    I'm taking my son to the Mariners/Giants game in Seattle next weekend. Where's a good, clean, cheap
    place to stay either near Safeco Field or within public transportation from? Also, how do we get to
    Seattle from the airport? Are there hotel or downtown shuttles?

    You can walk to Safeco from any downtown hotel.....about 1 mile away or catch a cab (5-10 minutes).  Most hotels in the area (Westin, Sheraton, Marriot, Renaissance, W, Hyatt) will not be cheap.. Lower costs hotels (Holiday Inn Express, Residence Inn) will be by the Space Needle area and  2 miles from Safeco (10-15 mnutes) by cab.

    I would rent a car and drive to Seattle from airport, but parking at downtown hotels are $$$$.  To save money, just cab it
    80$ round trip.
