I have a friend in town & would love to take her to Alcatraz but I'm afraid for not only our personal safety, but the safety of my vehicle. If this city/parking garage can't enforce laws, is it a risk worth taking?

I've been to the city a hundred times or more.  I've been to this parking garage dozens of times.  I've never experienced crime here.  You have to have common sense though. Don't leave things visible in your vehicle. Pay attention to your surroundings.   You're at risk of crime everywhere, in any city or town.
