I have a gut feeling that the United States is next in line to pay our dues for peak oil.  Now that we have witnessed 9-11, The Patriot Act, the housing bubble, Bank Bailouts, Auto industry bailouts, SEC fraud, Debt Ceiling fraud and now the Super Congress....do we continue to sit on the couch like a deer in headlights?  Should you get your house in order now? Who out there feels that ignoring all this will be suicide for yourself and your children?  What are you doing to prepare for this?

Dude -- thank God you don't live in London.  Wall Street and other stock markets are nothing more than fancy casinos.  Don't worry -- we will pull through this huge mass; we'll all have to downsize and reduce our discretionary spendings and save more money.  The rich will get richer, the middle class will continue to erode and diminish in scope and size and the poor will get poorer.  But the world will survive.  Just take it easy and wait for the markets to purge themselves.

i think there's going to be tea running through the gutters after the 2012 elections with a new dem sweep that could see the rich paying for the mess they created.  the actions of the rich will eventually demand and equal reaction from those they've destroyed.  and just like FDR had to initiate the new deal to prevent a real communist revolt, so will the next congress finally push obama to actually rule like a dem.

I am far from a survivalist, or a "prepper", but I can tell you this.  I learned a very valuable lesson when 9-11 happened.  Flights up to Alaska, almost became a thing of the past, Ships coming onto docks with fresh fruits, and veggies, and supplies, were held up to the point where store shelves became a little bare ands supplies were running low.  People I talk to up here learned alot too, friends that I have that are very mild and mannered folks now have a 4-6 month supply of food, water, meds, first aid, wood, canned goods, freeze dried goods, and generators, both fuel and solar.  You get taken by surprise once, and that is all one really needs to learn...

Because of prop 13 CA isn't really a blue state when it comes to the budget. But look at the national level. Clinton had a surplus. Then Bush showed up, lowered taxes, started two unfounded wars, increased medicare spending (part D), and pointed the country in the direction of the recession by greatly reducing regulations. Now we have a recession and a huge deficit.

And now the republicans are against any sort stimulus spending...I guess they want us to repeat Japan's "Lost Decade"

I vote Asiatic B. for next secretary of defense.  If you look at Greece and Iceland...both have defaulted on their debt but neither country has experienced massive social unrest or food riots yet.  The entire globe is experiencing the final collapse of a fiat currency/fractional reserve banking system first.  Things will get bad when oil production can no longer keep up with the supply demand.  The first signal will be food prices rising quickly.  This is why O'Bomba is bombing Libya, Syria and Sudan right now.  No change...just more of the same Bush bullshit.

If you think about the DJIA it's kinda meaningless just like the credit rating agencies that lied about the United States having AAA credit.   I think we all agree that this ponzi scheme of paper and digital wealth is only being held together by over extending our military and distracting the American people with American Idol and Murdoch's fake global news.   I think our fate is determined by slowing oil production that is incapable of meeting the demand of the earth's population.   This is why we are bombing Libya, Sudan and intervening in Syria right now.  Our last DOW low was 7,000 something right?  I think the next low will dip below 7,000 in two months.  Let's hope I'm wrong and that I eat some dookie with mayo sauce ;)

There may be a slight uptick in the DOW for awhile since the globalist NATO force is almost done robbing Libya.    The challenge is will the oil be difficult to get flowing to France and Italy?  Libya may turn into another quagmire like Iraq and the 144 tons of gold that will be confiscated will suppress gold prices for the short term propping up the dollar for a bit....so enjoy cheap Starbucks and gas for a little while longer kids.  Blood for Starbucks! And when all of this was going on in Congress, it was said that Reagan raised the debt ceiling 14 or 16 times during his presidency.

  2. And to answer this thread, "No."

Yes, commodity prices are soaring and will continue to do so. Oil prices will increase because of continued unrest in the Middle East. Gold may reach $4,000 a troy ounce by year's end.

But the world isn't going to hell in a handbasket. Nor will there be riots on the streets. And if you want your money to rot and not have enough for retirement, by all means, by all means, avoid the stock market.

So Jennifer are you saying that their is an infinite amount of oil in the ground and the supply will meet the demand for ever?  Those of you who fail to understand that oil production is on the decline are in for a rude awakening.   The reason why Bush and now Obomb'a are creating this civil unrest in the middle east is old British tactics.  Create civil unrest and you have a quagmire situation where you can now usher in Haliburton.   The reason why deep water horizon is called deep water is because their is no more oil in the shallow depths of the gulf.   Shale, coal and corn energy is all unsustainable and will not meet the earth's population demand.  Something has to give and first the bankers will fight within this ponzi scheme of paper wealth until mother nature gets up to bat last.  That's coming soon....I hate to say it.   That's just my opinion...I hope I'm wrong.

Oil reserves in Libya are the largest in Africa and the ninth largest in the world with 41.5 billion barrels (6.6010^9 m3) as of 2007. Oil production was 1.8 million barrels per day (29010^3 m3/d) as of 2006, giving Libya 23 years of reserves at current production rates if no new reserves were to be found. Libya is considered a highly attractive oil area due to its low cost of oil production (as low as $1 per barrel at some fields), and proximity to European markets.

You can't fix a country that relies on selling ferry boat tickets and booking hotels on the Island of Crete.  The Greek default will cause a systemic failure of the rest of Europe.  Printing paper doesn't fix the problem.

Wow! Look! Even the president of the United States is a conspiracy theorist.  Straight from his mouth:  "We can't just drill our way to lower gas prices -- not when we consume 20 percent of the world's oil," Obama said in the address, recorded during a visit Friday to a Virginia jet engine component plant.   news.yahoo.com/obama-str…

Awesome, finally some people that are awake.   Spoiled is precisely the perfect word for Americans.  Where some people around the world can't even get running water or gas to heat the house....I hear Americans complain about stuff like..."I bummed my favorite mac-n-cheese was taken off the menu."  or  "The line at Starbuck's was too long this morning..f*ck!"

yeah there are plenty of those stories ie MK Ultra,Project Monarch,Artichoke,Northwoods,Crack Epidemic,etc..

    sfweekly.com/2012-03-14/…

the funny and perplexing thing is that as time goes on more&more stories are leaking like this, yet somehow people still outright flatly deny that there is anything out of the ordinary going on..

just saw a black helicopter flying overhead too, guess that's just a figment of my imagination too..

No Norton that's not it. The school system is a very good tool to indoctrinate. I goofed off a lot in school so I didn't get brainwashed. I did finish high school and had enough confidence to start my own Business .
No more, I have to go to work for anyone. Being led to the slaughter house is not my cup of tea.

that's not what..? i'm just documenting some of the more well known false flags&covert ops missions..

but i agree with the indoctrination thing, except now its being spread from schools&television to the internet, that's why your starting to see all of these internet censorship bills on the agenda&even jobs&schools are monitoring the internets proceedings now..

I never predicted an apocalypse.  Collapse can be a slow decline as long as oil is being delivered from Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.  I predicted higher gas prices and inflation leading to oil shock and food shortages.  The only way we will see a noticeable full on collapse is if we experience an oil shock due to all out war with Iran or a run on the banks takes place.  However with oil currently at $104 a barrel, of course Amazon is beating Best Buy.   Best Buy has to pay shipping and building lease for their big box stores.  The cost of shipping is high due to high (oil) prices plus Best Buy still has to pay it's employees.  So due to high (oil) prices and other overhead costs..i think it's safe to say people are not willing to go out  and drive to buy when they can get it cheaper online.   This is not just about poor strategic decisions, but pretty much a result of this bust cycle created from high oil prices and fiat monetary policy.   -Just my opinion     take it like a grain of salt.   And no it's not just Obama's fault but all the other presidents including ourselves for buying into all this shit.  Our money keeps them going.  Get it? Probably not.
