Best experience getting an appliance, I was hesitant to buy from here, but am glad I did. It is so much better to get a higher end appliance rather than the generic cheap disposable item. We can actually use our dishwasher and watch tv at the same time ‍‍‍ Thanks Glen!!

Glen was an absolute pleasure to deal with ! Everything was done over the phone I prepaid and he said 2 weeks and it was finished on time . The refrigerator is beautiful and it looks new. Glen was always available by phone or text. Very responsive ! I highly recommend this company and the quality / price can't be beat. They know what they're doing !

The fridge was purchased for a client and cost over $7000. The client has had three Sub Zero service technicians try to dissect and repair multiple problems. Glen (the owner) was unresponsive, argumentative and provided no assistance whatsoever.

Wilshire Appliance came today (5/17/24)to assess the fridge. Here's what the technician found:

1. The refrigerator was manufactured in 2003 and left the Subzero warehouse in Pennsylvania then. This year of subzero has inherent problems with the compressor placement. Subzero has since changed the design so that this problem doesn't exist in their newer models. He said their company won't usually fix these b/c it's not worth the headache and they won't last long.
2. The heat exchanger that connects to the compressor had permagum (a putty) to seal it. This was believed to be the problem with the freezer not working. He took the freezer compressor apart and defrosted it. He said this is likely why there was condensation before, too. He was able to get it working. But he did say, if this fix doesn't last, it is not worth replacing b/c it is a manufacturer problem with that model.
3. The doors have stainless steel sheets glued on top of the original Subzero doors. Doors cost about $1k each and he said they are absolutely not worth replacing on this fridge b/c it will not last long. As you know, the steel is sharp and can literally cut your finger off.
4. He said most of the parts are original (over 20 years old) so he would not spend any money on this fridge it has been completely piece-milled together including with non Sub-Zero manufactured parts. (On WAC website it clearly states they do not refurbish using after market parts).
5. The source of the leak can't be clearly detected since the drain pan is completely dry and the water is coming from the sides of the fridge. He said the only thing he can surmise is that it is "Sweating" within the insulation thus the walls are wet. There is pooling around the base of the fridge and the newly installed European oak floors are completely destroyed along with the base moldings and drywall.

WAC chose to ignore the client's multiple requests for assistance and instead sent me a threat today (see e-mail screenshot picture) if I do not remove my review. The review is based on facts that were provided to me by the Sub-Zero approved technicians. The client had three technicians come out to try to diagnose and repair the fridge. I do not benefit from posting negative reviews, I am only advising consumers to do their due diligence.

Glen is not only the most knowledgeable Sub Zero guy out there, he is an honest man. His people completely refurbish every unit to look amazing and perform like brand new units. We are extremely happy with our Sub Zero 690. Delivery was professional and prompt. I would recommend him to anyone looking for the best of the best when it comes to Sub Zero. Thank you Glen.

I wholeheartedly recommend Wholesale Appliance and Glen in particular. He knows his business and product and he's committed to doing right by his customers. I bought a refurbished SubZero and I'm happy with it. More importantly, it did arrive with some slight shipping damage from the shipper, but Glen filed an insurance claim and led the way until I got fair reimbursement. I trust Glen and he'll be my first stop for any future purchases.

Glen advertises extensively on EBay and other sites and his ads interested me as I wanted to buy a SubZero refrigerator but couldn't afford a new one.
Glen refurbishes SubZeros at great prices so I ordered one. It arrived quickly, crated and in outstanding condition, like new. Glen was a pleasure to do business with and offered his help with any issues that might occur in the future. He's the real deal and I highly recommend his services.

I bought a re-conditioned late 90's/early 2000's Sub-Zero refrigerator from WAC about 2 years ago. I wasn't thinking along the lines of a SZ because they are pricey&the newer models got terrible reviews.
Quite by accident I stumbled across WAC(I think maybe eBay??)Believe me, I was very skeptical since the price was still beyond my comfort zone&lets face it - I was still skeptical about SZ's reliability etc.
Boy am I glad I took the plunge! Once I contacted them, Glenn(the owner I believe)walked me through&told me all about their process. He told me the older models are basically bomb-proof(not his exact words lol)with their simple design&components that are less complicated & far more durable than newer models(less computer chips etc). Plus - these machines are totally gone over & reconditioned at the shop.
We have had no problems with this fridge. It is beautiful, spacious and gives our galley-style kitchen a very luxurious vibe. We get tons of comments and compliments on it. I also love the counter depth )where you can open it&basically see EVERYTHING that's in there without digging!
Glenn is also extremely responsive. ANY concern or question I've ever had, all I do is shoot him an email or give a call&my questjon is IMMEDIATELY answered - no runaround what's-so-ever.
That alone speaks volumes for the integrity of this business. I highly recommend!

No No Never! these crooks shipped us broken 12 yr old Thermidor that had been previously repaired, it wouldn't even get cold, had no water filter, so couldn't even make ICE as he claimed on the phone he had tested 5 TIMES. He made false statements on Credit card Dispute claim and now we are struggling to get our $$$$ back. Go Elsewhere. Read LP's review, Glen manipulated a No-Ebay purchase so we don't have Ebay guarantee.
Why is he not with BBB in Sacramento?? This guy/business is a sham.

Buyers BEWARE. If I could give NO stars I would. This seller knows how to work the system and play games and he is a complete crook! Don't let the photos and greatly discounted prices on the fine name brand appliances fool you! We received a completely smashed and ruined GE refrigerator. We contacted the seller while the product was still on the delivery truck, he assured us to accept delivery and he would help us make an insurance claim to take care of it. Knowing that was a load of crap we refused delivery and still ended up getting screwed out of a lot of money. He has multiple business names so be sure to check the address of the seller if you dare to buy on EBay- but he'll talk you out of doing your transaction through eBay to "save you money" - This isn't his first or last rodeo! He should be in prison for what he does to buyers.
