Fresh noodles, wonderful flavors, tender meat. Kid approved too. Food didn't take too long either.

The food was truly delicious! Order: H1. Spicy Cumin Lamb in Sauce, D2. Lamb Dumplings in Sauce, and
S1. Spicy Cucumber Salad. Everything was fresh and amazing. By far the best dumplings and noodles I've tried. The spicy cucumber salad is spicy so ensure your spice tolerance is high. The cumin lamb in sauce is medium spice and the lamb dumplings as well. The sauces on both terrific! Overall the food was PHENOMENAL. I love the freshness and taste of everything. I love that they had beef and lamb options not too many vegetarian options but do have a few options.

The service was great. Servers were attentive and helpful when asked about the menu. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended best items.

Ambiance this place is small with limited tables. Definitely get there right when they open so you can have a table. The place did not have AC so it was extremely hot and the spice made it even hotter. That's about the only bad thing I have to say about the restaurant. Everything else was amazing.

      Definitely recommend!

Solid place, no issues just not like wow my socks off. (4 stars is good ok?!)

I came on a Thursday for lunch and was able to be seated right away. Service was quick and fast. I ordered the zha jiang noodles (no/mild spicy - only 1 spice level, can't customize) as I wanted a dry noodle. Their hand-pulled noodles were freaking amazing, so Q and just the perfect amount of chewiness. I love good fat noodle pieces. The zha jiang sauce was also really good and the ratio was actually really good too for sauce to noodles! That's not common!

I would come back if I were in Alameda!

The place has been on my to-try list for a while, but somehow we just haven't had a chance to dine here. But with Tuesday movie night plans with friends at Alameda Theater, we agreed to have dinner here beforehand. It's a small restaurant with about six or seven tables with one outside. Arriving at 5:30, we had our choice of tables.

They specialize in dishes from Western regions of China and hand-ripped noodles. Menu includes dumplings, noodles, ramen, malatang, sliders, street foods and salads. Many of the dishes were listed as spicy. Our waitress answered our questions about the dishes we selected and its spicy level. But we all wanted to try the Biang Biang hand-ripped noodles.

Pork Zha Jiang Biang Biang Noodles - the wide ribbons of thick chewy noodles were topped with a savory minced pork sauce, sliced cucumbers, bean sprouts, sesame and mild spice. First time trying these noodles. Compared to other noodles, probably not my favorite. Tasty savory pork sauce, but I probably prefer the sweetness of Korean jjajang sauce.

Stewed Pork in Sauce Biang Biang Noodles - stewed pork with cabbage, mixed with cabbage, Sichuan pepper, soy sauce and black vinegar. Tried this and it was good with a vinegary taste.

Spicy Cumin Lamb in Sauce Noodles - sautéed lamb and cabbage with cumin tossed with the noodles. Friend said she wished the sauce had stronger flavor.

Happy to finally try the hand-ripped noodles here. Friend said the Biang Biang noodles were comparable to the shops in Queens. Wild Ginger makes a good option for Park St dining for Western Chinese cuisine.

If you're a fan of hand-pulled noodles and crave bold, spicy flavors, Wild Ginger is a must-visit. This gem of a restaurant offers a delicious array of dishes, but the standout has to be their spicy beef and lamb malatang. Each bowl is a perfect balance of rich broth, tender meat, and fresh vegetables, all brought together with noodles that are chewy and satisfying.

One of the best features of Wild Ginger is the ability to customize your spice levels. Whether you prefer a mild kick or a fiery punch, you can tailor your meal to suit your taste perfectly. The flavors are vibrant and complex, making each bite an adventure.

For anyone looking to experience authentic and flavorful hand-pulled noodles, Wild Ginger is the place to go. The quality of the ingredients and the skill in preparation shine through in every dish, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

      Overall great food and service

Liang Pi - cold skin, basically cold noodles with a spicy savory sauce and veggies. Refreshing and a dish that not many places have

Mala Lamb - not as numbing as expected but definitely a comforting food on a rainy day

The service was excellent, considerate, friendly and attentive (maybe the son of the owner? )

Would recommend if you are into spices!

I gave it 3 stars because of the wonton in chili oil/black vinegar.

      The food overall is ok.
      1. Wonton in chili oil/black vinegar is BOMB ASF.
      2. DanDan noodles lacking meat and sauce, it almost felt like they put a broth in there with no flavor. Noodles were bouncy, I liked that part (which carried the whole dish)
3.Beef noodle soup had no flavor, I've tried other beef noodle soups in Oakland and in Fremont, they weren't terrible like this one.

Service was ok. Slow, even when it wasn't a busy hour.

Ambiance was quiet, slow. I came here when it first opened, and it wasn't bad like this latest experience I've had.

I had high hopes for this place, so I will be coming back to tell myself that they will probably get better (eventually).

When I can hear the sound of the noodles being slapped against the tabletop, "biang biang", I have a feeling it's gonna be a good meal. Traditional to Xi'an, China, biang biang noodles are thick and long, pulled and stretched by hand. I truly did not expect to find a place in the Bay with this on its menu, let alone paying homage to the noodles' origins.

I fully intended to order one bowl of noodles to share but of course, we ended up with:

Spicy Cumin Lamb in Sauce (biang biang noodles)
      Pork Dumplings in Sauce
Stewed Pork Slider (rou jia mo)

I'm not normally a thick noodle girl, but these were delicious. Great chew and a bowl full of flavor. Dumplings were great; LOVE the sauce. The slider was juicy, as it should be. (It's weird to call it a slider lol the literal translation of "rou jia mo" is "meat within bread").

Service was quick and there are a decent number of tables inside with a few outside. Restroom is through the back, behind the kitchen. Would definitely recommend!

Seems to me that inflation has hit this business. I've been coming here for about 4 years now, maybe even before the pandemic. And I come here for one to-go dish only: the spicy Dan Dan noodles. They're a delicious, fresh mix of pulled noodles with buts of zucchini and other tiny vegetables. They glisten from the various sauce mixtures. They hit with the spicy. For some reason there is no meat, however. Most Dan Dans have minced pork sausage. But I do not remember the noodles costing $15.99! I even mentioned this the other afternoon. I got a "well they've always been this price" reply. Not true at all. This dish used to be maybe $11.99 or $12.99. Anyways go out and try it. But bring extra cash.

Proof of the pretty steep price for a tasty, if meatless Dan Dan noodles

Food was delicious! I order to go all the time from here! And to be able to eat in the restaurant was absolutely amazing! The owner chef Larry was truly amazing and even taught us how to make the hand pulled noodles ourselves! The hospitality he showed was beyond expected and being able to have all the numbing spicy hand pulled noodle was a dream come true!

My favorite is their cold hand pulled noodle! Their H5 is also a must get the one with the sauce! Cucumber salad was made to perfection nice crunch texture and lots of flavor!
