Planning a trip to Sacramento to visit a friend who lives Downtown (1804 K Street, I think it was).  Coming in a car.  What are my weekend parking options?  We'll be "out" during the days, so I'm only looking for evenings and overnight.  I've heard about an "East End" lot on 17th between Capitol and L (?) that was supposed to have overnight parking cheap.  True?  Safe-enough place?

Note: I won't be there on a Second Saturday, which I understand is tough times for parking.
    Thanks

I live close by there, there could be some places like a block or so over that you can just park at. Parking ON K street is a hassle but a neighborhood round the block or so you might have some luck :) best part is you won't have to pay!

Parking is free on Sunday and after 6 PM. If you're going to be at 1804 K Street, you can park during the day at the state lot (East End) at 17th and L Street for $2.

Oh, wait--you said you'd be out during days. Overnight parking is free after 6 PM, no time limit on Sunday. Don't leave anything of value in your car.

    William and Ana.  Thanks large.

  1. That neighborhood can get a little over-parked, so try a couple blocks north (towards A) if there isn't easy street parking on L, J or I.
