On my endless quest for places of romance I hit up search only to find loads of eateries. I'm looking for hidden nooks, secret cafes, alleywalls, rocks for perching. My new fave is sunset from the Hangar One distillery. Guaranteed booty. :P Any suggestions?

  1. Are you kidding?  Almost anywhere.  A slow elevator, a fire escape, an unpopular museum room, church basements.

Office store rooms, hardware store aisles, rooftop gardens, sculpture gardens.

DMV waiting lines, pedestrian crosswalks.  Lobby benches!  Concession stands!

Waiting rooms, department store window displays, cabs and elevators.

Walking back up to my old apartment from the lake and making a stop in the Cleveland Cascade - love it. It had such a nice view of Oakland and was great for sunset watching.

Except for the homeless people...they were pretty good at the cockblocking. You don't makeout with someone if you think you're going to get shanked.

Speaking of the caves at Sutro Baths... last time i was there (during the middle of the day like at 2pm) and a couple was on the other side of the cave with tongues down each others throat. Normally I wouldn't have thought it a big deal but I thought it was pretty crass considering all the people in the area (kids included).

Get a nice hidden spot or get a hotel room people. No need to show the kids what the birds and the bees are about in person.

-Lawrence Hall of science parking lot, 3rd row up I think, middle of the parking lane has no light there (really dark--the darkest spot there). Park towards the middle so that random popers don't roll on you, or will at least have to drive over to you & gives you some "recovery" time... avoiding any lewd conduct potential.
-Top of Mosier Ln in El Cerrito (leads to the Arlington golf course... another spot)
-Super-Secret Spot: nothing but a picnic table in the middle of a field, surrounded by trees. Perfect for star-gazing. Near the Arlington park, but up & over the hill behind the structure & down again into the secret field.
-Presidio is always good. too many spots to name.
-Fort Miley: extra creepy sexy time.
-Sutro Park: path off to the left side of the park.
-Inspiration Pt. in Tilden (bwahahaha, had to say it)

Someone already mentioned the Rose Garden in berkeley, but I'd like to elaborate...

They technically close at 10. I've been caught "being" there after 10. I have also NOT been caught there after 10. It's a risk worthy of taking, especially on a warm summer night when the roses are all smelly. If you get caught, some cop just tells you to leave. Just make sure not remove to much clothing.

I'll write up a review for it Ligaya...everyone in the Fremont/union city/pleasanton area goes to the upside down airplane as an excuse to get some action and park their cars down the side of the road. On a busy weekend, you can see cars parked with the windows fogged up on the way up and down from the airplane. Oooo naughty!

Believe it or not, The Mountainview cemetary at the north end of Piedmont blvd. is a beautiful, historic park like setting, great for picinics, and making out behind the moseleums!   The views at the top of the hill are great of the bay area, in all directions.  it was landscaped by Frederick Olmsted, the same guy who did Central and Golden Gate parks... No kidding, this place will wow your intellectual, artist, or outdoor enthusiast friend, with or without benefits!
    GO!

  5. The Hot Tubs in Berkeley. Rent a small room with a hot tub and a sauna for an hour, pretend you're a swanky resort and caught the eye of a sexy stranger... "So... come here often? It's my first time..." Bawww-chicka-waww-waww...

Take the 65 bus up Euclid St, or walk up during sunsets, past Codornices Park / Rose Garden, there are plenty of residential streets with hidden stairwells.
Beautiful sights, fresh air, lovers gaze.
