Our party of 5 greatly enjoyed our last visit. We had:
andaman seafood (I think) - consisted of scallops, mussels, and shrimp with a yummy thai dipping sauce
three taste fish with whole red snapper - unanimously our favorite dish of the meal
panang fish - curry flavoring
pad thai - a little too sweet but still enjoyable
Service was once again great!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 1, 2019Previous reviewFood was a little more disappointing the 2nd time around, but service was once again outstanding.
Three taste fried fish -- a whole fried fish, smothered in a sweet Thai chili sauce. The sauce was much too sweet. Not enough tamarind to balance.
Uni pasta -- basically, pasta in an alfredo-like white sauce garnished with 1 uni and some fish roe. While the pasta was good, to call it "uni pasta" was, I felt, complete mis-advertising. There was zero uni flavor in the sauce. Definitely not worth the $26 price tag. This is really the only reason for the minus 1 star.
Super papaya salad - a little shredded green papaya with lettuce and a generous side portion of Thai sausage and fried bits of pork belly. The papaya salad itself was disappointing. The dressing is what generally makes the papaya salad and this dressing lacked balance. Like it was missing the tart/tangy. BUT the fried pork bits were delicious and the Thai sausage turned out to be the item I enjoyed most out of the entire meal. The sausage had a little big of acidic kick that gave it the balance that seemed to be missing from so much of our meal. Would def order the sausage again.
Our server was once again, super friendly and attentive. You don't really experience that type of congeniality often anymore. Although some dishes may be misses for us, I've come to associate this restaurant with happy service and that makes me want to keep coming back.Jul 4, 2019Previous reviewThai food in WC has generally been pretty sad. So many Thai restaurants here and more keep opening up, yet they all offer only the most boring, typical Americanized Thai dishes imaginable. DH and I used to love Thai food before moving here a few years ago, but we pretty much gave it up after constantly being disappointed by the lackluster choices.
When we saw this new Thai / Japanese restaurant open up, we immediately blew it off. We've been to too many Japanese-combined-with-something-else places before, all of them mediocre. And whoop-de-doo, yet another Americanized Thai restaurant. Or so we thought.
And I'm happy to say we were wrong! After looking over their menu on yelp, I was amazed at the interesting variety of Thai dishes available -- dishes that none of the other dozen+ Thai restaurants around here offer.
So we immediately hightailed it over there. The restaurant is beautiful and ginormous, and the service we received was impeccable. We had:
Ginger fish (it's #26 on the menu and is listed with a Thai name but this is what we know it as) - a whole red snapper (bones, head, tail and all), deep fried, topped with some ginger and ground pork. We used to order this dish all the time back when we lived in Antioch (where their single Thai restaurant knocked all the WC ones out of the park), and missed it so much. I was so thrilled it was offered here.
It's a big fish, enough for 3-4 people. Listed as "market price" it came to be about $30.
Tiger Tear Beef -- sounds much more interesting than it is. Basically, a modest slab of sliced grilled NY steak served over steamed veggies. We were hoping for something more exciting, but the steak was cooked to perfection. Tender and flavorful with a nice but not overwhelming char flavor.
Pad See Ew - ok, this is one of those typical boring Thai dishes I was complaining about, but I still love it. It actually came out super salty, to the point it was inedible for me. When I mentioned it to our server (who was awesome!), she took it back, said there was something wrong if it was that salty and had the chef make us a new one. The replacement was delicious.
Mango & sweet rice - what you'd expect, although the mango slices were on the smaller side.
DH & I spent about $70, stuffed ourselves to near bursting and took home enough leftovers to stuff ourselves again.
I am so excited that FINALLY there's a Thai restaurant here that offers something other than Thai "fast food." This was a great meal and great service. We will absolutely be back! - 10830091May 13, 2024
I don't usually enjoy Asian fusion spots but I've been to this spot multiple times while randomly in the area & they have yet to disappoint.
I've tried both foods from their Thai and Japanese menus & enjoyed both. I hella love Thai food but my man doesn't want it as often as I do so coming here actually is a win for both of us.
He enjoys the poke bowl because the fish is fresh, although we wish there were more toppings/sauce options and that they mixed it with the fish like other poke spots. I tried their tofu special the other day & had to order some to go cus it was that good. Crispy outside, soft inside & full of that salt & pepper flavor. The lunch bentos were perfect for takeout when my mom & I had to rush out before an appointment & they were packaged well. My husband & I also enjoyed the happy hour menu. The crab puffs were hittin the spot, I wasn't hella in love with the lemongrass beef and I wish the karaage came with an aioli instead of teriyaki sauce.
I'll be back! Can't wait to try more food on the menu!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 185192857Mar 15, 2024
Restaurant was very welcoming. Half Empty but great servers.
We ordered Calamari, Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. Every dish was enjoyable. Calamari was cooked perfectly. Yellow curry was tasty and not too spicy for my liking. Pad Thai was a little bit different it was pale but very delicious!
We received a complimentary of california roll which was really great! Happy Tummy!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sandy N.Vallejo, CA03Aug 23, 2024
I came here for a to go order on a Friday afternoon. First time trying out this place and it did not disappoint! I got their lunch special yellow chicken curry and it's literally one of the BEST I've ever had. The spices and everything just come together wonderfully & it's simply amazing. I will definitely be coming back for it again & to try other items

I like this place, I really do. I always have, but I'm sitting here waiting for my check and I've been walked by and ignored when I tried to get someones attention for the last 20mins.. OH she JUST Picked it up, cool.
I don't like writing bad reviews, so I'll talk about the food for a bit. The lunch menu is great. They have so many great options and its very filling, no portion is too small that you won't find yourself full. Soup and Salad come with each lunch option, but keep in mind there are no substitutions on the specials! There's plenty of amazing seating and I love the decorations here, its honestly beautiful. It's a great spot for lunch or dinner with various levels of spices but they're usually hesitant on upping the spice unless you push. nbd.
Today I noticed a group of 4 who seemed to have had a relationship with the staff of some sort walked in and the minute they walked in my server literally walked away from me mid sentence to attend to them, from there all her attention went to these 4 as I sat waiting and attempting to get her attention. Even once she dropped off my tab it was quick just so she can tend to the 4. Cool, you wanna help your homies, totally fine... but like, don't completely ignore me
Anyway, food is good I can't justify a 5er though because this was a bit rude, so come and eat here and hope this particular group of 4 aren't in attendance at the same time.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 25, 2023Updated review
Came in for quick Friday grab and go, and I got slightly disappointed of the food quality. Ramen soup was just a bowl of thick, semi cooked noodles with a few slices of pork belly. Thai Tani sampler turned out to be deep-fried (spring rolls and crab pockets) platter with a bit on the dryer side chicken kebabs. The saver was "911 Rolls" requested and personalized by assumed owner or manager of the place.
Overall design seemed a bit cluttered with authentic pieces, being chaotically installed all over the restaurant. We had four different servers coming and taking the order, delivering the food and coming for the orders again. Turned out to be a little messy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Oct 19, 2021Previous reviewPleasantly surprised to this new finding at the favorite Orchards At Walnut Creek place.
Excellent Thai and Japanese cuisine, warm and friendly hospitality, authentic theme throughout the restaurant will make your evening complete.
Two menus of different cuisine will be at your table providing best quality, fresh, deliciously prepared food. Anything your heart desire from appetizers to desserts will be each sides of the menus. Would highly recommend my favorite Tom Ka (Thai coconut soup) and Sushi Sashimi plate to have a taste of all of it.
Don't forget to pay attention to the design and deco details.
Thank you for the pleasant evening and hope to see you soon again. - Eloisa L.Union City, CA1315Jul 27, 2024
Good food, great customer service, place has plenty of parking and it's free. Ambiance is great specially for family and friends get together. I love the pad thai, pad see ew and the egg omelet. Only reason I'm giving it a 4 star and not 5 since some dishes that we ordered are just okay (not authentic thai). Overall I recommend this place.

The restaurant was not busy at all on a nice Sunday afternoon. We were greeted and seated very promptly. Service was great!
The menu is huge. This place is great when you don't know if you want Japanese or Thai. We ordered from both menus and loved everything. The sushi rice was not too sticky or hard which we've run into a lot. Can't wait to come back and try their happy hour.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - George S.Pittsburg, CA1423032098Jan 19, 2024
This place is pretty good. The overall decor is quite nice with the combination of Japanese and Thailand works. Service is great too. There's a combination of Japanese and Thai cruise available here, both of which are quite good. Parking appears to be plentiful, but on busy nights it's pretty packed and the spaces are a tad bit too narrow.
Took a few shots of the cuisine we had here. Plan on coming back soon.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 17, 2023
Been dying to try this for a while and it did not disappoint. The spicy tuna roll was fresh and spicy. The chicken karaage was crispy without being greasy. The pad see-ew with beef was tender and full of flavor. We also had the tempura cheesecake which was rich and decadent. Green tea ice cream was the perfect complement.
Service was prompt and they kept checking up on us. Great experience overall with plenty of leftovers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1
