So Avenue magazine gives the nod to Laurier Lounge which I agree with.....runner up however was bistro 2210.

Anyone keen on galaxie, diner deluxe, dairy lane?

You must try Vendome Cafe. I can't stop harping on about this place and what a gem it is.

Joel's review about Elements Bar and Bistro got me convinced that it's the next place I need to go to for brunch. Aside from that, I don't do brunch very often. My mornings and afternoons are way too busy.

Glenmore Inn has a surprisingly decent brunch buffet, though I wouldn't call it the best. If they were more accommodating to vegans and the lactose intolerant, I'd up my view of them. Deerfoot Inn and Casino has a tasty brunch buffet, with offerings like watercress salad. I love watercress!

Vendome has brunch? I've had food there and it's pretty good, but I didn't know they serve brunch!

Dairy Lane for breakfast was surprisingly not as good as I expected. My omelette was overdone and the potatoes aren't as good as Red's. I'm a big fan of Red's.

My fave is Belmont diner in marda loop. I've been going for years and I never get tired of it.

Mmm... I'm a little bit in love with the French toast at Vendome.

Love love love Dairy Lane. Used to love Diner Deluxe but heard they have new owners and things have changed, haven't had a chance to stop by and check it out yet.

@Carol oooh yes Vendome serves brunch! Their eggs bennies are to DIE for. And their french toast looked pretty good too, though I've never tried it. Wendy seems to have though :)

Dairy lane is great - I haven't tried anything for brunch other than the classic breakfast and it's bang on.  I have been dreaming about the bacon and avocado breakfast sandwhich from holy grill - soooo good! I also liked the breakfast combo thing that milestones has, I don't know if I would call it the tastiest or anything but it's fun to have a boozey drink and a fruit plate with brunch.

I have been wanting to try Thomsons brunch buffet, melrose, and Oeb....so many. I have a hard time commiting to calling things "favorites" but breakfast/brunch might just be my favorite meal of the day.....

I tried Tilted Grill on 4 St for brunch a few weeks ago. The food was really great, and it wasn't busy. I don't know about you, but I don't want to wait in line and be jammed right next to someone at the next table on a Saturday/Sunday morning.

Yeah...Diner Deluxe has the retro vibe but I enjoyed the food at Dairy lane more.
Belmont is okay but mostly for location convenience
To try list - Vendome, Red's, Barsserie
    Anyone been to OEB?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Coup as they serve up an amazing breakfast/brunch/lunch menu.
I am also a fan of Red's but find my experiences there to be very hit or miss. As mentioned, Dairy Lane is also pretty cute.

We love going out for brunch but our "go to" places tend to be a bit non-traditional.  9 times out of 10 we head to either Regency Palace for dim sum or Pannenkoek House for the potato/onion/bacon pannenkoek.  Yum!  When we do go out for traditional brunch, we often head to Canmore to eat at Chez Francois.  The decor is nothing to write home about but their brunch offerings are stellar.
