OMGGGG I love this place. I brought my bf here because he's never tried it. We came on a Thursday evening and it was pretty chill. The views are amazing here so we decided to sit outside.
We ordered 2 Beef Noodles, Chicken Wings, and the Mango Sticky Rice ice cream. We loved everything we ordered except the wings, they weren't very salty.
The beef noodles were amazing per usual-we loved how fresh they tasted.
The star of the show was the Mango Sticky Rice ice cream. The flavor is FRESH and to put the cherry on top, the fried bao tasted like heaven (think Texas Roadhouse rolls). I can't wait to come back!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 10, 2023Previous reviewMy friend recommended this spot and it was amazing!!! Parking was a little difficult but it was worth it.
The ambiance is really chill inside but we wanted to sit on the patio to enjoy the cool California weather.
You have to order at the register. The cashiers were super nice and answered all questions we had. We ordered the beef noodles for our entree and bao buns as an appetizer.
The bao buns were delicious and the meat tasted really buttery.
Honestly, the beef noodles tasted so good. We were both starving and we both couldn't finish our food since the portion was pretty large.

Terrific place, with a lovely and cozy ambience and friendly staff.
We got all vegetarian / vegan food.
Fried rice: 5/5 - it was the best fried rice I have had in a long time! Goes great with the chilli oil. Highly recommend!
Vegetarian dumplings: 3.5/5 - the dumplings were good. Had a strong (sesame?) flavor and the sauce was a bit too pungent
Noodles: 4/5 - chewy, flavorful noodles with mushrooms and bok choy
Tofu bao: 5/5 - the pickled cucumber adds a great flavor to it
Overall, loved this place! Definitely worth a visit, especially for the fried rice.
Restroom: all gender, accessible, clean (fun fact: they have a picture of their fried rice even in the restroom! :)
Parking: free spots available in residential areas nearbyHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 4, 20241 check-in
Don't be tricked by the aesthetic interior and late night chinese vibes, this is some of the worst chinese food you'll ever eat.
It's really not repulsive or anything, it's just genuinely not tasty.
Service is order at the front and seat yourself, and theres a small amount of seating. This place really has no business ever being busy tho, so seating isnt an issue.
As for the food,
The scallion pancakes are crazy chewy and don't have any flavor, which is a recurring theme here.
The pork bao are actually very redeeming, incredibly tender and well portioned, with great pickled cucumbers on top.
The beef noodles are HORRIBLE. The noodles are so so chewy, like eating strips cut from a tire. On top of that, theres ZERO flavors despite how dark the noodles are, so just imagine chewing on a diaper or something.
I truly was confused after eating at Woon, so baffled at how its possible to make simple Chinese food this unbelievably unimpressive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 494738Aug 9, 2024
Most of the food was alright, although I felt that I could get better fried rice and scallion pancakes for cheaper. But the standout pork belly bao makes up for the other culinary shortcoming. It was life changing. The pork belly was perfectly cooked with a fall-apart-in-your-mouth texture, and the marinade was impeccable.
The restaurant has a good amount of smaller indoor tables and an outside seating area as well. It has a charming interior with traditional Chinese artwork. It reminds me of a slightly gentrification-core version of the restaurants in Chinatown I grew up in.
The restaurant is counter style but they bring the dishes to your table if you're eating in. The service was adequate and the staff was friendly.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 3, 2024
The pork belly bao is one of my favorite dishes from here! It is flavorful and they put a BIG slice of pork belly in there. The chicken wings have a crispy outside with moist inside and definitely a kick of spice. The scallion pancakes are perfect for sharing. The beef noodles have lots of chunks of meat- I could easily eat more than one bowl!
You order at the counter and the food is brought to the table- service is quick. There is inside and outside seating, the outside patio is dog friendly!
Parking- there's a lot in front with a few spaces or street parking.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 27, 20241 check-in
I had heard great things about Woon, so I was excited to try it during a recent weekend dinner. I entered the bustling restaurant and could tell this was a popular dining spot! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and even though it was busy, I appreciated how the staff person answered my questions about the menu.
I ordered the scallion pancake and beef noodles. While I found the pancake to be tough and not as flaky as I had hoped, I enjoyed the beef noodles. The noodles had a chewy texture that I loved, and the marinated flank steak was flavorful.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 31174400Aug 23, 2024
It was good! Especially the beef noodles, definitely had the wok/fire flavor. The bao was really good too. And the wings! They were so crispy and perfectly seasoned. It did have a little bit of chicken smell (iykyk) but other than that, I would definitely come back to try some of their other menu items.
It does feel like a hole in the wall--in the middle of nowhere though-- but the inside is nice and I like that about this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 29, 2024
I heard sm about Woon and I get it - no misses their portion sizes are small though and a little pricey for what it is we shared this between the two of us - otherwise so good!
Mama's five spice chicken wings ($11)- sooo flavorful and crispy, chicken was also so juicy and tender
Pork belly bao ($8) - one bao for $8 but it was so flavorful and the bun was so soft and chewy, the acidic pickled veggies were a great contrast w the fatty pork belly
Beef noodles ($15) - so delish, thickkkk noodles w great chew and the flavor was so good!

The modernized, casual aesthetic of Woon caught my attention online, because a special ambiance like theirs matters to me. It was a homey, street-like appeal that stood out from the inside out.
The menu looked simple but epic. I tried the popular items like the fried rice, fried chicken wings, fried pork dumplings, and the famous beef noodles. To my surprise, the dishes were very salty and bland. It was lacking a wow factor. I enjoyed the beef noodles, but it tasted like your local chinese takeout. Because of the fusion approach of Woon, I feel like the lack of authenticity in the cuisines they were trying to marry created a confusing food experience. However, the dining experience was spectacular. I was home away from home for a split second. I felt like I entered their family storyline within their home-like layout!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - 23155314Jun 11, 2024
Pretty descent restaurant!
The best thing I had was the pork belly. It was cooked perfectly, both tender and tasty. I didn't really enjoy the beef noodles even though it looked fire. The beef and vegetables were done right, but the noodles lacked the flavor. I think the noodles were too dry and didn't have enough of the beef taste to it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
