Ok ok i got a idea . How would you feel if a man runs a 24hrs day care  . Im really thinking about doing it.
24hrs mon-thurs and friday -sunday is open anytime but a little extra cost .

Ok guys give me your honest opinion about this matter.

    Scream at me

I think it would be too expensive to run and staff a center 24hrs a day.

If you know night-shifters that need this care; approach them directly. It only cost 100 bucks and proof of insurance to get an in-home childcare permit for 3 kids (not-related) or less.

I think the idea has some legs, but culture-wise, very few people will pay to leave their kids with a dude.

    Why do I bothering responding??

I mean why does a man want to run a day-care?
Is there some reason he can't do something else??

And no, I would never leave my child in a day-care ran by a guy...

You need to pass a background check, have a license, have a wyalification in first aid/cpr, and qualifications regarding child development. Additionally, your daycare will need to pass health/safety.

Joe, you picked the fight. You still haven't answered my question. Do you have any experience that qualifies you to shit all over that vocation?

Wow, someone needs a time out.

All I wanted to know is WHY the OP was interested in running a day-care?
Was there some reason he couldn't do something else?
    I think day-care is a valuable vocation.
    Just not with a guy...

You like regulations? You like parents complaining to you at all hours? You like being on the look out for any sign of trouble 24/7?

That's an admirable task....I'd start with a 10 hour day care center first...then again I know nothing about day care centers. Just be prepared for a blizzard of rules/regulations for your business. THEN be prepared for another avalanche of paper work and rules and regulations regarding employees.

Parent response:  I would have been leery of leaving my kids at a 24 hour spot.   It doesn't matter if you checked out as an honest eunuch with liver camera feeds ... I would not have utilized such a service.

Having said that, when my daughter was a baby she had a regular home day care.  There was a point we left her overnight at that persons home ... but we had relationship for nearly a year at that point.  We also utilized a commercial baby-sitting business one time -- but that was evening, not overnight.  The cost was too prohibitive to use it more than once.

So, unless parents have a regular relationship with you taking care of their kids, not taking chances with my kids is more important than any night on the town without them.

I don't think I'd have a problem if I really knew the dude or if he came with references (pretty much standard whether he was a dude or not). But I would wonder what kind of man would honestly make himself available 24/7. I mean, it's noble an all but it would make having a social life a bit tricky, no?

Have you already ruled out child therapy? I think you'd be great at it.

I am much more concerned with your idea of a 24 hr child care.

    1.  You need to staff at least 3 shifts.  I take it you are not considering doing this all by yourself, right?
    2.  Your neighbors are going to be up in arms over a 24 hr business.
    3.  Childcare is one of the most regulated business in California.  Are you ready to deal with all the bureauratic requirements?

I would totally leave my kids with a guy who posts pictures on a restaurant review site of himself with his shirt open and his pants pulled down.

    Scare those little fuckers straight!
