Hey guys... so what are your go-to spots for servicing your baby (your car)? I'm talking tires, repairs and maintenance and also... car washes! It's time to get our whips ready for another brutal winter.

For quick and easy car washes, Delta Sonic does a pretty great job. And they send out coupons.

I always had a good experience with Rich's Wood Dale Tire, for tires and general repairs/maintenance -- I'm gonna miss them. However, we're now closer to Nofsinger's in Lombard, which has an amazingly high star-average, so I figure I'm in good hands there.

Areawide Automotive in Addison is 5 Star (see my review).

Savvitt Auto in Downers Grove is very good too.

Areawide is in Lombard (close to the Addison border). I liked them too, they put in a battery for me. I also have gotten several oil changes at Pro Stop, which is right next door.

I go to Fairview Auto in Downers Grove.

Don's Auto Aid in Wheaton for repairs.

53 Car Wash in Lisle for car washes.  I have used Delta Sonic in Downers Grove and the car wash part is good but the quick detail lacks.

Dan Wolf's Toyota of Naperville, hands down. I wouldn't trust my Prius with anyone else. They are amazing!

Up north in Vernon Hills is Star Auto Authority (see my review).  Fantastic serice, 3yr, 36000mi warranty on all repairs.  Costs a little more, but 100% worth it.  And FREE COOKIES AND STARBUCKS!

I agree with Delta Sonic for washes - what type of car do you have?  I'm a dealership girl, (my grandpa used to own one) so depending on the type of car you drive I might be able to recommend a dealership / service writer to speak with!

Believe it or not, Jennings Chevrolet.  They are honest and are many times cheaper than independent garages.  They are also right next to a Metra station which is convenient if you work downtown.  Best of all, oil changes are around $20 at all times.

I get mine done at DIY.
Way cheaper than a stealership.

I love Pete's Automotive in River Forest, on Lathrop and Madison. Honest, fair prices, has never let me down. He's busy always but is good about scheduling you in when it's an emergency.

I am a fan of Scott's at Firestone on York Road in Elmhurst. I am treated well there and get prompt service.
