Hi.Normally I use Tripadvisor but I think Yelp would be more relevant for me. I've been to NYC a few times but it was merely to visit family and we never left Queens. I'm 31 and visiting my grandmother at the end of the month. I'll be with her for a few days in Forest Hills, but then I'm getting a hotel by Grand Central for 2 nights. Just some questions that I'm hoping some could assist with if possible.

1. I know it's going to be hell this summer taking the ferry to go to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The first one leaves at 8:30 and the website says to get in 30 minutes early. I've also read that the wait could be 90 minutes. How early do you think I should get in to catch the 8:30? To do both (not going up the crown though) this is typically what,
a few hours?
2. Do you know of any good voucher sites other than Groupon, LivingSocial, and Travelzoo to find discounted tours and restaurants? I'm already buying discounted tours from there for a ghost tour, gangster tour, Seinfeld tour, and a Speak Easy tour. I'm traveling solo (my grandmother has mobility issues and doesn't really leave Forest Hills) and almost all the discounted voucher sites for restaurants cater to 2 or more people (I'm a loner).

I like Goldstar for discounted events. They aren't vouchers so you don't run into the 2 person requirement. And you still get deeply discounted tickets to shows and boat tours.
