George’s 5-star review: I've written reviews for a few other car-related businesses on yelp and I always say the same thing (in one way or another)...I don't know a damn thing about cars! That being said, I came to this Jiffy Lube because I needed an oil change (which was LONG overdue), and I happen to have a coupon. So here's the thing...I used to get my car serviced pretty regularly, but I haven't in awhile (shame on me), so when I came in here I was fully expecting to get a laundry list of things that were wrong with my car (that's what these places usually do) and sure it enough there was. Except for one thing I decided to get everything done they recommended (a couple filters and an AC service amongst other things...my AC really had been working like crap and when I turn it on full blast now I might as well be in Siberia). Altogether these issues were pretty minor and the cost of everything didn't break the bank (it didn't cost me anymore than it would have to get my car serviced at the dealership). The guy helping me explained things in detail, showed me the old parts, and I really did trust what he was saying as a result. Everyone who I encountered/dealt with at this Jiffy Lube was EXTREMELY friendly. A couple of guys who I didn't even deal with while I was there thanked me for my business as I was driving away! On top of that, these guys are fast! I was in and out in about 30-35 minutes! I'll be back the next time I need an oil change (I have plenty of coupons). Ohhh...one other thing. I'm not sure what the deal was with this (maybe it's a regular thing on the weekends...or at least on Sat?), but they were serving up free hot dogs, hot links, sodas, water, and Gatorade the day I was there! -
George’s 5-star review: I woke up to a flat tire yesterday (there was a nail in it). AAA came out and changed it, and during my lunch hour at work I went on yelp to find a place to go and fix it the next day. Robert's had excellent reviews so I figured "Sure, why not?" I gave them a call and I was told to come in about 7:45 in the morning and they'd have me out the door in 30 min. I did just that and they had me out the door at 8:10. It only cost me $28 (parts & labor) to have my tire fixed. Yeah Robert's Tires & Wheels!!! -

George’s 5-star review: I actually searched "AAA roadside assistance," since that's what I wanted to review, but Fleming's was the first place that came up, and coincidentally they're the ones that came out when I called AAA. I had a pretty minor experience with this company, but it was positive nonetheless, so why not give it a (positive) review! Anyway, I was in a Starbucks for about an hour, came back, my car wouldn't start. I figured it was my battery, but instead of checking to see what the problem might be (open door, lights left on, etc...) I just immediately called AAA. They told me they'd have someone out in about 35 min. A couple minutes later I realized I had left my headlights on and it probably was the battery that was dead *face palm* Well, Flemings was out in about 15 min, and the car was jump-started about 2-3 minutes later. I like these people. They were quick and had me on my way... -
George’s 5-star review: I'm not sure which AAA in SF I should be writing this review under, but sure I'll go with this one. I just had roadside assistance change a flat tire (and by roadside assistance I mean in front of my house because I was dressed for work and didn't want to get dirty. Oh, who am I kidding, I've never changed a flat tire in my life and wasn't about to learn now!!!). Anyway, they were at my house in less than five minutes and the flat was changed about 5 minutes later. Awesome!!! The guy who changed my flat (I wish I caught his name) was very professional and got me on my way. Thanks AAA!!! -
George’s 4-star review: This was the first time I needed an oil change since moving to SF where I didn't need to get anything else done on my car (not that I'm complaining), so decided to go someplace other than a dealership. When I used to get oil changes when I lived in AZ there were several places that did it for under 20 bucks so I was a little shocked to find that this was pretty much impossible to find up here (about $40 is what I found to be standard). I saw this place had a $25 coupon on yelp so I decided to give it a try. So here's the deal. I kind of wanna give this place only three stars, but at the end of the day they were quick and with the coupon they were cheap (interestingly though the coupon I had was good until the end of the month and here I am writing this review eight days before it expires and I noticed they've pulled the coupon from yelp...weird). I actually called this place on a Friday and I asked if I could come in around 5 o'clock that day and they told me "no problem," but when I got there, they told me they were too backed up. I didn't complain though. I figured I'd come back the following week. I called again the following Wednesday (told them the same time, got the same "no problem" response), but when I got there I got the same "we're backed up" answer. However, before I said anything, one of the employees said he'd squeeze me in. Great. I was told it would be about 30-35 min., which was fine. They don't have any sort of waiting area, so I just went to a coffee shop down the street, and came back a little over 20 min later and my car was finished. I paid, and left. No problems. If this place had another coupon I'd come back (I'm not sure what the regular price is for an oil change), but honestly if a place close to my house did oil changes at the same price, I'd probably just go there, because I don't live all that close to the Sunset. If I did live in the Sunset, I'd have no problem coming back here though. -
George’s 3-star review: I'll be kind with this review because 1) I don't know a thing about cars, so that probably didn't help with my experience here, and 2) Although the employee who was helping me didn't really know what she was talking about she was nice at least... Anyways, I came here for a new brake light. Honestly, I don't know shit about cars. I unscrewed the two lights on the back of the car (one being the brake light the other being my turn signal light...I didn't know which was which), and brought them into the store. I honestly didn't even realize the two lights were different, and neither did the employee...who works in a store that sells auto parts...who I specifically told I needed a BRAKE light. Of course she sold me the turn signal light. I attempted to change the light in the store's garage (it's nice that this place has it's own parking garage), but things weren't working. Anyways, after a few minutes I went back in the store and explained my situation to the same employee. She pretty much just shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know what the problem was. Well, I live about five minutes from the store so I just went home and I figured I'd go to another store the next morning and get things figured out. When I got home I decided to fool around with the light again and finally realized that the brake light & turn signal bulbs are shaped differently (it's a slight difference) and I was sold the wrong light. I went back to the store, found the same employee, and was given the right light. She laughed about it. Honestly, I didn't mind the mistake, and I have no problem admitting that I'm an idiot when it comes to cars. The main beef I had with this place was there apathetic attitude when I originally told them I couldn't figure out the problem with the original light they had sold me (especially since the store was pretty empty when I was there). If you know exactly what you need for your car and really don't need advice this place is fine. It does have it's own parking garage, which is nice. When I explained my situation to one of my roommates she said she goes to the Kragen in the Mission, and they've always been helpful. So if you're an idiot like me when it comes to cars and need to be babied, you should go to that location...
