Yua Japanese Bistro

We ordered 2 of their lunch specials to go on our last day in Victoria and although we got them for take out, they were packed beautifully!

Chicken Bento Box - a huge variety in this lunch special that including aburi, nigiri, sashimi, 2 pieces california roll, tempura and of course chicken teriyaki! I loved how this box had a little bit of everything and everything was super tasty too!

Sushi and Sashimi Teishoku - very similar to the lunch box but with gyoza instead of aburi and sashimi as the main dish. Again, beautiful presentation that came with a small salad. All of the food was very tasty and I wouldn't hesitate to return again!

Ordered the Hawaiian poke bowl for lunch; the display of food is a feast for the eyes; also tasted very good. Great service and hip ambience.

Everything was great when we had dinner at Yua Bistro. The hosts welcomed us and quickly assigned us a table, which was very good. Wonderful atmosphere. I like how inviting and delightful it is. The hosts offered outstanding service. We shared the miso soup, teriyaki tempeh, veggie gyoza, sashimi, and the salmon aburi oshi, which were all terrific. All of the flavour were outstanding. We'll come back to try some of their other dishes. Highly recommended

Delicious! Great selection of food, lots of vegetarian options. The interior is so cool and well decorated. Staff were lovely.

Love the ambiance. Stained glass pendant lights and clean lines give this boutique-style restaurant a romantic quality. The service was perfect and the food was yummy. The flavor of the the veggie soba yaki was different and one of the best flavors my husband has ever tasted. I loved the pork ramen dish. Prices were very reasonable.

LOVE this place! Solid Japanese food, we came twice and thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered.

The best sushi and Japanese in Victoria! The storefront is subtle but the inside is hip, warm, and welcoming. Not the cleanest presentation but the flavours are excellent and expertly chosen. We got the salmon aburi, korokke cream cheese roll, veggie gyoza, agedashi tofu, salmon avocado roll, and unagi roll - every dish was delightful and delicious. I look forward to having a new favourite Japanese restaurant to go to in Victoria. Their lunch combos and happy hour menu from 2-5PM are great deals!

Would recommend:
The pork tenderloin oju box is beautifully plated, a lot of variety (aburi, roll, tempura, sashimi, meat and rice). Pick this if you want to try a bit of everything.

So so:
-Aburi fukumaki, nothing too special. Regular Maki.
-Nigiri oju box. Don't even know what to say, nothing special.

Would not recommend:
Nanban chicken. Chicken was crispy, sauce was flavorless.

Simply amazing. A patient recommended this to me and I thought it would be good, but I had no idea it would be THIS good. The staff was really friendly and accommodating of our little boy. The food was not cheap, but for what you get, it's still a really good value.

This is as good as any sushi I've ever had. Aside from CôDung in Nürnberg, this is my new favorite place. I'm tempted to make another trip back to Victoria just to eat here and finally try Blue Fox.

Cute restaurant. The sushi rolls were actually quite unique and clean . We are plant based and it's hard to find a place that has vegan and not like everyone else. Must try .
Funny the table next to us got their meals and they all We heard was "oh lala, c'est bon" on the the bento boxes. So I'm sure the boxes were impressive
