DO NOT PLACE ANY LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY. We had a horrible experience with my grandpa. We regret so much placing him here. He was there for 4 weeks and he would call us begging us to pick him up. When we picked him up he was frail and looked like a skeleton, and barely able to walk on his own. They lost his dentures 2 weeks in (they never replaced them) , so he wasn't able to eat solids. We had to request to move him into a different room because his roommate would scream and hit his head against the wall and my grandpa was extremely afraid during his roommate's episodes. They never told us about it, my grandpa had to call us during one of those episodes and we had to speak with a supervisor and request him to be moved immediately which they did. But if my grandpa wouldn't have called us during that moment we wouldn't have known.
When we decided to pick him up it was already too late. I went to pick him up and I was shocked when I saw him. I couldn't believe my eyes. That wasn't my Grandpa 4 weeks prior. He was nothing but bones. He passed away 6 days after. I called the facility to let them know how disappointed I was and voicing my concerns I spoke to Pashion (Social Worker) and the Head Of nursing I cannot remember her name I will post it here as well. (Honestly she showed absolutely NO compassion what so Ever) She looked at my grandpas chart since I mentioned how skinny he was and she said oh yeah it seems like he lost 20 lbs in 10 days.. Are you F.. Kidding me???? 20 lbs and you failed to call us to let us know that one of your residents had lost 20 lbs in 10 days. Helloooo!!! Seriously???!!!
This is unbelievable and unacceptable. This is complete Negligence. No one deserves this. My family and I are so hurt. We wish we would have taking him out sooner. I'm begging anyone reading this thinking about bribing a family or loved one to this place Not TO DO IT.
This place is Horrible. 2 nurses from Sutter Novato told us oh No we have heard horrible things about this place from other families. This is not the first time we hear such things. I am sorry to all other families that have gone through the same.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Yna, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your review. First and foremost, condolences on the loss of your grandfather. We are very disturbed to read your comments about his experience at our care center and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss them with you. However, a public forum like Yelp is not the appropriate place for this conversation. We encourage you to contact the regional director at jbutenko@snfmgt.com at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

I wish I could say we had a good experience here as we had high hopes for our loved one. After an accident, my father ended up here. To start, they were unable to get him all the medications he needed (life threatening if he didn't have them). He had pretty poor care and ended up getting covid there (not their fault). They left him in bed the entire time he was in quarantine (3 weeks) in a room no bigger than a large bathroom with another roommate, also with covid. The physical therapy department would not see him during this time. He ended up with a bed sore, unable to even move his lower extremities for quite some time afterwards. Also forced to use diapers since he needed assistance to use the toilet and no one would assist him. We have been dealing with covid long enough now to know that with proper precautions, he was safe to continue to treat him. They are not equipt for transitional care at all. We had to fight daily for a plan of care otherwise he would still be in there. Thankfully he is well minded and was able to get himself better and get out of this place. With that said, it is not the nurses fault but rather very poor management. The nursing managers and social worker were frankly quite awful. This experience was a complete nightmare. Run from this place.

Nice home away from home! Clean, attentive and very easy to communicate with. Erin in accounting is a gem and the staff seems to like their jobs!

I am really thankful that I chose Windsor Care Center in Petaluma for my mother's rehabilitation after she had surgery on her hip. We were warmly welcomed by the Administrator when we first arrived and her staff made sure that my mom had everything she needed not only when we were checking in to her room but also during the entire length of her several weeks stay. My mom truly enjoyed the healing environment and tranquil garden with the beautiful view overlooking the city of Petaluma. I would not hesitate to choose Windsor Care in Petaluma again for any rehabilitation needs for my parents and their friends.

If you or your loved one are in fairly good physical condition, then Windsor may fill the bill. The staff are very kind; the rooms are nice; the place is clean. My 93 year old mother is at Windsor in her second rehab visit in two months. She has the beginnings of dementia (short term memory loss, paranoia, poor logic.) Windsor has managed the congestive heart failure that brought her to the hospital in the first place. BUT...the first thing you see when you enter the facility is a line-up of wheel chairs in the hallway. Sad. During the day the dining room is filled with more wheelchairs, and people sit in front of the TV for hours, one movie after another; so, lots of babysitting. My mother sits in a wheelchair in her room all day alone which increases her anxiety and paranoia. She was able to toilet with help when she was in the hospital, but due to lack of staff, she now uses a diaper 24/7. During my visits of 2-3 hours every other day, I find my mother's hallway frequently empty of staff for long periods of time. When I go to find help, they come quickly, but do not answer the call button quickly. They are simply short staffed compared to the other facility in which she spent time. As I said, the staff are kind and caring, but there simply aren't enough of them to answer patient needs. Medicare rating is low compared to a nearby facility, the one where Mom received very attentive care, Petaluma Post-Acute on B Street. Just know what to expect and what feeds the particular patient's needs.

When my father fell in his home and had to go to a Care Center we sent him to Windsor Care. While he was there we determined that he was no longer able to live alone and care for himself. He lived there until he passed a few months later.
Where Windsor REALLY was WONDERFUL, is that my father was always a very cantankerous man. He yelled and screamed all the time and could be very hard to get along with. At Windsor Care they worked hard to make him happy and respect his wishes and he calmed down and was treated with love and care and respect.
Thank you.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Moyra H.Colorado Springs, CO17Dec 20, 2019
Unfortunately Windsor Care is so inadequate. They can't keep staff and the change over is detrimental to the continuity of care. They lack in communication with family which has lead to care being inadequate. Their Medical Director should be fired. He has zero compassion, knowledge and just wants to medicate clients. He literally yelled at me over the phone about care for my loved one. He does not like being held accountable and his ego gets in the way of practicing medicine. His turn around time to get tests completed and results is detrimental to the care of patients. Dr. Hamblin, said," putting in a feeding tube in a 50 year old women goes against his morals and ethics." Find another place to bring your loved one.

My dad went in there to walk better after urinary tract infection. I kept asking them if they were getting him up to walk. He was never walking when I went there. They put them in wheel chairs wheel to the dining room, put a plate in front of them. Several weeks later they sent him home to die, he did 2 wks later. My dad severed in 3 wars, I should have taken him home and never listen to the hospital that had me send him to a place like that. DON'T TAKE YOU LOVED ONES THERE.
