Delicious food for a good price.
      My favorites:
      1) Xiao long bao: delicious pork dumplings filled with savory soup

      2) Stir Fried green beans: tender green beans in a garlicky umami sauce

      3) Fish in wine sauce: succulent flaky white fish in savory light sauce. Great with rice

      4) spicy beef with peppers: very flavorful tender beef strips with sliced hot peppers. Lots of flavor and a good amount of oil. Great with rice

      5) Mapo tofu: soft tofu in a spicy gravy-like sauce. Great over rice or on its own

This place is actually so good. Everything we ordered was awesome! My favorites were the spicy peanut sauce wontons, spicy beef cold cuts, sautéed rice cakes (雪菜肉絲炒年糕) and the xiaolongbao. The savory soy milk was okay.

My party of 3 came on a Sunday morning and were seating immediately. It started getting busy during our meal with both dine-in and to-go orders. Service is very speedy! We had easy street parking in the front, not sure if other parking options were available.

We ordered pork soup dumplings, string beans, and silky eggs with shrimp over rice.

Pork soup dumpling was good. Came with 6 pieces and a side dipping sauce. Very flavorful and juicy. I did not need the soy sauce and vinegar dipping sauce.

Dry fried string beans had the right amount of flavors and it was good. Some string beans had the crunchy texture and some were soft.

Ordered silky eggs with shrimp over rice but end up with stir fried eggs with shrimp with a side rice. Very disappointing and not worth the price and will not order this again.

Just ordered from here and the food was pretty tasty! However the customer service is lacking a bit. I ordered 4 items and hands down the best item I had was the pan fried pork buns. They were made fresh and came out full of flavor. I do wish they had provided some sort of sauce though. U was disappointed in the fact that I ordered some shrimp dumplings and they only gave me half the amount of dumplings listed, when I asked if they can fix it they refused which was strange and a little upsetting in the fact they didn't want to make it right. Overall I might give them another chance but I won't be going out of my way as there are other better options out there.

Unassuming Chinese restaurant in downtown San Leandro with good food. There was a good amount of people here on a Friday night. Service is more of you need to ask if you want to give your order, or if you really need anything. There is only one busboy who also takes orders, puts the orders in and brings out the food. He does it all and definitely needs a raise.

Ordered the salt and pepper pork chop, cold sesame noodle, Yangzhou fried rice, crab xiao long bao, pork xiao long bao, green onion pancake, string beans, and fried chicken wings. Portions were decent and food came out quick. Green beans were the tastiest dish of them all.

Only street parking is available. Would come back if I was already in the area.

Good prices for the amount of food you get! Service is like your typical Asian family owned restaurant, it's not top tiered but it wasn't bad either. Good XLBs, their salted pork fried rice was good, I love me a good o westlake egg drop soup, a lot of items to choose from and has condiments on the table for you. Love when restaurants have that, saves me the time to have to ask them for some!

Nestled in downtown San Leandro, Xiang Yuen Xiao Long Bao beckons with an irresistible array of Chinese culinary treasures. Boasting street parking this restaurant exudes a restaurant with family run charm from the moment you step inside.

One of the standout features of Xiang Yuen is its extensive menu but visiting there our first time, we went with the most popular items starting with their beef noodle soup, a hearty and flavorful option that satisfies with every spoonful. The beef was soft and tender. We went with mild and it was prepared that way.

However, the true stars of the menu are the Shanghai pork xiao long bao and the crab meat xiao long bao. These delicate soup dumplings are a testament to the culinary craftsmanship of their chefs. Bursting with savory broth and tender filling, each Xiao Long Bao is a symphony of flavors that delights the senses. As the weather was cool, these warmed us up.

Our final items was the pan-fried buns. These were golden brown and perfectly crispy on the outside, yet soft and savory on the inside, they were delightful.

Service at Xiang Yuen Xiao Long Bao was great as we were promptly seated and the food arrived quickly. Xiang Yuen Xiao Long Bao is a must try for their soup dumplings.

We love this place! Best dumplings in town. Other dishes are excellent as well. We usually do take out but it's extra nice to dine in. Reasonable prices, too. Yum!

What a bush and popular place with families of all ethnicities including Asian! The young server was very busy taking orders at tables and over the phone!

Finally got a chance to try this restaurant. The dishes are all decent. The meats in the baos were both tasty. The string beans were nicely cooked. All were fine but maybe I had higher expectations.

It's very popular so support local!
