I was in Sacramento and in Merced recently and I went to a few Taquerias in both cities and they didn't have any idea what Quesabirria was.

  5. It's big here now and like that. I'll take a Michelada too.

  7. Uh let's see,  it's not the one with Chairman Mao as a logo.

  8. BTW  what's that taco with the dip? Is it the same?

  9. Are we talking about the meaty taco you dip in a broth?

We need to have some real Birrierias. I will take an order of Birria De Chivo Tatemato A Fuego Lento please.

  11. I prefer some Tacos El Gobernador, i rarely see those on menus in SF

  12. Yes Umesh, its consommé - not a dip. But you can dunk your taco in it if you like.

  13. Lol. Ok. Thanks.

  14. I thought one dunks their tamales/churos in runny quesabirria tacos.

I remember when I was a kid in the 80's Birria was rare it was mostly made on special occasions like a wedding or a quinceanera or a holiday no different then Pozole or Menudo. But neo I see it everywhere especially with the Birria taco fad.

  15. I'm very sorry,  its not Chairman Mao. It's Chairman Bao. An Asian fusion restaurant and food truck.

  16. I know I've eaten Quesabirrias at Canasta Kitchen in Alameda. I told them I'd try their food.
