Melecio and his crew did a great job! They updated my landscaping with fresh soil, an irrigation system, new plants and mulch. We used some extra pavers and Melecio upgraded the patio area with a pavers that just look great. The fence was old and needed repair. They built a new retaining wall, added posts and fencing for a fantastic stronger and more modern looking fence. They also helped upgrade some previous work on my artificial turf in the back yard, reinforced some hardscaping and replaced the irrigation system.
Melecio and his crew showed up on time, completed the work as scheduled, cleaned up the work area every day, and worked very efficiently. Melecio kept the crew busy and provided guidance on a very high standard of work. Everything, down to the last detail, was taken care of.
His estimates are fair and reasonable. I just could not have asked for more!

We have had an excellent experience working with this company. This is the third landscaping company we have worked with over our 4 years living here in San Mateo and we could not be happier.

There are 3 big projects for which we contracted with Zarco Landscaping, because they continually performed above and beyond on the work.

The first project was for a room that would flood when it rains. The team at Zarco quickly diagnosed the problem as poor gutter placement and cracks in concrete on the floor above, and they worked rapidly to connect a new sewer system and rebuild our concrete walkway. There has been no more flooding.

The second project was to improve the terrain and usability of our backyard, which is on a hill that was very difficult to navigate. The Zarco team completely transformed the area, building stone steps and leveling the land with premium soil, mulch, and stone. Please see the attached photos (we wish we had before pictures, but it was all dirt and invasive plants before on a steep incline)!

Lastly, our third project had to be done rapidly after the recent storms in the bay area. We needed three very large and dead trees removed that were at risk of falling on our house or the street. The Zarco team came the next day to remove all of the trees.

Overall, the Zarco team has always delivered amazing service and treated us with respect. The prices are also very reasonable and competitive with quotes we received from other businesses. If you live in San Mateo or the Bay Area, we strongly recommend calling Zarco Landscaping for all of your outdoor needs!

Absolutely amazing experience that we had from everyone on the team. I was able to work with Zarco in establishing a plan for everything that we wanted to do and everything was executed as fast as possible. I appreciate the level of detail at every step of the process for bringing our backyard to life. All the recommendations that were added also made the yard look better along the way too. Irrigation was also added to the backyard, so no longer need to worry about watering everywhere manually. Our project was scoped out within a day, and the overall project time took about 10-14 days. Melacio and his team are excellent. We hired them for a cleanup, landscaping renewal, and irrigation system installation and repair. They did a really good job. Melacio is responsive and will make every effort to make sure that you are happy with the outcome of his team's finished product.

We had Melecio and his team remove dirt/trees, install concrete, put up a new fence and assemble/put up a large pergola. They were hard working, professional, clean and did a great job. Would recommend to friends!

I have worked with Zarco to trim trees and bushes and they did a great job. They new exactly what to trim back and educated me along the way.

Zarco was responsive as long as he believes he can make a quick buck. However, as soon as you ask him to fix an issue caused by his earlier work, he becomes extremely difficult to get a hold off and will try everything to charge extras for it.

We had Zarco re-install part of our sprinkler system. He guarantees parts and labor for a year. In less than a year, a sprinkler hose that connected to the water main cracked, resulting in a big leak. Zarco promised to come next morning. Next morning, no show. After a few calls and text messages, he finally came in late afternoon. After looking at the problem, Zarco said this issue is definitely covered by his warrantee and will come back on Monday to fix it. Monday, no show again. More calls and text messages. Finally, he showed up on Weds. After replacing the connector, Zarco changed his story, backing out his work warrantee and wanting to charge us $250 for it.

These actions indicates that Zarco lacks integrity. His work is not dependable. Simply, I will never do business with this shady business again!

Zarco's service is wonderful! He's friendly, professional and competitive in pricing. He's very easy to work with and helped me with extra things. His work is of good quality. I even asked him to come and make some corrections, and he happily obliged. Highly recommended!

Melecio was the best person we could have called. From the moment I called him, he was available to come see my irrigation problem that same day. He came and diagnosed the problem (for free), gave me an honest and reasonable estimate and then came the very next morning. Right on time! The problem was easy for him to fix and because he is an honest, kind, genuine person, he cut his estimate in half since it took him less time to fix the issue. This shows the honest person he is.
