Is there cheap parking in San Francisco

Why is rent in sf so expensive?? I am dying to move out there and transfer for my job, but the cost of living is outrageous next to LA or OC!!

That depends where your at in the city.

Even Burlingame, daly city, San Bruno, redwood city... Any where... Is Richmond a good area.. Is it close to SFO?

@Maria- Richmond is good if you like wearing Body Armor , and make no eye contact people.

maria you should check out rentals in the sunset district...
that is a straight shot to sfo, 20 minutes w/o traffic

street parking can be found but it's become more and more of a pain over the last decade

Japantown's plaza parking isn't too expensive. I think it's a couple bucks and hour (maybe $2-3?) so it's not too ridiculous unless you're spending the whole day there. There's also a parking building in the Mission (around 18-20th st?) That was $2 for the first hour. That was towards the evening so I'm not sure if it's the same price during the day. (But no one really goes to the Mission during the day anyway...)
