Michael’s 4-star review: This is the regular weekday Chinese restaurant that I go to if I need to order take out just chill out for lunch with a coworker! The food here does have that San Francisco Asian American or British Chinese flavor to it. I'm currently in the area now. I love their menu, you have a wide variety of choices of food to satisfy any cravings you want. At one time I tried their chicken wings and the flavors are on point. My favorite is the combo chow mein. It's got a lot of different things in in and you pay a really nice price for the plate of food. There are many branches of this restaurant and each one of them live up to the promise of providing great food at a reasonable price. Drawback: if you want your food delivered and you live more than five blocks, either pay for delivery or drive and find parking nearby. -
Michael’s 3-star review: The last time I took this bus was when I was going to the airshow in SF. Do not make the same mistake I did. This bus is not very efficient because it gets crowded up by people who are laborers when it is rush hour. No offence but when the bus crowds up I do not like it. I even had to wait a long time when coming out of GGP for a work break. By the time the bus got here I was late for work. If you have no car while near 19th street please take the taxi when special events or rush hour come along. You can still hail one down. -
Michael’s 4-star review: I am a Marriott guy but you know what I am making an exception. So yesterday I was deprived of sleep after meeting clients and this place did the trick. I lost a lot of sleep due to loneliness and this place did the trick. This is one of few elite hotels that you find in the city of San Francisco. It's real glamorous and luxurious. I must say if you want to splurge then this is your place. As with this elite hotel I really like this hotel has really spacious rooms. A junior suite is not really that small, so don't get discouraged by the name. The size is like a small startup office. I never had a good nights sleep like this before. Who knew? The sheets are real crisp and the bed is just right. Not too hard and not too soft. Yes, slept nice with my brain clear and free of negativity. Love the workplace in my suite, can get work done in great silence thanks to the walls. Locations great I just check out and drive to work down the street. Drawback: oy I spent over 300 dollars on a junior suite. Price is too much fir a recent college grad. Windows are not soundproof. I could hear a siren and it's still real loud. -
Michael’s 3-star review: So I took this bus today and it was great. Sure I had a hard time looking for the bus stop but the wait was really worth it. If you want to get to Twin Peaks without the hassle of Parking take this bus. It's not too crowded because the majority of people who take this bus are people who are from San Francisco. I could ride it by myself if I could but it's better with friends or family. This bus is pretty fast. If you get to your stop on time then transferring to this bus isn't so bad. I rode the bus with two very knowledgeable and professional bus drivers who are eager to help my family and I by providing info about Twin Peaks and where to get off in case of a transfer to other routes. The bus is fast. Drawbacks: after your hike the bus can be inconvenient because you might have to wait over 10 minutes. Go to Twin Peaks early. If you want to transfer do it early too because the F line is slow most of the time. Read the schedule carefully finding a stop is hard -
Michael’s 5-star review: Double magnifique! J'adore la cuisine française. When you get good benefits there's no better way to spend it at a french restaurant. I haven't eaten good french food since college and for this joint, I'd make an "exceptional" recommendation. I eat a lot and having the right amount of money gets me the right food I need. The price is fair enough and really worth it. I must say the chicken I ordered is delicious and definitely has a great feel to it. I also ordered a seafood dish and it simply just melted in my mouth. This is one of those french restaurants where you should definitely get a glass of wine, champagne or a really fruity drink. They are straight from France. I must say the atmosphere of the restaurant definitely feels like you are either in Provence or in Nice. If you were or still are a french food addict please come. -
Michael’s 5-star review: If you lived in SF or anywhere in the Bay Area then you may have been to the SF zoo at least once. I am not a native of San Francisco but do love the benefits they give to San Francisco natives and anyone who works for Muni/city of San Francisco. If you come here frequently you may notice the zoo is not as big as the San Diego zoo. It's the perfect size and comes with animals that you don't see in regular smaller scale zoos. Once you enter I think you are greeting by a few howler monkeys or something like that because they make a lot of noise. However my review is not for the zoo in general but the eating areas during my lunch break. I loved the small cafe by the miniature railway and the rainforest house. The food they serve makes any work break I have a good one. Good taste and wonderful drinks. -
Michael’s 4-star review: This place seems to be a favorite among locals. I came here twice and was blown away. Most of the staff here is really quick with what you order. Really like how I have to go some stairs to eat at this place. Sam Wo's was closed so I settle here. There is virtually no tourists here, as a a result I feel at home when I eat here. The food is home style in the sense that it is made with local flavors. This place even tastes better than a place call New WLG. Both are underground but this time place is better. I felt like I was eating with college friend rather than my family or co workers because most of the patrons are young. Good for a lunch break if you work in the city. Drawback: the cellular network reception here can be really poor so plan ahead. You will need to wait a while due to the fact it has a local flavor. -
Michael’s 4-star review: Took this bus a few days ago and I must say it ain't bad. Sure this bus goes by Chinatown but it is not so rowdy like the number 30 which totally sucks. It makes me mad when a bus gets really crowded. Best time to ride is when this hidden shuttle that goes by Chinatown is in service. I had to take this bus back to where I work and service is quick and easy. All you do is pay and go till you transfer to another bus. I still love the fact that it goes down streets that you rarely go down if you are not a native to SF. I do agree on this route being very "precious" like a luxury car which also #33 is also the same. Drawback: the frequency of this bus can throw people off so try your best to find this bus if you use it for your commute, if you miss it the worse case scenario is waiting 20+ minutes -
Michael’s 5-star review: Another prestige Muni bus route. Others are 76x, 33 and 1. I have ridden this route many times in my life and I must say it is enjoyable. It is not rowdy but calming. If you want to go to Legion of Honor with that "someone" and hate to find parking this is the way to go. I personally took it with different people I knew and they liked it. If I did not review this line people or just about anybody would not know what Legion of Honor is. The bus is not hard to find and it goes many feet near the ocean. Ocean Beach and the GGP windmill is a few yards from the stop. This bus has not only been a way of life in NorCal but a pop culture icon. It's the charm that keeps me riding it. No crowding or the majority of the time when riding. The drawbacks don't hurt, just be quick. -
Michael’s 4-star review: I recently stayed here after a night shift and really enjoyed it. As a Marriott member I am brand loyal to the places they offer me. I must say this is one of the Residence Inns that is a bit on the high end hence the fact that Palo Alto is a really affluent area. Despite the cost of staying here a one night stay is the best for the night worker or long term business traveler. It's a bit of a long commute from my work to here but after a while a rest here is guaranteed even though you have a hard time sleeping. It's a great place for you to rest and then head back home. The hotel is clean, warm and quiet. If you ignore the cost you can definitely see how much Marriott cares about the quality of its hotels. Drawback: I didn't like the cost to stay here. I think it was over $110 dollars which isn't good for my budget -
Michael’s 4-star review: I ride this bus line a lot when I have to return back to work from a break. It's really frequent so I don't have to worry if I'm late for a shift. This bus line actually runs well into the late night hours. The trip across town is really pleasant because most of the time you see less people riding but more than my favorite bus line. You get great views of San Francisco when riding. There are some key sites that make this line famous such as the Mrs. Doubtfire house. There are shops along the way too. Japantown is along the route with the 2 line. Drawbacks: the equipment on this bus line has not updated which was a problem for me when I first worked or ridden as a passenger on this line. If you ride during the late night hours it can be real tough because most people are either sleeping or drained out. -
Michael’s 4-star review: Oh yes, my go to Caltrain station. I haven't been here for 5 years but I must say it's even better than before. I started becoming a regular on the Caltrain starting from Spring Break and it feels good. Most of the time when I arrive at the station by bus I am the first to arrive. This place is really big and looks very fabulous. Whether I take the bus, Uber or drive myself this is the first thing that comes to mind. I don't have to wait so much after arriving. There are a lot of bus connections here. Once you get off you can get a hot meal at one of the nearby restaurants. Buying my one way ticket is cheaper here because I either go as far as Milbrae or Palo Alto. Come here and save Drawback: I don't like paying for parking if I drive here so I park on Hendy Dr. Clipper cannot be loaded with a debt card which was a issue for me. -
Michael’s 5-star review: There is something about you that attracts me. I came here once during my Spring Break and this station actually rocks. A little bit of a downgrade from Santa Clara but I like it a lot. This station is the heart and soul of anyone that lives in San Mateo county. They got buses here that can take you to any part of the county. From a Santa Clara county person's point of view I come here as a day tourist. This is a great place to get off at if you want some great food. This station is one of the most busiest ones I ever been to. It has been a great long five years since I took the Caltrain and boy did it feel good. If you use the Caltrain to get to work then you can change to a quicker train here. All employees surrounding the area use this station. -
Michael’s 5-star review: This is my go to Caltrain Station on the weekdays after I graduated college. I Before I would usually go to the Diridon station and ride from there. Comparing between the two I like this one. Good for SF workers of any job. It's close to the road I drive on, to many people I know and to SCU. Yes I don't go there but early in the morning when I have a day shift I usually come here. There are many other modes of transport that hail here and it's a nice place for the Bay Area commuter who's a broke college graduate. This station is safe thanks to SCPD and has a nice distraction for the impatient young while waiting for the train. I think it's a model train layout/museum. There's an indoor facility that's well heated if you don't like standing out in the cold. It's nice and clean here too. Drawback: unfortunately there is no baby bullet service but that's okay because limited trains are less crowded than them. -
Michael’s 5-star review: I came here recently during a work break when I was taking people to the SF zoo. I'm not big on gelato but I really think the price is real worth it if you want to try new things. Santa Cruz has Marianne's but SF has this. I like Marco Polo ice cream better than Santa Cruz. First is the pricing, it's real quality that you can taste what you pay for. It's not overpriced like what I see down south. There are many flavors you can choose from that out beat any ice cream joint in the Bay Area. The ones I like have a very sweet taste in my mouth and feels like I actually stepped in Rome of Naples. If you want go take an ice cream break or are looking for a pit stop on for L Taravel line this is your go to spot. Employees and locals all flock here to get the quality ice cream. For once in my life I actually ate something that tastes like licorice -
Michael’s 5-star review: Whoa, thanks for the watermelons today. I must declare I never shop at Whole Foods and for some reason they had a great deal on watermelons. You most certainly can't go wrong if you buy stuff here. Normally I would avoid buying food at a place where millennials splurge but this place is an exception. It's national watermelon day and who knew I'd pick up 2 luscious mini watermelons for $4.99. It's hard to find them at such a price but I got it. This store is smaller than what I find in Santa Clara county but really worth the trip if you work or live in SF. After I brought the watermelons to my work place it was eaten up in a hour by my coworker and I. The watermelons were real juicy and was easy to put into rations once I put it on the countertop. I would come here again because it's convenient and has some good products. That is if I have the right amount of Singapore dollars. -
Michael’s 4-star review: Another work shift another burger. I came here after my day shift ended and I must say for a Ma and Pa burger joint this place really rocks. In this part of SF you get competitive restaurants and fast food places. This is the direct competition to Bill's place. I saw this joint on Check Please Bay Area and decided to drive my car here. It was no doubt the best burger that I had, it exceeded the the standard of food that most San Franciscans see. I love how they have burgers with some pretty out of this world ingredients AKA things you don't see on an In N Out burger. All the vegetables are organic. You can even some nice drinks here. The price is a lot lower than Bill's place but the food quality is the same and it lessens the competition between both places. The service is average but most other customer are SF natives. Thus the atmosphere is real nice. Good for any weekday like lunch! -
Michael’s 4-star review: I used to drive this thing. No seriously I did. Whether I was a passenger or employee I had a love hate relationship with this line. For as long as I lived in the Bay Area the N Line is the first thing I see in SF. It's either this or the T line. I like this line because I get access to the new trams. These trams are really gorgeous and futuristic. They are faster than the regular vehicles that many people are accustomed to. The N line is more of a backroad of SF type of line because it doesn't follow others. More what so ever this tram eventually is full of locals and students from USF during the midday hours. The bad news: despite having new tram vehicles, the seats are not what they are cut out to be. People have a tendency to slide when the tram breaks hard. Configuration is done Asian style (all sideways). Doors do not react well to some situations. -
Michael’s 4-star review: ah yes the good ol #5. I mjust say this bus is less noise when it goes past SFCH. Took this bus with a few friends from San Mateo county and I must say I liked it better because there no crowding willy nilly. It is a great bus on a street that is easy to follow no matter where you go. The crew on this bus is nicer because they are less pressured unlike the Chinatown lines. This bus can be super delay if you miss it. You do not need to worry so much when riding it for any reason. -
Michael’s 2-star review: I really hate cramming into this thing when going to work after a break at In N Out FW. Bus drivers have no respect of for passengers and it is full of PRCs who do low paying jobs, which in reality is not at all. On Saturday's I feel people pushing up against me, which is down right irritating. It is not as good as high speed services Muni provides -
Michael’s 4-star review: I sometimes ride this bus when I go to GGP and I must declare this route is awesome because it is very local unlike some routes which gets overcrowded and noisy. The passengers that ride this bus are normally locals from SF rather than tourists and laborers that pack the bus up. One star down because if you miss the bus it will not come for a long time. -
Michael’s 5-star review: oh Lake Liz how I love thee! Before today I was there for the second time and I must say this place is too good to be at by yourself. If you want to wow someone you like, a girlfriend or boyfriend without wasting money then come here. I really like how it is near the BART station and just a quick bus ride away from SJSU to go here. Be careful where you step but at the same time feel happy that your stress is gone when you come here. I come here before I get to work and the city of Fremont does a good job of keeping this place quiet. A lot of love is put into this place in turn I feel it too. -
Michael’s 3-star review: I was on the 31 yesterday and it was perfect. Normally this bus would be full everyday but if you ride at the later times you won't have to worry about that. It still does not meet that standard of the SBS 132 bus in Singapore but it is fast and has more right of way than any other muni route. By the time you get to the 19th street area of SF, it gets super quiet, I was the only one on the bus because I rode it to the end due to my lonely thinking and the bus driver this time was not a crabby animal at all, he took glances at me to make sure I did not hurt myself. Final tip is please do not take this bus on weekdays if going towards or coming in from Ocean beach. It gets super crowded during week days because it is a "school bus". Be courteous because during that hour it would make frequent stops. -
Michael’s 4-star review: Oh yes this bus. I am not from the county of San Mateo but there were some times where I had to ride this thing to the mall and to random places in San Mateo and SF. Those were really good times and I must say if you take it at the right times you can virtually go anywhere but Daly City. I don't understand how this bus is cleaner than the public buses in my county. It can be crowded too but this is the only time I don't care about a bus being full. You can even feel the nostalgia when they put in the old buses. Words on the street is that they were the original from the 80s-90s. The seats on the bus are really comfortable and the ride is really relaxing. This bus is also good for if you want to transfer to a bus that goes to Daly City. The best time to ride is in the afternoon. -
Michael’s 3-star review: Back in the day when I was at CCSF I rode the T Line a lot. It has became part of my life every since high school. Among all the relationships I had I always rode the T Line with whoever I was dating. If you are low on money this is a good transportation idea when going on a date. When I ride the T line by myself, sometimes I am the only one on it. Best time to ride is 10am when there is no noise. The T Line has even became my escape from break ups too. Took off 1 star because at night it is not safe another because it can be slow at times. -
Michael’s 5-star review: Wow this place is the best Italian sandwiches I have ever seen. I can never get something like this in SCC. It is better than Ikes. The staff is really nice and really put their best effort into making my order. I did not know the transport options of CV but I must declare either way I made it here and it was worth it. In Los Altos it was so expensive but here it was cheap and so were the Italian drinks. -

Michael’s 4-star review: I got one word to say when riding this bus: Chaaarge! You have to do it otherwise you are stuck with the 30 Regular which is no good in meeting the demands of tourists, work breakers, and locals. This bus is not fast enough to meet the standards of 160x Johor Bahru- Jurong East from SBS Transit. Don't tell me this bus is a pathetic excuse because it is a life saver especially if you get stressed easily

Michael’s 5-star review: "9 car train bound for Richmond" Before 5/2019 and 1/2020 I was a regular at this BART station. It was the nearest one at the time and costed me less money to board here than in Fremont. I must declare there was a short time where I worked for the agency and it brought me easy access to where I was assigned to at the time. I had so many good memories here from dates with people I have been in relationship with to unfortunate interviews in the area. If you are transferring by the C-train all you have to do is go through the transfer gates if you are a clipper card holder. Otherwise you must follow the signs to ticket machines on the top level. Note: Choose this station for weekends in San Francisco because you can park for free and save time. There is 0 fear of a full parking lot so park to your hearts content. I will continue to use this station if I am not going to the Berkeley area. -
Michael’s 3-star review: Long and boring. This bus notoriously sucks. Back in the day when Chinatown was safe, it was packed full of people mostly senior citizens who are either trying to buy groceries or pack up local restaurants or wishing to congregate in Chinese restaurants. However it gets worse. If you are a tourist here, don't bother finding a seat because you will get very angry and get off the bus before getting to your destination. Some of the drivers who work this route are so annoying. I think it was around my community college days in the early 2010s that I was almost taken out by a bus driver who ran a red light. The light was NOT yellow and he decided to proceed anyways. I was so close to getting hit. As much as I like bus horns, some of the drivers are a little "horn" y. They will honk for no reason. I once saw a bus driver who honked the horn because she was angry. If you want to get somewhere in a hurry don't take this bus because you will be bored out of your head. Please take an express bus if you can.
