Wildwood Landscapes

We engaged Elliot for design consultation and a site visit as we undertake a yard renovation. In a few hours he helped us completely rethink how the space could work, expanded our view of what's possible, and generated many ideas for how we can build within budget and still meet our needs. It's clear from his detailed understanding of installation techniques/planting/drainage/construction and overall considered approach that Elliot does incredibly solid work. Wildwood would definitely be the landscape contractor of our choice!

The reviews are spot on. We reached out to Elliot a year ago and then again more recently to take a look at redoing our very forested and wild (but beautiful) sloped backyard. Although it was ultimately decided that this project wouldn't be the best fit for Elliot and his team, I just had to add my recommendation and really wish/hope we'll be able to do something together in the future!

Highlights:
- Great listener and communicator; even took the time to send an email to let me know that he would respond in more detail after he wrapped up some busy projects that week
- Sent over a quick schematic to help explain a design idea on the same evening that he stopped by to consult / give an estimate on the project
- Read through my laboriously long follow-up email (where I outlined way more specifics on what we were thinking for our space) and steered me towards a different design service, as well as weighed in on feasibility of some of the ideas
- Continued the above email thread to help advise and offer guidance in whatever we implement from a cost-effectiveness standpoint, knowing that we have some serious budget constraints.

Even though we ended up not moving forward, the fact that Elliot was still willing to share his thoughts and expertise speaks volumes -- and while I did pay for the initial site visit, I did not expect him to continue his "consultation" beyond the time he spent in-person, so I really really appreciate his generosity here -- I really think he does it just because he's a nice person (and maybe has a soft spot since I'm also an arch school dropout).

First off let me say that I usually do not write reviews for a number of reasons. That said the work that Wildwood Landscapes did in transforming our front and back yard has compelled me to write about the amazing work that Elliot, Daniel and the team did. To begin with the cost for the design, including 3D rendering of the work to be done, in comparison to landscape architects was very reasonable. The cost included one free major change which we did changing most of the back landscaping.
Elliot was incredibly patient with us in figuring out all of the small design aspects of the project. This included many texts after hours to help calm my anxiety about the job. I think that Elliot is part Landscape Designer and part Therapist :). The whole team was patient with us in answering all of my questions as I was home (retired) during the work. This was very important to me as it was a big job for us and I had a lot of questions.
The plant design that Daniel created along with the boulders is incredibly peaceful and not too busy. Elliot's sense of design as to the overall flow of the landscape was was amazing. We trusted him to help us figure out how to put our ideas into reality and he and Daniel came through. My wife and I sit in our back yard now and we are surrounded by the beauty and calm we desired. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do any landscape work.

Daniel and Elliot transformed our front walkway and outlined our driveway to make our previously hidden house now pop out beautifully. I was very happy with their vision and they were lovely to work with along with their fellow sub-contractors. Always responsive and sincere, I would recommend them highly to anyone.

I absolutely NEEDED to leave one for Elliot & Daniel. I can't speak highly enough of Wildwood Landscapes. My experience from beginning to end working with the guys over there was just great. Elliot was extremely professional and super easy to talk to not to mention his vision and understanding of landscaping and agricultural design utterly floored me. I was absolutely blown away by what we (mostly him) designed for my entry way and backyard. He was great sticking to my budget and his customer service was brilliant-he humored all of my questions and even made me feel like I learned a few things about landscaping design throughout our time working together.
I'm recommending Wildwood Landscapes to all of my friends and anyone who will give me the time of day.

Time to buy a new property so I can get them back!!

This guy just blows my mind. Elliot has proven consistently to be a creative and imaginative problem solver. He created an amazing rustic wooden fence for us using an existing metal framework, and reimagined the whole look of the property. Not only was he a pleasure to have around, but trustworthy and punctual. His documentation and invoices were always in order, and he always confirmed with me if there were any changes in material needs. I appreciated his spirit. My three-year-old daughter wishes she could marry him, so he definitely made an impression!
Elliot is my number one recommendation for rustic and earthy design, natural materials, and an organic landscaping. His work is clean and low impact, and the end result will be magazine quality!

We reached out to Elliot about removing a massive amount of ivy in our front yard here in Kensington and replacing it with something more easy to maintain and cleaner looking. We landed on some grasses and succulent like bushes. We we're thrilled with the results of his work and the whole process was very smooth. He's very responsive and helped walk us through each step of the process. I think our favorite part is the smart irrigation system he helped install which basically takes care of itself. The plants are still relatively young but we can't wait until everything fully grows out.

Called them to get a quote and they said they have gotten so many calls that they are booked until next year. Slightly rude over the phone. I understand being busy, but at least put that on your answering machine or something.

I'm a huge fan of Wildwood Landscapes. Elliot and Daniel are a dream team. They are so easy to talk to and they understand aesthetics and beautiful design. Daniel actually popped by our house about a week ago to document progress. I was sitting inside, working from home and spotted him outside. When I realized it was him, I nearly squealed! LOL, that's how much I like these guys! They're totally professional and at the same time very friendly and fun to have around. So... a little background, we had a dirt yard. Pretty much a blank slate, complete with a funky failed fence and retaining wall. My husband and I are both designers and i'm a huge plant nerd, so we had a lot of opinions about what we wanted. They listened and presented us with a plan that, honestly, I would never have come up with in a hundred years on my own and they nailed it! As much as I love plants, I was a deer in headlights over it and it was killing me. I knew what plants I loved, but I was so unsure about the correct hierarchy and placement. Anyway, every day that they were here working was a day I looked forward to. They were tidy, respectful and pleasant. I watched Daniel's every move and I learned so much! Our yard looks so amazing now! I walk out there and just can't believe it's mine. The fence they built has inspired many neighbors. Everyone loves it and comments on it. I highly recommend Wildwood landscapes!

Wildwood helped us out at our property in Marin County and I could not recommend them enough. Working with them was so easy and our garden looks better than ever. Beautiful design and execution. Thank you guys!
