Yangon is so good! I was looking for more restaurants to try out in the Broadway, Burlingame area and I saw all the positive reviews for this family owned restaurant so I had to try it out. I enjoy Burmese/Chinese food a lot so I was excited and I can see why people like this spot. The owners are very friendly and provide great service and the inside is also very comfortable.

They have a lunch special menu that they serve from 11:30am - 3pm on weekdays. They consist of a main entreee with a mango salad and rice (if it's not a noodle dish). It costs $15.50 in total for the lunch special which is nice value for the amount of food you get.

What my table and I ordered:
      - Cashew Chicken
      - Singapore Noodles

Starting off with the mango salad, the lunch special variation is smaller than normal, but it was still pretty refreshing and all the ingredients you could tell are fresh.

I got myself the Cashew Chicken and it was really good. The cashews add a nice crunch. The zucchini was cooked perfectly and not bitter at all. The chicken was so juicy and moist. It just melted in your mouth. I also opted for the coconut rice for a slight extra charge and it is worth it because that little bit of sweetness of the rice helps balance out the savory flavors.

The Singapore Noodles here I also feel they do it better than a lot of places I have been to. It was savory, but some places make them overly salty. I wish there was a little more shrimp although overall was still a tasty dish.

I'd come back here again for sure.

I ordered the okra chicken which is a Burmese dish. I ordered it spicier than normal and it was spiced just right. I also ordered the fried rice and that was very tasty as well.
The service was spot on attentive but not too attentive.
I believe I spoke to the owner and he was very friendly.
One item I did not try but would like to the next time would be the tea leaf salad.

Had a nice casual dinner here. Tried the Burmese dishes and started with the palatha, which is a fried type of bread with a wonderful sweet sauce. The lamb stew with a side of rice was delicious and tender. Definitely try those two. Also had the garlic noodles with pork. That one was ok I probably wouldn't get it again.

Service is great they are nice and attentive. Not too expensive either so u would definitely go back.

We came here after an airport run. We got here about 8:30 and they close at 9:00, but they welcomed us and assured us there was time to make us anything we would like from the menu. Needless to say, the service and ambiance was warm and welcoming.

We chose this place because it was highly rated on Yelp. For a small restaurant, the menu was quite extensive with lots of interesting dishes to choose from. I wish I had been more hungry because everything on the menu seemed so interesting and delicious to order but we only wanted a light meal since we had just come from the airport.

We got their signature tea leaf salad which is one of the best ones I have had! The freshly grated cabbages, fermented tea leaves, fried garlic, peanuts, sesame and sunflower seeds and whatever their dressing was, was so refreshing and crunchy. We also had the fried chicken wings which were plump, juicy, and crispy. I also had a mango lassi drink which was delicious and you can taste that the mango was freshly blended .

I would love to come here again after the next airport run to try the other things!

Our family went in to Yangon for lunch today and were blown away by how good the food was. Far and away, we think Yangon has the best value for Burmese food in the Peninsula. We ended up ordering the tea leaf salad (4/5), crispy wings (5/5), crab and cheese puffs (5/5), chicken biryani (5/5), mongolian beef (4.5/5) burmese chow fun (5/5), and desert palatha with ice cream (5/5) which the kind owner gave to us on the house. All of the above dishes were amazing and the bill total was $105.46.

We have been here twice and it is a mystery of life why this place isn't packed with a line out the door for lunches and dinners. Other Burmese restaurants charge double what Yangon charges and that their food isn't as good. My advice is to enjoy getting a seat while you can.

My family of 4 have eaten here several times and the food is consistently good. We love the tea leaf salad, vegetable tofu kebat, coconut rice, and hot and sour soup. Several of my family members also ordered chicken or beef dishes which were prepared very well and delicious. The staff are very kind and attentive. Highly recommend!

There aren't a ton of restaurants in Burlingame that appeal to me but when I saw Yangon in my yelp feed, the garlic noodles looked especially yummy. I made a detour for dinner and go the garlic noodles with bbq pork. I was served relatively quickly and both quality and quantity were solid. I think it was a bit too oily for my tummy though.

We order take out from this restaurant often and it's one of the few that consistently has good quality food. It's never too salty or greasy and they have a nice variety of vegetables they use in their dishes. It's a couple of dollars more than similar places but I think it's worth it.

I had to give this place 4 stars solely because I haven't been in the actual restaurant to know what the ambiance or set up is like. And even though we ordered through DoorDash , the food arrived pretty quickly and service was prompt. We had the orange chicken, chicken fried rice and chicken potstickers. Everything was very delicious. They've certainly earned another customer in me.
