I was having a violent craving for Thai food and my options were to either get some elsewhere or wait an hour for this spot to reopen for dinner service. It was a struggle but I'm glad I survived the wait and stopped by to dine in.

We got the pad Thai, crab fried rice, and papaya salad. I only tried the pad Thai and papaya salad but both were very good. Sizable portions, and the pad Thai noodles weren't gummy which is always my concern whenever I choose to order that dish. I love a spicy kick to my papaya salads and they definitely delivered on that for me. I wouldn't say that it beats my favorite Thai restaurant in the South Bay, but I'm glad to have discovered this place and visit whenever I have a craving for Thai in SF again.

**Update: Upon sharing my experience, I have other reviewers reaching out to me and telling me they had the SAME experience here! They were overcharged for dishes and told the same thing. SMH!**

White Elephant was always our go-to Thai spot whenever we're in the SSF area. Service has always been friendly and food is solid for the price.

However, after dining here tonight, we were a bit disappointed about their business practice. Every single one of their menu had their noodle dishes posted as $14.95 for chicken, beef, or pork and $17.95 for prawns or squid. Upon getting our bill, we were a bit surprised that we were charged $17.95 for our Pad See Ew with BEEF. Not a big deal, just thought it was a mistake but when we asked our server about it, he told us they have changed the prices on their POS but "forgot" to update their menu. That's kind of deceiving for customers. If all their beef dishes are now $17.95, customers should be informed. He was not apologetic about the situation and didn't think much of it, just simply said "chicken and pork are still $14.95, just not the beef." Sadly, he did not honor the posted menu price.

We're all for supporting small businesses, especially in this economy but it's a shame when a business does not honor prices posted on their menus. At least tell your customer about the price difference when they're ordering, knowing that the beef dishes are no longer at that price! I can understand if one menu was mistakenly left out and you forget to change it but knowingly that none of your menu have your new updated prices is just not right to many of your loyal customers.

Their food is still good but just be aware that you might be charged differently than their posted prices. As a business, posted prices should be honored. Forgetting to update the menu is an error on your part, not the customer and definitely leaves a bad taste. What a shame!

I was searching up food to order for dinner and landed on thai food. This place had a good amount of reviews so I wanted to try it out. The prices were fine. I ordered through their online website. Honestly, big mistake.

Angel Wings (1/5): These were fried chicken wings tossed in a sweet and spicy chili garlic sauce. The chicken itself was tough and felt frozen. The sauce was super basic and felt like it just came from a jar.

Crispy Tofu (3/5): This was the best thing out of the entire order. It didn't have much flavor so you definitely need to use the sauce. It comes with a sweet chili sauce but I subbed it for peanut sauce.

Green Curry (2/5): Eggplant simmered in a moderately spicy green curry sauce. I ordered this with beef and it was not good. It was runny and wasn't milky/creamy. I chose a level 6 spice and it was okay. It also doesn't come with rice.

Pad Thai (1.5/5): It was topped with eggs, tofu, bean sprouts and green onions. I chose level 6 spice but only half of the meal was spicy. It was like all the chilis were just on one side. The other side lacked flavor.

Everything was very dry and flavorless. The sauce didn't help either. Definitely not good and definitely do not recommend. I don't even have photos of anything because it wasn't worth it.

Great Thai spot across from the Goodwill!
All of the takeout favorite like Pad Thai and Pad see ew. One highlight is their roti, which imhas some drizzled sweetened condensed milk on top. Delicious way to finish the meal!

It is a small cozy restaurant. The service was good. Food came on time. Ordered many dishes, the food was good but a couple dishes were to sweet for my taste buds (Angel Wings and Pad Thai)

We came here after picking up our rental car after our flight at SFO and we were starving. We were able to find street parking right outside the restaurant and walked in. The space is small but cute and we were seated right away. We ordered the egg rolls as an app, which were not bad. They were definitely served steaming hot. The soup we had was delicious, the fried rice and pad see ew were also really good. The thai iced tea was great and overall, food was prepared well and the service was good.

Fast and quality food. However, portions shrunk and prices have increased!

We came by at 5pm, by the time we left at about 6pm, they already had more than half house and a bunch of take out orders lined up.

We got the staples, pad thai with beef and pad sew ew with beef. All delicious with their tint of sweetness. We finished off our meal with a thai iced coffee and mango sticky rice. The mango sticky rice left much to be desired. We only got half a mango and it was a bit tart (perhaps this was our fault since it is still mid-Mach and mangoes aren't in season yet) and half a scoop of rice. The rice was cooked perfectly, just wish there was more.

The 1 star is literally just for the food because it has so much flavor and actual really good. We ordered the chicken pumkin curry over rice I would say was very yummy. The reason for my low rating is the CUSTOMER SERVICE super bad bad isn't even the right word it's terrible! The guy with the glasses that works the front and also takes your order to your table specifically him I can't speak on any other people that work there but him! Im hoping we caught him on a bad day but if this is him everyday then maybe he shouldn't work with customers. We came in a group of 3 my friend is in a specific diet but wanted to come and join us so she asked him if they allow outside food (being respectful of the restaurant to ask first) he was super dismissive, put his head down and as she was asking him, he was walking away saying basically no so she ate her food in the car while we ate inside. Put our plate mats and utensils at the corner of the table left it there didn't even organized it nicely in front of us. Then we both asked for the same thing to eat (pumpkin curry) he came with both pumpkin curry balls in one plate with two scoop of rice. I asked him sorry can we have our rice separate I mean why would he put both of our rice together on one plate? He seemed irritated, took the plate, threw the rice away in the garbage and came back with two individual plates with individual rices. Like WHAT!!! he could of easily just brought a extra plate and we could have separated our rice we were baffled! There is people starving in this world and he wants to throw away the entire rice because of his mistake putting both of our rice together??? He didn't get a tip from us at all shoot we should haven't even paid for our food the worst customer service ever like I said throw him to the back with all that attitude he's lucky he hasn't came across someone who would have put him in his pla

We got the pad thai, basil fried rice, and pad prik sod with chicken. All of them were delicious! I initially chose this spot because I was craving pad thai and they did not disappoint. The sauce on the noodles were very flavorful and strong. Out of all the dishes the fried rice came with the most quantity. The pad prik sod although having lot of jalapeños in it wasn't extremely spicy but definitely had a kick to it.

The service was also amazing. Everyone was very attentive. All of our food also came out in less than 10 minutes. Super quick service!

The inside is very clean and has a great ambiance. Parking may be difficult around the evening but you can always find more parking down the street or park at the parking lot by the shopping center.

Overall, our meal cost us around $50 for three items and was enough to keep two people full for dinner.

It's a smaller establishment, not super clean. I wouldn't recommend using their restroom. Their staff are super kind and helpful with answering any questions. The food is all delicious. The pineapple fried rice with chicken was so flavorful. We also ordered the pad see ew with beef and it was cooked perfectly. Last but not least we ordered the ka pow. The flavors were there and it was tasty, but there was hardly any meat and way too much onion and bell peppers. The dish was significantly smaller than the other too and did not come with rice. That is the only disappointing thing. Other than that, I would come back here.
