CVS - I'm sorry, but what happened to all the nice Longs and Walgreens that were clean and fun to shop at, with their garden shops, and art and school supplies?  Where are the Longs with their fabric departments and Hallmark aisles?   They have all been replaced by dirty CVS Pharmas that are seedy, understocked, poorly lit and even more poorly staffed.  The stench of poverty and desperation fills the air as people line up with bargain groceries and random 40 ouncers.   So sad.   What HAPPENED?  CVS is an unwelcome addition everywhere.

Turn signals.  Use them, people.   I have never been in a town where so few people use turn signals, yet people weave in and out of lanes.  Drive defensively, my friends!  I am talking East Bay, here, especially Oakland and Alameda.  Mother of GOD, people, use your damn turn signals.

Car washes.  Where the F are they?  What happened to them?  Why must I drive to F'ing Concord to get a $17 car wash.   In "other" places, gas station have little huts where you pay $5, drive into a little carport and have a car wash happen to your car for 5 minutes while you are in it.  The water is recycled.  The car is clean.  Win win.  Where are those places here?

There's a drive-thru car wash right off the freeway in Emeryville

Jeezus, Stephanie, you're in Moraga??  There's a fucking carwash in Orinda at the Shell station.  But really I'd recommend Lil Bear in Walnut Creek.

I like when schools are back in session because when fundraising season starts, those kids do a pretty good job

That shell station near the 24 entrance?  That is a wash by hand place!  They'll charge you $50.  Fer chrissakes, its Orinda.   I want a cheap car wash.    Lil Bear? I think thats the $25 place.  I want a quick $5 wash.   Get gas, punch the "I want a $5 wash" button.  Drive into the wash station.  Listen to a tune or two while the spray does its thing.  Drive out through the drier.  Voila.

C'mon people, you have nothing to complain about?   Allergies?   Malpractice at Kaiser?   Eggshells in your omelette?  Neighbors who water their lawns into oblivion during the worst drought in recent history?

    how did CVS change Walgreen's?

I haven't gone into a CVS since they put all their sales requiring their ID cards so they can track your purchases.

I paid like 8 bucks for the one off the Shellmound exit. I had to wait for the two cars in front of me but I didn't get upset about it. Sorry

$8?  Yeah, that's what I am looking for!  $8 will work and I don't mind waiting for a couple of cars.  Shellmound? Is that Emeryville?

And you can sit in your car all day:p
I live in Alameda and you're correct Stephanie about the turn signals . I think this city takes anti turn signal cereal.
Please people go at least 28 MPH

You're smoking crack.  Orinda Shell is automated.  $6 basic wash; 8 gets you like extra soap or something, $9 deluxe.  Lil Bear, "Featuring Shiny Cars," is also automated, prices about the same, but the wash is more thorough and the gas is cheaper.  You're welcome.

YES!  For the first week I worked there, I misread the signs and thought the speed limit everywhere was 35, not 25 and probably pissed all kinds of people off.  But yeah, people don't use turn signals there at ALL and if people went at least 28, I wouldn't have to yell so much.

On the positive side, Alameda has some really yummy cheap restaurants.    The Ark -- noodles hand made by a little old man who stretches them painstakingly everyday as if it were the 17th century.  They serve them in garlic sauce with a ton of fresh garlic for $6.95.  I will suffer through just about anything to get at these.  To DIE for!!

You're Crazy lady. Now I know it was you who passed me up trying to get out of this place. Lol
It funny how I'll drive everywhere with no seatbelt and speed a bit but once crossing over the bridge or the tube ,"CLICK". Auto response.
