Woodhouse Spa - Walnut Creek

First thing when you walk in is the absolutely intoxicating scent. I've been to hundreds of spas and many smell good but this one takes the cake. I'm pretty sure it was a mixture of essential oil's in a diffuser but I should've asked what oil's were mixed together to make that smell.
The ladies at the front were extremely nice with smiles on their faces. The lady who take me back to the lockers was very friendly. The spa itself is very lovely and has a great feel to it. If I were to open my own spa I would most likely decorate it based on this one. I would probably just add a little bit more of a contemporary edge to it but otherwise I absolutely loved the way the facilities looked. The bathroom and vanity areas were very clean and organized. Lots of different lotions and Soaps. The only unfortunate thing is it does not have a steam room or a sauna. If that place had those things, it would easily be a Forbes five star spa and they could probably even hike up their prices LOL. I've been to every Forbes five star spas in California and many around the world, so I can easily say this place is more impressive than probably 75% of them.
The relaxation room is in fact very relaxing. Comfortable seating, a nice cozy fireplace, different teas to choose from, spa water, and even some snacks.
My massage therapist Mariegrace came at noon on the dot exactly when my appointment was scheduled. She took me in the room and I absolutely love the feeling of the massage room. Probably one of my favorite massage treatment rooms I have ever been in. And this includes my favorites spa, the Spa at Encore in Vegas. The treatment room has such a relaxing feel. You can tell they really went out and wanted to make it not just a massage but an experience as well.
The massage was really great. She has a different style than any other massage I've had, but it was amazing. She has a very nurturing and healing touch, And usually you can get a sense of the personality and mood of a massage therapist pretty easily through he way they massage you. I'm a empath so I always pick up on other peoples energy by no choice of my own. I generally mirror my mood based on what energy The people or person I am in contact with at that time. I have a good feeling that she is also somewhat of an empath because I felt as though she was actually trying to push her calm and relaxing energy into my spirit. Needless to say, I was very happy with the treatment. Next time though I think I will get deep tissue. I don't usually but I have a feeling she would do an amazing job at that. By the way she was one of the very few massage therapist to actually listened to me. I asked her to concentrate a bit more on my feet and she did. That rarely happens. Usually just goes in one ear and out the other for most massage therapists.
Another thing I was quite surprised about was when I went to check out the bill was I believe $100 for a 50 minute massage. Wow. Not only is this place amazing but also inexpensive!! my local "go to" Senspa in Menlo Park Charges almost double that. And it's further away. But I suppose they can charge more because they do have a whirlpool, sauna, and steam room.
Anyhow, I definitely recommend this place. There are virtually no spas in the east bay that come close.
I will definitely be back!

My husband and kids booked me a spa day here today as a Mothers Day gift. Let me start by saying how cute this place is. There have you fill out an intake form. Right when you go in they help you check in with a robe and slides. The bathrooms are fully stocked with showers, feminine products, shaving creams, anti aging lotions and is just serene.

I was taken to the "calming room" to wait which wasn't long before I was called in for my Swedish massage. It was a full body massage and my masseuse was very attentive to my neck and shoulders (as requested). The pressure she applied was perfect.

After I was taken back to the calming room where I enjoyed refreshments and snacks they also provided comfy seating and a nice fuzzy blanket to keep warm.

I was then called in for my hydra facial. And can I just say I have never had such a relaxing facial before. They exfoliated and massaged my scalp, shoulders, arms and fingers and temples. It was the best way to end my day there. She then added serum, sunscreen and lip balm on me and my face has been glowing ALLL day!

If I have to recommend anything I would say get the hydra facial for sure!!!!

P.S. the whole staff is sweet and very accommodating!

I've been going to Woodhouse Spa for one year and I have loved every experience I've had there. Although it takes time for me, to find the best match therapist/estetician to meet my likings, I've found that every employee at Woodhouse is highly qualified to provide the best services every time, from the hospitality personnel(front desk and spa assistants) to the service providers, to the management team are all very welcoming and professional. I appreciate that they all make my visit to the spa very worthwhile and enjoyable.

DENISE, is very kind and sweet. She treated me and my skin like a precious stone.
JEAN-is very knowledgeable, and gave me the best recommendations for my melasma, she is very educative, and gave me the best forearm massage I've ever had while I was getting my face light therapy.
DANIELLE- My skin was somewhat irritated when I went to this appointment, and she was great. From the inicial assessment to the end she informed me of every product she was using on my skin and explained why. She put me a mask that soothed my irritated skin and my whole treatment was soooo relaxing. She gives the best scalp massage one can imagine!

This was first time I had this treatment and I wasn't feeling too well when I went to this appointment. Carmen seems to read one's body, she did make me feel relaxed and even relieved from all my stress.
I've also had DT and BB massages from Carmen and she is great doing both.

MARY GRACE - She listened to my requests and went far, beyond my expectations. Great arms, pecs, and shoulder massage techniques that I never had before. Overall, one of the best relaxing massages I've had!

I decided to visit Wood house spa today for the first time. had a massage done by Raquel I enjoyed it very much she was kind and made me feel comfortable so I relax. Definitely going back to her again.

I also had a facial done by Veronica another great person I was able to meet today.

I received a gift card for my birthday 6 months ago and my friend raves about this spa! After today I see why! Lovely calming ambiance all around, friendly staff and incredible treatment! I got my first facial from Vanessa and she was spectacular in communicating what she was doing each step of the way. My skin feels so much more youthful after the hydrafacial! The relaxation room is just so peaceful with a delicious assortment of White Lion teas and water. I was so relaxed after my treatment I got myself a cuppa and read for a bit! Checking out, the girls were wonderful and didn't try to sell me on any products, though there is a wide array to choose from in their intake area. Will definitely be back, possibly for a massage next time! Such a wonderful treat from my buddy!!

My first time at Woodhouse and I booked a 50-minute Body Balance massage. My masseuse, Lynn, was wonderful. She spent time talking to me about body work and helped me select the fragrances for my aromatherapy upgrade. I also added the CBD enhancer to my service. This was by far one of the best massages I've ever experienced. I normally only treat myself about once a year to a massage, but I'll be coming back to see Lynn again! The facility is also very nice. Well maintained with nice amenities.

Stopped by last Friday for a 50 min hot stone massage. Massage + hot stone add on + tip = $243.00. Well worth it!

The massage tables are warm, cozy, they have all kinds of comfy pillows! My masseuse was incredible. God bless him. Can't wait to go back.

Imani is great. She makes you feel at ease and is attentive when asking about what your issues are.

The locker room is very tight so when you're trying to change there is someone right on you.

Bianca was the most talented massage therapist ever! The entire experience at WoodHouse Spa was heavenly! My daughter & I went together and had a wonderful time - definitely will return!

What a treat! This location is a gem located in downtown Walnut Creek. Although, parking was a bit confusing at first, the Lesher Center lot is about 2 blocks away. The Spa itself is in a nondescript building and you have to go to the 2nd floor. But once you enter you get a sense of peace. This place truly plays on all of your senses and brings you instant calm. My mom and I both went here today for 110 minute Swedish massages. Roxie did a great job and I felt completely at peace- I tell you this is not easy as I am usually rolling around with my todo list and a burst of anxiety. The woman who did my mom's massage was also exceptional. We loved their calm room with comfortable chairs, blankets, magazines, a fireplace, drinks and snacks. Also the change room/ showers were clean and well stocked. Sad I just learned about it, but we'll surely be back.
