Yeah if you want pennies on the dollar.
1974 isn't that old when it comes to guitars and Gibson has never been renowned for their acoustic guitars.
OP, if this is real then Google is your friend.
Otherwise,  get off this here dating site.

I had to clear out a family members house to get it ready to sell. There was just about everything you can imagine that was only worth giving stuff away to people that needed it?
Old stuff in general that is in great condition is considered JUNK unless you can give it away for free.
The end result of clearing out this house was to pay a company that sorts it all, recycle, Donate, and rest goes to the dumps.
The best thing I did was offer everything for free to many people that took it away. This saved me a lot of money.
The quote from the removal company ended up being half.

I have a 1975 harmony guitar I pull out from under the bed once in awhile. I have never thought of it being worth anything.

I used to work near Harmony Organ BITD. (Everybody called it that, for whatever reason.) They were strictly entry-level, as far as I know. They also made the Sears Silvertone line. It was a classical woodworking shop. Through a window near the top of the building you could see the power shafts, with belting coming off the pulleys. The factory closed and the work moved to Asia.

You could tell when it was payday thanks to another Chicago institution, Thillens Checkcashing. An armored truck would show up, and cash paychecks for a fee.

I don't think the quality has as much to do with it Michael as that they were the leading seller of guitars at the time and there are a million of them out there. It is probably worth the $120 I paid for it new. The model I bought had a really tinny sound I liked at the time and it has a twisted neck like the fenders. There were ten of millions of them.

I have known a few people that had old Martins. Well, they were already old in the seventies, I can only imagine what they would be worth today.
