They rebuilt the transmission on my Honda Odyssey 2006.
The car is shifting nice and smooth now. If will last like now 100K + I'll be very happy.
Time will tell. For now I am happy with their work.
They gave me a courtesy car.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Dave S.Greater Vancouver Regional District, Canada118635May 30, 2018
Our company owns a small fleet of older uplanders. We keep them in good shape, however they are older. One of our vehicles experienced some pretty serious transmission issues. I immediately went on yelp to see who has a great reputation.
Miles ahead of their competition, the reviews for Wilf's were outstanding.
So we called them up and they were able to get us in rather quickly to assess what needed to be done. Not surprisingly, our vehicle required a rebuilt transmission. Wilf's provided us with a quote and, understanding our need to get our truck back into service quickly, gave us a timeline we were happy with.
We picked up our truck this morning and Chris from Wilf's detailed what was done, what we needed to do in the short and long term. Very professional and excellent customer service.
Would definitely recommend them

I was quite impressed with Samantha (Sam) the auto technician at Wilfs. She knowledgeable and knew hit stuff. Very cool to talk to as well. My transmission fluid pan was split and she fixed in in under a week. A courtesy car was provided as well. No hassle, great work, and a cool tech. What more could you ask for?

Brought our 2006 Acura TL in and the folks at Wilf's took unbelievable care of me and our car. Had a few issues but they were very fast and accommodating in making sure my car was running perfect !!! Thanks to Kris for really making every effort to provide an amazing customer service experience. Super friendly, always a smile on his face and I can't say enough how accommodating he was. I never really dealt with Nic but he was always friendly when I walked in also. Great team at Wilf's and would recommend them to any and all of my friends and colleagues for their transmission needs.
WELL DONE !!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kirsten S.Vancouver, Canada339248Jul 22, 2018
My faithful Versa, which has never caused me a day of trouble, suddenly started having transmission issues - the equivalent of a perfectly healthy person suddenly being on the edge of heart failure. The dealership told me they'd have to replace the transmission, which was going to cost me upwards of $3,400. This is never something you want to hear out of nowhere.
Fortunately, someone at Art's Automotive pointed me in the direction of Wilf's. Wilf's had a look at my car, confirmed the same problem the dealership found, and said they could just replace the stepper motor for about $1,200. I was more than willing to give that a try, especially given the great reviews here.
They had to source the stepper motor, and it sounds like it wasn't easy to track it down, but they kept me in the loop with what was going on and when they'd expect it to arrive. My car was running well enough to keep going in the meantime; it was more of a question of inevitable failure at some point. When the day came for the operation, they let me have a courtesy car. Everything went smoothly, right on schedule, and my Versa has been humming along as well as before. Everyone I spoke with at Wilf's was pleasant, intelligent, courteous, and even fun to deal with. I got the sense they were honest and doing their best at all times. I hope not to need them again, but if any other transmission issues come up in the future, I know where I'm headed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ian C.West Vancouver, Canada20162Sep 10, 2014
My transmission began to fail and I limped my car into my local dealership to have it looked at. After some diagnostics they told me that to replace the transmission it would be $5,600.00! Plus tax!! This was more than half the value of my vehicle, and sorry... no courtesy car provided.
I thought I'd try Wilf's. 40 years in Business. A+ Better Business rating. They offered to get my car towed. Set me up with a courtesy car. They were professional and friendly.Great communication. And they quoted me exactly 1/2 of what the dealership quoted me for the repair, and then came in under their quote!
It would be hard to ask for a better customer experience. I see why their lot is packed. Thank you Wilf - this was a 5 star customer service experience.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Helen T.Vancouver, Canada133012Jun 18, 2014
After receiving a $1000+ quote from Volkswagen to replace a leaky transmission valve (yikes!), I decided to do some sleuthing to see if I could find something cheaper.
I did some calling around and found Wilf's. From the get go, the first phone call, Rod and Wilf have been courteous and friendly to me and my precious car. They were able to look at the car quickly and were accommodating to my schedule. After they had my car for an hour or so, they patched up a miniscule leak, and didn't charge me for it, but they asked to see me again in a month. No problem!
When a month passed, I called them back to schedule something and they remembered my car from a 5 second conversation, and checked it again for free. Now, I don't need something to be free to feel like I've been offered great customer service, but I do need to feel taken care of, and NOT taken advantage of (I'm looking at you, VW, and yes, it's with the stink eye!). I would gladly pay for services here if it was an appropriate and proportionate fix, which I feel like they would suggest if needed. Honesty really does pay!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ian S.Vancouver, Canada432615Dec 19, 2014
I'm a courier so I've had plenty of experience with mechanics and the fine gentlemen at wilfs are by far the best, I have dealt with. They are beyond kind, generous and fast and they back up there work 100%.
There isn't enough good things that can be said about them. They set a high standard that can't be beat.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Landon D.North Vancouver, Canada07Mar 2, 2016
The best thing about Wilfs is that they care a ton about the customer leaving satisfied.
I had a complete rebuild on my vw passat transmission, and wilfs was not only the best price in town, but they covered a rental car while it was getting fixed, and again after their 2 week checkup that they do, they had to hang onto the car for a night to make it perfect, and did great work.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
