Crystal’s 4-star review:
Finally, finally, finally, you've opened. I've been waiting, truly stalker like.
Saturday night and the line up was to the door. It moved pretty quick though. While staring at the menu, a friendly guy asked if we needed any help with deconstructing the menu. I think we had it sorted:
Order your large or regular sammie (although they were out of large buns), pick your onions and your cheese - provolone, American, and whiz, of the simulated cheese family. There's also fancier cheesesteak choices, like wagyu. And a vegetarian option that sounded good too - complete with portobello mushrooms. Sides include fries and onion rings, large and small. A large and amazingly crispy and tasty onion rings was just about too much for the two of us.
Together we ordered The Classic, with mushrooms from the regular menu and Le Bifteck with prime rib, brie and arugula from the specialities.
Heaven. I was in love with Le Bifteck.
The doughy bread is easy to bite down on, the cheese was gooey, the balsamic reduction was bold. All in all, a messy adventure. Washed down with R&B Pilsner is the right choice. And the pints are nothing to sneeze at. L-l-l-l-large!
The cashier was sweet and when her eyes lit up with the order of Le Bifteck, I knew I had hit the jackpot. Once we had our beer, and our number, we headed to a table. Our baskets took about 10 minutes to get to our table. The only thing I wished they brought were additional napkins! I could have used a face wash after all of those oozing flavours.
