color, and can only be obtained from A1 Grit in Riverside. I had always ordered it from a roofing supply in South SF, but a few years ago, they claimed they ordered it for me from Riverside, but they kept telling me they would deliver it next month, but I called them every month for a year, and never got any gravel. I tried other suppliers, and found Western Gravel. Eugene promised me he would have it for me in two weeks, and it arrived exactly as he said, in two weeks.

This year, when I tried to order gravel again, Western said they were unable to get it for me due to a slowdown in the tar and gravel roofing business, and they were not ordering bigger loads to fill a truck. I called every roofing supplier with no luck. 6 months later, I found a roofing supplier in San Jose, who said they could order the gravel, but it would cost $2000 to ship it just to San Jose, and then more to deliver it to me in SF. I was almost ready to bite the bullet and order the gravel, when Mike at Western Gravel remembered that I needed the gravel, and called me to ask if I still wanted it, because he had a bigger order, and could put mine on the same truck, and have it here in two weeks. Again, Western came through and delivered my gravel on time. They did not charge me extra for shipping from Riverside, like the San Jose Company, and their price was very good.

Eugene and Western Gravel are the best roofing supplier around, as far as I am concerned. If their is anything wrong with the product or the delivery, they will fix it right away, without hesitation. I wish more companies were like this one.

The ordering and delivery went smoothly, everything handled proficiently, friendly and efficient from start to finish, and I could not be more pleased.

Well, 4 stars for having n95 masks! yeahy. However, I called them to confirm they have received their shipment this morning and asked if they still a lot in their inventory, the lady said yes over the phone. When I got there, they only were selling 1 per person. I wish they would've communicated that to me over the phone. I drove more than 30 minutes to their location and was hoping to get more boxes to distribute to the elderly community in SF.

I have done business with just about everyone out there in the business world. Putting friendship aside, Western Gravel is a family run business that still runs on basic principles, honesty, integrity, and values.

I called Euge for a roof job and he told me who the best contractor was, the type of roof I should get, and he gave me the best price.

If you ever need roofing supplies, this is the place to get it. Been around the business for a long time. Sometimes.............that tells you enough about their business practice and standards.

Went to this store this morning and waited in line the person who owns this place is a special type of employer. This is not the first time I have heard him talk to his staff like a bully I've had three visits and everyone has been the same in the way he talks to employees I have never heard anybody degrade their staff so much in my life. This guy is the most unpleasant employer I have never ever heard talk and treat staff really badly. I heard him talk to them in front of customers like a bully in the playground or an over bearing father. I told him what I thought of him and I refused to purchase there or ever at the store and left. Would never go back there again
