Limuel’s 5-star review: Welcome to baseball's perfect address 24 Willie Mays Plaza. This place is home to me, so why wouldn't this be one of my first reviews. As a season ticket holder for many years there is so much to this park to love; from the architecture, to the beautiful waterfront location, and the mixture of old school to modern design. I've been to more than 1/3 of MLB's baseball's ballparks and this stands at #1(biased and unbiased rank.) You can't beat what this ballpark has to offer its visitors and their Giant's fans. Seats: You can sit anywhere in this park and the view is absolutely stunning. It is simply a dream to watch the Giants play baseball at this beautiful park. Perfect for overlooking the field of play where there are hardly any blind spots. Look over McCovey Cove and you get a view that over looks the bay with boats and kayakers that wait for a homerun ball to sail over Levi's Landing. Take a view reserve seat over the first baseline and get a spectacular view of the bay bridge. Food: Probably thee best in all of baseball. First timers have to try the signature garlic fries, especially from the club level where the garlic is at its freshest. There is such a vast selection of gourmet food, drinks, dessert and beer that I'm going to leave it up to you to try anything and be pleased. Parking and Transportation: This park is easily accessible, many places say you can get to the park by car or bus, but how many ballparks can say you can get to the park by train or boat as well, even bikers have a place for storage. I rarely ever have to worry about traffic because of the various modes of transportation fans take to the park. Atmosphere: Another one of the best in baseball, our fans love our team and the loyalty shows. Fans show great appreciation for great plays and it's rich history. The orange and black show up, sell out the stands, dress up in Giants paraphernalia, and go all out until the last out. Even if your not a baseball fan you can find something to love about the park. There is so much to do and always something to cheer about, fans and visitors go home happy. It's Giants baseball what more can you ask for. -
Limuel’s 5-star review: If Chapeau! means wow, then double Chapeau! indeed. I was completely blown away from the excellent service and delicious food this restaurant provided. I tried to reserve a table on open table but the place was fully booked for the night, so my group took a chance to call the restaurant to see if they could squeeze us in at our desired time, and just like that, we were booked with no problems. Upon arrival we were greeted by the restaurant owner who welcomed us in with a firm handshake and seated us at our table, our jackets were taken to be hung and water and bread were brought out to start us off. I started my night with the very creamy chestnut soup that was nicely drizzled in truffle oil, duck fat and garlic. Wow, what a way to start off my night, I was already in heaven. For the entree, bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, is there a better way to tenderize pork than to wrap it in bacon, one word delicious. Chapeau! did not stop there as they made me a satisfied customer when they completed the trifecta with their dessert, the "Nuage De Noix" made with roasted pistachios, almonds & hazlenuts in a frozen chantilly & Italian meringue, orange soup was simply refreshing. I will definitely be back again to explore more food from this restaurant.

Limuel’s 5-star review: Whenever I see Koja Kitchen it's hard for me to go to any other truck at OTG, this truck is a perfect mix of savory and sweet slapped together between 2 crispy rice buns. The kalbi and the bulgogi are my choices for the burger and you can't go wrong with either selection. If you must choose, get the kalbi because the bulgogi will go on your kamikaze fries that your getting, right? Yes, I just fully endorsed the Kamikaze Combo. Get it! -
Limuel’s 5-star review: Seriously, one of the better food trucks in San Francisco, really sad to see it gone. This truck had the best and most creative food. The corn flake encrusted chicken sandwich was crisp and juicy, mac and cheese rolls were awesome. I won't spend too much on this too little too late review, except that I miss it a lot. At least I have Chef Ryan Scotts restaurant's Market & Rye to fall back on. -
Limuel’s 5-star review: An ice cream shop with unique flavors, count me in. Truly my favorite ice cream shop in the city and no one else can compare. My favorite flavor and probably the most popular; the secret breakfast, a perfect blend of bourbon and corn flakes to give it that crunch that I love. Another favorite of mine is; jesus juice, a blend of red wine and coke. The ice cream flavors here are always changing so its always a thrill to make a trip and find another new flavor that I'll really like. Sure Humphrey's might have a bit of line, but it's no surprise given that they have plenty of outrageous flavors that generate a lot of curiosities. Still its worth the wait. -
Limuel’s 5-star review: The first time I had Pinkberry in Southern California, I had hoped for the bay area to pick up on this phenomenon. The closest yogurt spot that comes close to this place was Jubili(which is closed down now). Finally, after years of imitators of Pinkberry, one has finally sprung up in San Francisco. The only problem is, that it is located in the sterile area of SFO's Terminal 2. Luckily for me, I work inside the terminal and I guess its better than not having Pinkberry in San Francisco at all. Pinkberry's yogurt, compared to other places, doesn't have a dairy after taste that so many imitators have. Nothing against dairy but I'm eating frozen yogurt, not ice cream. I've tried all the flavors and if it's your first time, I think the original is worth trying because it's the flavor I keep coming back for. My other favorites are; pomegranate, mango and watermelon. Just like the original, all these flavors are refreshing in taste. The various selection of toppings are another bonus to adding to the great taste of this frozen yogurt. My personal creation; Captain Crunch, mochi, and kiwi. My only complaint is that although the price seems to be in line with SoCal's Pinkberry, they don't swirl as much portioning of yogurt into the cup. Eh, what are you going to do? It's airport prices. Glad you're here Pinkberry! -
Limuel’s 4-star review: Stopped by here with a friend after "Big Time Timmy Jim" threw in a few good words on an interview I watched, and this place did not disappoint. As I walked in I envisioned a completely different restaurant, you know your typical taqueria. Instead I got a sit down restaurant, dim lights with a huge bar table in place of your typical food station. They start you off with their complimentary chips, crisp and salted perfectly to go with their awesome chunky salsa. I wanted to try all of their tacos, saw 4 for $13 option, but ahhh what the hell, let's order all 8 for $26. Came out to be the best decision because each taco was "the Freak-in-licious." Not a veggie person, but even my least favorite of the bunch, the butternut squash was still tasty. My taco of choice of course is the "chicken en mole colorado," soft tender chicken mole with crumbled cheese on top. Let's not forget the 3 levels of hot sauce with the hottest sauce being a late creeper, you'll see what I'm talking about. In general I can confidently say you won't be disappointed in any taco you really order, trust me I had all 8 on one order so I know. Thanks FreeeaaaKKKKKKK. -
Limuel’s 4-star review: I love this place because of its ambiance, it's one of those hidden gems in the city that I don't really want to write about for fear that it will get over crowded one day. This place is a quiet and spacious and is a perfect place to study or to get work done. This cafe has a lot of character with all of its mismatch chairs and wall art, but what I really love is the selection of games on the shelves provided for customers that have a little more free time on their hands. The drink and food selection is fair, but nothing outstanding, which includes the sweet potato latte. My biggest knock for this place are the high prices. If you're ever there long enough for closing the owner likes to close shop by enlightening his visitors with an excerpt from a book he enjoyed. -
Limuel’s 4-star review: I've been trying to get hyped up on this Ramen trend that everyone seems to be on, but could never find a place that hit the spot like it does for everyone else. That is until now, thank you Dojo for finally showing me what the craze is all about. The broth is spiced perfectly and full of flavor, noodles were excellent, and my bowl was filled with all the other fix-ins. The wait was long and what made it worse was the strong breeze that kept blowing, which made the spicy soup even more rewarding. -
Limuel’s 3-star review: I love this spot because it's unique and far better then Quickly or some other tapioca locations in the city. The boba is fresh and soft which is a major plus when it comes to boba. Any location with tough boba is not worth going back to again. The drinks here come in really large cups which I really like since I always find myself finishing my drinks way too fast. Good luck putting this drink in your cup holder, the cup is that wide. The drinks can also be too sweet, so there is a possibility to overload on too much sugar because if you order the wrong thing. Service is pretty slow and lines can build out the door so prepare for a 30min wait, at least they make up for it with the quality of the product. Order by phone if you find yourself in a hurry. The decor to this place really nice and clean, but also shares a spot with the restaurant next door which makes the place a little odd when you sit all the way in the back. As far as Tapioca locations this is probably the best in the city 2 stars get knocked off because of the sweetness level and the wait time. In addition I've also tried another location in L.A with a very similar presentation and taste of their product called Half and Half and they do it a lot better. Still a great place in the city to go to if your craving tapioca, pudding, jelly drinks. -
Limuel’s 3-star review: Cool little spot that I can't say nothing bad about, I brought a party of 8 with me and they accommodated us really well with a wait that wasn't too long. The service here is excellent as we sat down they served us tea right away and gave us water. I really liked their tea here by the way. On this night, I ate the miso ramen and it was above average, both the broth and noodles were done really well. Unfortunately, when it comes to eating ramen, I really need it to stand out and be more then just packaged soup I can make at home. This is still a good spot to go if you need a quick fix of ramen, but not if your looking for an amazing bowl of soup. -
Limuel’s 3-star review: I still remember the old establishment when I was a little kid and was pretty surprised to find out this is the Mission Chinese that has everyone talking. So I came here to see what all the hype was about, and that's all I felt there was to it, all hype. The food here was good but not worth all the rave reviews it gets as one of the best Chinese food in SF, considering the cliental...Iet's just say I get it. Followed protocol and ordered the popular items especially since I was in a group of 10, I was able to sample a lot of dishes. To name a few, we ordered salted cod, chongqing chicken wings, and kung pao pastrami. All the dishes were full of flavor which I am not mad at. I like my spicy and salty foods, but I felt like a lot of the spices over powered some of the dishes. I love some of the fusion ideas and respect the creativity but I think the dishes can be a little overwhelming when each dish comes out very strong. Good spot, big crowds, and a little pricey for Chinese food, I would come back but not worth going out of my way for. -
Limuel’s 2-star review: Came here to cross another burger joint off my hunt for the city's best burger and what a huge disappointment this place was. I ordered the Western Bacon Blue burger, onion rings and a small drink and boom $20 just like that. I thought to myself, "well, as long as the burger taste good, sure why not." Unfortunately this burger did not live up to the hype. I could taste the burgers potential because the toppings had the right flavor, but the meat quality was just too poor, that there was truly no purpose in me overpaying for something subpar. Maybe I'm just helping pay for the nice spacious and prime location with a great view of the plaza. I also had a few bites of my friends Wisconsin Burger to make sure it was not just my burger I had a problem with, but again the flavor was there except for the poor meat quality. As for the sides of garlic fries, they weren't bad but they also weren't memorable. I will however give kudos to the onion rings which were big and crisp and probably the most enjoyable thing I had that night. I really wanna give this place another shot, but not for $20, $15, or even $10 a burger. -
Limuel’s 2-star review: My friends know I'm on this best burger hunt so he wanted me to come down to hayward to see how this burger ranks. Everything about this place has an old school classic diner feel --old school enough to be cash only too-- and thought that was kinda cool. I know this place is known for their giant burgers but taste and quality is what I'm looking for, so I didn't go extreme to get the papa or mama burger in case I didn't like what I ordered. However, if I did like what I ordered I would have to order another burger. I ordered the baby w/ jack cheese and was not impressed with meat quality. The burger and fries were pretty standard with the toppings and sauces on the side, so you basically construct the burger how you like, the meat quality didn't do anything for me also. What did impress me more was the mint shake I ordered which was thick and creamy. -
Limuel’s 5-star review: When Rodney H. threw a UYE food crawl of his own to celebrate Yelp's 10 year celebration weekend, I was sad that I didn't make it to the Fisherman's Wharf portion of his food crawl knowing Codmother was part of the tour. The next day happened to be the perfect opportunity since we would be in the area after Christine R's UYE: Alcatraz Tour(awesome behind the scenes tour btw.) The Codmother of Fish and Chips had been on my list for some time now and FINALLY it was time to cross this place off my list. The menu is kept pretty simple, throwing different combinations of ways to order fish, shrimp & chips. Of course, we ordered the Fish and Chips combo and after starring at the menu for a while and looking at other people's trays we caved in and returned to the window to upgrade the chips to the crazy fries(baja and garlic.) The ladies at the window had no problem doing a last minute change to the order. They were genuinely nice and that's something I think everyone will notice when they approach the window. Another great example of how awesome customer service goes a long way and leaves a lasting impression for future visits. Since the food is made to order it took a good 15minutes, but well worth the wait. The food was nice and hot and a beautiful golden brown. I dug into my first stick of fish and this strip was larger than normal, after taking one bite you can hear a perfect crunch sound. Honestly, I'm just salivating writing this portion of the review. The crazy fries upgrade was also the right choice, and a good complement to an already good dish of food. I will definitely be coming back here for another round of fish and chips, the only temptation to avoid is caving in from ordering the deep fried snickers/oreos. 2014 #93 of 100 -
Limuel’s 3-star review: Had the opportunity to try Four Barrel Coffee for free and for the first time, thanks to Zagat's #SF30under30. This place has a nice setup from the outdoor street side patio all the way to the inside spacious seating area. I was really surprised at how big this place is, given that this is San Francisco after all and other coffee shops would not be half this size. Hard to imagine this place would ever be short on seats, so good for groups and hanging out, yes. Unfortunately, if you plan on being productive on the computer, this place does not offer any wifi. The entrance is a bit confusing initially when you walk in, first you see the pour over station to your left and then a register in the front serving the usual coffee's, latte's and cappuccino's etc. Since the coffee was free, I decided to try a few things from both sides. I tried an ice coffee black that was a bit weak in flavor, so I tried to save it by adding some sugar and throwing in almond milk that was readily available at the counter. Unfortunately, not much I could do to save it since I didn't want a heavy dose of sugar in my cup. I then tried a cup of cappuccino which I thoroughly enjoyed and if I do another visit, might be something I'd order again. At the pour over station, I asked for a roast that was a bit earthy and nutty, the barista was really friendly and helpful and suggested a particular roast that was specific to my request. The coffee itself was also weak in flavor, can't help but say I was disappointed that a carefully crafted pour over didn't meet my expectation. The thing I noticed from all three drinks was their coffee was not bitter and low on acidity, which was a good thing, but as far as flavor goes it didn't really make me crave more at the end of my visit. As far as strength goes, you would think after having 3 different tastings I would be jacked up on caffeine the rest of the day, but not an ounce of jitter hit me at all. I was glad I got the opportunity to try a new coffee spot and to consider something other than my usual cup of Philz, but I won't be switching blends anytime soon. -
Limuel’s 5-star review: Finally, review #100. On this special occasion, I had to save this review specifically for AT&T Park's Gotham Club. As a long tenured season ticket holder, I've always wondered how AT&T Park can further enhance my baseball experience up another notch, and the opening of Gotham Club for the 2014 season was just the answer. This place is like Disney's Club 33, but for any person that truly appreciates baseball and it's rich history. Gotham Club pays homage to its 1883 New York Gotham roots with that speak easy feel, hidden away from the general public and exclusive to it's members and their guest. First, the Game Room located on the suite level of the park. The front door is inconspicuous, looking like a janitor closet or electrical room with a small insignia marked GC1883. Once you walk in, the narrow hallways lead you two ways; one to the Billiards side, to shoot some pool on its beautiful custom made all black table. There are also a few classic arcade machines along the walls; Galaga, Donkey Kong, Pacman, and Golden Tee Golf. As classic as these games are, I do wish they installed better games that peaked my interest. Walk over across the other side of the hall to the bowling alley where there are two lanes available for play and a dart board tucked away in the corner. My favorite area is the Clubhouse located right behind the actual scoreboard. Just like the suite level entrance the marina entrance is also indistinct, a fully stained glass door with the same insignia of GC 1883. After checking in at the front desk the fun begins. Before running upstairs to the Clubhouse, stop by the Bullpen. Any given game day, if you get to the ballpark early enough, you can catch batting practice in this area located in front of the scoreboard for both the Giants and opposing teams. Bring your glove and catch fly balls that come your way with the possibility of getting an autograph. In every sense of the way, every adult becomes a kid again with this experience. Once this area closes off for the game, this area becomes a viewing spot where you can actually catch the game on field level with a bar conveniently located close by. After catching some batting practice, go upstairs to the Clubhouse for the bar area and restaurant. This is my favorite place to hangout before the game and relax while enjoying the views of McCovey Cove or the outfield. The chairs and couches are comfortable enough that you never want to get up, but who needs to get up when the service staff here are also warm and friendly. I've gotten to know a few of them that recognize me throughout the season and they greet and remember me every time I walk in. Drinks and food are pretty good here --I'd still rather order food at concessions-- with the exception of being a little overpriced even for ballpark standards. One of the more interesting things about Gotham Club is that you can also catch the scoreboard staff changing score panels for active games going on around the league. Gotham Club is truly a unique privilege and experience for any fan, I am glad that we have claim to something that's one of a kind. I can't wait for next season to see what else this park can do for its fans. -
Limuel’s 5-star review: Call it an addiction, but if I know this truck is around, I am there. My friends from San Jose suggested to give this truck a chance, I am forever grateful they did. I've had several items from this truck such as their Poke Bowl, Twin Peaks Slider, Da Situation, and Mama's Lumpia. Everything here is good, but what has me hooked is the bay-rito. The Bay-rito is what it's all about when it comes to Hula. The bay-rito has some of the standard items that come from a mission burrito such as, a flour tortilla, pico de galllo, cheese, and sour cream, and his own special "Hula Verde" sauce, but there are also three other components that truly sets this burrito apart from the rest. First, lets start with the meat selection that can vary on any given night. Since this truck is a spin on Hawaiian, Mexican and Filipino with a "Nor-Cal twist," the meat options are: Lechon Kawali, Kalua Pork, Adobo, and Tocino. Sometimes you will see varying specials that are also must haves such as; loco mocco, garlic shrimp, steak, jalapeno spam, and pork belly to name a few. Kalua pork is always my go-to, since I eat the other Filipino meat options on a regular basis. Second, the tater tots, unlike the Southern California(SD) burrito that puts fries in their burrito which feels like a waste of space and ends up one big pile of mush, there's something nice about having the crispy texture of tater tots in a bay-rito. Lastly, there is a couple of big bottles of homemade Mango Sriracha sauce at the pick-up window that must accompany any Huha truck meal. This sauce is addictive, not over powering, and compliments any item on his menu. My friends and I, also known to Chef Ryan(Hula) as, "The Wet Bandits," always stand by the truck and finish our bay-rito layering every bite with mango sriracha. He's tried to hide the bottle from us a few times only to give it back a minute later. Chef Ryan always greets us and takes time to talk to us every time no matter how busy he is. Love that guy and his food. Next on my list, is to finally try that Adobo Omelet, hopefully I won't get tempted by another bay-rito beforehand. -

Limuel’s 4-star review: I've been to this place twice and both times their services has been great. Making an appointment online was quick and easy, and on top of that they called back to confirm. On my second visit, one of their staff members had an injury, so they asked to reschedule and I was still able to reschedule on the same day with a different time. I also showed up a few minutes late because I was looking for parking but they were very accommodating and we still received a full 60-minute couples massage. Upon entry, the staff greets you with hot tea as they prepare your room and also give you hot tea afterwards. I've had an aromatherapy massage and a hot stone massage and I will recommend the hot stone massage. The rooms are very clean, private, and dimly lit with soothing music which makes for a relaxing session. All of the staff is very polite and they will ask from time to time how the pressure is. I have always walked out of Royal Thai very relaxed and reenergized from a long work week. Next on my to-do list is the traditional thai massage which I hear involves some stretching.
