I had a bad experience with a new med spa. Which resulted in me having 2 absess's  on my arm from being burned by the laser. They tryed to blame me and would not own up to it. All I asked for was a refund for the remaining treatments.  In the end she had me so upset that to shut me up they ended up giving that to me plus my medical co-pays since I had to go back every other date to change the packing.  I am still mad as hell with the way I was treated.. Is it fair to write a bad review if they did refund your money or not??? Oh and after all that then the manager she the pastic surgeon there would be happy to fix any scarring  if needed. WTF I thought it wasn't your fault!!

Whoops. Sounds like not fessing up and doing the right thing at the outset could cost this biz much more in the long run :P

Did you sign any agreement or contract?  Show that to your lawyer too.

you kind of DID just write a review...... not specific though with a name.  sry you had such a hellish experience.

Yes I did sign an agreement but I do not think it will hold up. This is clear malpractice. I am just not the type that runs out and sues people. I think I am going to go ahead and write it. I would hate to have anyone else go through this.

you could just make a new profile and review it like everyone else is.

I wouldn't if I were you. Sounds like the took care of you. You could possibly be sued yourself IF you don't include all events in your review. Getting a lawyer to sue them for personal injury won't net you much( the Lawyer will take 40% plus expenses, the Hospital and doctors will place a lien on your settlement for any unpaid fees ( they're likely to raise the fees too) you end up with the rest which many times is less than 15% of the total settlement). It's better to write a letter to the Company letting them know what you've been through and ask for compensation for the pain and suffering (this is called a demand letter). They will forward it to their Insurance Co. An adjuster will call and deny any liability. You explain to them that Payment of medical treatments MIGHT be construed by a jury as liability and you don't really wish to go to the trouble of having to sue. You Say "why waste the time as this will settle in my Favor and cost more in the long run. The lawyers will get rich, and insurance will pay more, publicity will be bad and costs go up". See what they'll offer you.

carin, I think it is wise to pursue this thru legal channels. Period. If you DO write a review, truth. Past lawsuits make it scary to write a review. However, if you decide to do so, I say leave out the emotion. A review that says, e.g. "I did not have a good experience w/my laser treatment" seems fair to say. Others who read your review can make up their own minds. My (non-legal) opinion.

It seems to me that other reviewers have gotten into review lawsuit land in that they strayed from fact & have written emotionally about their experiences. Good luck w/whatever you decide to do. And so sorry you had such a bad time.

Thanks John.. Luckily I would not have to pay any attorney fee's since I got one in the family! He would just do it for me. I really don't want to go down that road although I will talk to him and see what he thinks. Today they took all the packing out to let it finish the healing prosess. I am a professional figure athlete about to begin my contest season and I have not been able to train for a few weeks :(  It looks soo foul  right now so really it will depend on how it heals up as to what I will do. As i do get paid for my  physique and photo shoots..
