Guzzly Gulch

I searched in vain for a landmark or centerpiece that could give its name to this last bastion of the SOMA industrial wasteland stretching from 6th down to the Mission-Potrero. But let's be honest: from the dual freeways to the traffic-sewer streets to the mechanics and warehouses, this nabe is San Francisco's offering to the Gods of Happy Motoring (thank you Kunstler). I could name it "Lick Central" after the freeways, but...eww. So Guzzly Gulch it is--I only hope I see the day when it becomes as anachronistic as The Barbary Coast. So why, you ask, is it far and away my largest list? Well, I just so happen to have the honor of working out here...
